Good to see Dagda is back in 3D, doing the punch and everything.
I love the fact that they basically just took some regular and boss-exclusive skills from 4 and 4A and said, "Yeah, these are his signature moves now and lets go REALLY FUCKING HARD with the animations."

This is my first tensei megumi and was thinking oh dagda the gaelic god, why is he made to be bad? Then I remembered that he is a pagan God and this game is based on Christianity as "the top" religion cool mix into history with religions
I'm pretty sure he's also like this because, while his name means "the good god", they leaned into the idea that he's good at everything he does, not that he's actually a good person.
That, and he's heavily implied to have come from SMT 4: Apocalypse, the game he debuted in, and in that one he was *not* a happy camper, even if he was the deuteragonist.
It's part of his character from SMT IV:A
he is motivated by dissatisfaction that human observation and YHVH's covenant has confined him into the role of Dagda, one of his demon haunts even has him tell the Nahobino to basically forget every myth he may have heard about him
