- Jeff finally gets to Installing the rear shock towers in the back of his cherokee! These things are awesome if you don't wanna cut your fender wells out to do shock hoops and have water and dirt spray in. They really keep the gunk out. They are very strait forward to install and they don't break the bank either.

Awesome. Doing a spring flip on my xj on tons. Was wanting to put the shocks further out on the spring perch kinda like you did. This gave me some good ideas on making my own shock boxes.

You keep bandaiding the leaf setup? As nice as you dabbed those boxes you surely can build your own trailing arm 4 link. Come on man! Keep putting lipstick on the pig.. I’m still waiting to see how you’re gonna rebuild the C piller area to be able to stuff this tires lol
I did the boxes so in the future I can bolt coilovers in them and run a couple of links and I'm ready to go, don't worry there will be cutting watch the series on the turbo jeep there is lots and lots of cuttin on that one
Do u know the measurements of the inside opening of them. I have coilovers i want to use but the spring is 4.5” in diameter dont know if they will fit.
I'll measure them tomorrow and comment

WHat size shocks did you go with? Length and Stroke?
I went with the longest rx200 shock that rustys offers
@@Grewsum2Sum awesome thanks I'm strongly considering doing this on my Jeep. I also think the crossbar would be an awesome addition for 4-point harnesses and a spare tire mount

@@Grewsum2Sum only difference is I think I would steal the old school drift and drag trailer fender tub trick for the fenders especially with the lifted vehicle and the holes and whatnot it would be more fad but it would look cool and if you got low profile fenders it would actually technically speaking give you more room in the cab for other things

Would this work with Coil-Over?
Yes, with some unibody bracing they say you can run coilovers in these boxes
