I love this Art journal page. very beautiful. I’m like what, you covered up background. Lol! Too bad we can’t have the best of both worlds. Beautiful backgrounds with the flowers and cool words. I haven’t gotten past my backgrounds. Still learning to paint. I enjoyed your video very much. Very pretty! Thank you.
I loved the background, and also the finished piece. This is one of my favourite techniques, although I do feel a bit sad when I'm covering up a background I love! Julia.
@@AmberKCreative Thank you but it looked like a regular pen. But I will check the list of supplies. ♥️. I just found it I’m sure it was the Staedler Fineliner.
thanks for this great inspiration. The only thing I´m always to uncouraged to do is to paint with the white acrylic color over the whole page. I did it once and it looked urghghgh.
Love this! I'm also sad about covering up beautiful background, but I'll get over it! :) I LOVE how you put the DW sentiments vertically. You are truly gifted!
Wow! What a happy, lovely page! 💛🎉🌈 Did you know you’d paint over with white? Just curious about your process! I love how it makes the flowers pop! Also, do you find that the fine line marker/pen you used (to draw around the flowers and to draw squiggle writing on the stem) gets clogged or dry when coloring over painted or gessoed or glued areas? Even when they are dry? Any tips for not ruining fine line markers? Thanks! Love your happy uplifting art! 🤗🤗🤗
Hi, Shelly! Yes, I had planned to end up covering most of it with white. But a lot of the time I have no idea what I'm going to do next. 😊 I've ruined millions of pens from writing over paint, but so far these are still working great. 😁
Did you hear me gasp when you covered up your beautiful background? I have done this technique before myself...but didn’t see it coming...🥴 Thank you ...you have inspired me to follow your piece...one side covered the other not....
Your art is beautiful! The music with no talking on the video is soothing. I really enjoy your channel.
Thank you so much!
I usually throw away a background if I don't like it. I've never thought to cover it up. Thanks for sharing.
Using this for cards!😍
This is a really cool technique.
Thank you, Jennifer! 💕
Beautiful! I gasped when you covered the gorgeous background but love the finished piece of art!
Thank you, Susan! 😊💕

Julia.
Can you tell me what kind of pen you used that wrote on the gesso so good?
Hi! That was probably a posca paint pen, but I do have all of the supplies listed in the description. ♥

I started in 2014, after many years of stamping/making cards. =)
Love you page
Thank you!
Love this
Thanks for watching!
NICE!!!!!!! But why go the trouble of making a beautiful background just to paint over it.
It's all about the process. 💕
Cute, but quite a paint waster!
