This is awesome. I bought some of this screening a year or so ago at a quilt show and never knew what to do with it. Can't wait to try this. Thank you so much.
Hi Deb ! I just want to thank you for making these instructional videos. I have learned so much from them ! I am going to make totes. I would also like to make some with pockets inside.....to use like a purse. Maybe another tutorial from you on how to do that? I have an idea, but you seem to know exactly how to do these types of projects ! Thanks again !
+Jack and Chris Warren I'm so glad that you like the videos! My talents definitely lie in simple patterns. For things that are more complex, like purses with flaps and pockets and zippers, try commercial sewing patterns. I've seen beautiful magazines and mini-books at JoAnn's.
+Donna H I have two sources in the written instructions: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592 JoAnn's carries black, and Metro Screenworks carries more colors. Also, I've seen it at Home Depot, under the "pet screen" label.
Hi Catolyn, the designs are from Embroidery Library. You can see them in the project instructions listed in the description under the video. I have a direct link for you here: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592
+greenrmytears Oh goodness - no apology necessary! I didn't mention it in the video, because if the colors change or if Metro Screenworks stops selling small amounts, then the video would have bad information. So I just dropped it in to the written instructions. Thanks for asking!
+Rachel Blackburn I've never tried making this bag out of ripstop nylon. Part of the fun is working with the nylon screen. I've found it at JoAnn's in the utility fabric section. Or, try Home Depot, called pet screen.
+Deborah Alvarez It's called Something's Fishy Stack. The written instructions usually has links to the designs featured, and that's a very convenient way to find them and save the instructions also: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592
Can you tell me where you get the nylon screen you talk about in the video? My local craft store doesn't carry it or didn't know anything about it. What I have seen on Amazon is not nylon. HELP!

Will ripstop nylon work? I'd like to make a few of these before we leave for vacation (in about a week lol) and my Joann's doesn't seem to have it.

No stabiliser underneath?
Hi Amanda, we only recommend using one piece of high-quality heavy-weight water-soluble stabilizer. Thanks!
