I have this exact car and the MSRP without any extras it wasn't $32,000 (for a Limited w AWD), It was actually $34,675 without any optional accessories added on. Absolutely LOVE the car!
He is in Florida so it is probably just FWD.
@@edgallagher8099 He says in the video it's an AWD model and he shows the back of the vehicle which clearly shows an HTRAC badge.
You get so much bang for your buck with Hyundai.
I am so glad that you think so Corey!
I'm debating trading in my HRV For to his, but there is one zonk that's troubling for me.
@@brokeboy87man Honda is soooo much more reliable than Hyundai
@@brado2273it’s 2024, all cars are getting pretty reliable that “Honda and Toyota has the best reliability “ isn’t gonna work much longer
@@brado2273no point in caring whether a car can last 250k+ when they pretty much all can last 150k+ and Honda SUVs are underpowered and boring to drive
I’m sitting here at 1am, watching Raiti and looking at an identical Kona. Really looks lit up at night, very radioactive 😂😂
My mom would love this since she loves this bright colors.
Just purchased one a few weeks ago and loving it. Thanks for the videos covering the different trims, your attention to detail was incredibly helpful in making my decision.
As an owner of a four series BMW and a “last call” Dodge Challenger… This isn’t typically my type of vehicle. But I must say it looks really good, and I do like the interior! Bravo.🎉
The plastic fender/wheel well trim is great for the snow states. The wheel wells are usually the first areas to rust. The plastic trim helps to prevent rust. It keeps the road salt off the paint.
Ofcourse this is better then the Nissan Kicks by lightyears in my opinion. The Kicks has outdated Nissan equipment with a underpowered engine and rubber band cvt transmission.
What's rubber band transmission
Hyundai is pure trash

If you don't drive the kicks hard it's not terrible.
Can we give Hyundai an applause for adding hood struts in a subcompact SUV? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This neon yellow color is what got me to look at new cars. lol I love weird car colors.
19:38 Thank you for making me laugh!!!! You are so much fun and informative as well!!!! I really like the color. I usually don't like the loud colors but that yellow works!!! Again,I love your sense of humor. The car rocks too!!!!
I loved your review 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you are SO FUNNY and enthusiastic! Really appreciate the way you reviewed the car. Made me fall in love with the car 🎉
You're a good test driver and the angle of the camera really presents a good simulation good job sir
It’s a very fruity evening on Raitis rides. First an orange and now a banana. I like the interior on this 👍Thanks Joe !
You are so every right Tom! Sometimes think get real fruit loopy!
The on throttle is so satisfying
so excited for my kona in may🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have a limited. Love it except for the gas milage. I got on the first tank only 20 mpg in normal mode. Not happy. How would I know if I have it locked in 4 wheel drive.
Good job Stephen
I am impressed with this car its sick Korean design
Having a spare space-saver tyre is a big plus.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 👍
If they just made the headlight red and made the lights go back and forth, I'd be back in the Battlestar Galactica days. 😆 🤣 Bring on the Cylons baby!
I think you are spot on the money Chris! LOL
@RaitisRides Oh, I do miss that show, Raiti !
Lol, I love how Joe is obsessed with snacks.
The extra key is not contained within the fob, just so they could make it that cute shape.
I just saw a new Kona in a parking lot and yes for a first time car owner a high school or college student, it might make a fun first car. I have no idea about its reliability...but one could research that on google or YT as well.
NICE!!!
Does anyone know how the IVT drives on the lower trims?
We love @Steven✌🏼Be
Love the color
A wonderful and beautiful economical car
Looks like a bad modded car in GTA but still lightyears ahead of ANYTHING nissan makes lol
You are not the first to say that!
Every 3D camera view in any car should show that specific vehicle's color. It's a very simply software code to write. At the very least, it would be even easier to list the different available colors for the car and you choose the one you have.
I have the 2024 SEL convenience i like it but wish i went for the nline or limited for the better engine
I just saw my first IRL one in the same color and loved it. My current car is a yellow Kia Soul but I want my next car to be AWD. The Kicks looks good but doesn't have AWD. If there was an AWD Soul I wouldn't think twice and would stay with Kia.
I LOVE this color ❤
We have red but love the car😊
There’s a good design I like it
It looks insanly impressive and that is the kind of stuff I like with these companies.
That is a great way to look at it!
@@RaitisRides Always gotta look at the good stuff :)
Headlights and stops are easy to get broken …they put them in a very low position. What were you thinking Hy7ndai?
Calling the key fob a suppository pretty much indicates how you feel about this Twinkie
LOL You know me well!
Are they going to make a KONA N for the 2024 year?
Raiti, you should convince them to give me that exact kona. I really want the yellow one. If they give it to me, a poor little ol student, I'll pledge to be a hyundai spokesperson and advocate for the remainder of my years
I can’t stand that color, but HOLY SH*T that thing looks fine! I’m impressed! Those rear lights look a little crazy being so far down. Everything else looks mint. Might be my next car!
😎 POLARIZING 😎
Hyundai killed it with this remodel. It's 100% on my radar.
Love the tech and power train. The exterior styling sure is something. Denim blue seems to be the classier combo.
Overall, I think they did a great job!
My jeep is that color I love it
You can't even get something as a sunroof on a Nissan Kicks. This new Kona just blows dust in the Kicks face! Car colors are just subjective. I wouldn't choose yellow. But theres people who like to be bold and stand out. And they can with the Kona. And Joe, dont zonk the wiper if you're not zonking other cars in that class with the same wiper placement.
Nice Car!
I am so glad that you think so.
Why would you go with the cutting edge 2012 technology in the Kicks?
Might get one when i trade in my cx3..cx30 too big for moi...
Really like the idea of going to an 8 speed trans. I have a Nissan with the CVT, don't really like it, it's kind of unpredictable as what acceleration you're going to get at full throttle. Strange.
Yes.
Thanks for your vote!
This can be a good creep car 👍🏽🔥👍🏽🔥
LOL Especially if you want to be spotted from a million miles away!
Don't mind this crazy yellow! Bit disappointed by the door-panels...
Yeah that was really rough for sure!
I love it. It's unique and different. Give it more character. The body lines actually remind me of a Lamborghini. But you have to be a true car enthusiast to understand.
The color and the wheel arches...it's a no from me, sir.
I don't blame you!
They forgot to paint the front fender.
i liked geomtry in school. i got a F in it but the teacher was hot. mrs. Maglio 😁 still remember the name
Hi-Liter Yellow🤣 I Like that✊🏾
What I like is Hyundai didn't cut corners with this thing. It has basically all the tech features you would want, minus a heads up display and memory seats. Normally you'd expect a lot of stuff to be missing so you'd upgrade to more expensive models in the lineup, but that really isn't the case here.
Newest infotainment? Check. Ventilated seats and heated steering wheel? Check. Blind spot view cameras? Check. Remote controls on the key fob for moving the vehicle forwards and backwards? Check.
On top of that, the limited has a pretty trusty and decent engine, and a great nornal automatic transmission. And did I mention the all wheel drive system is phenomenal?
Yes
Thanks for your vote!
My question is what kind of 8 speed Automatic transmission is it? Is it a DCT or a Torque Converter Automatic? I like the Hyundai Kona & I like how it looks. Now yes, if everything was perfect then, cars would simply look over styled, bland, & barely anybody will buy them.
That is a great question!
@@RaitisRides Thanks Joe
8spd auto. No DCT.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 Oh that explains a ton.
Can you please do a video on the new f150 single cab with the 5.0 engine in it?
Yes of course Joe & I really loved the color.
That’s pretty nice it’s just the color throws me off. I like it but it’s not a color I would get. Everything else is cool for me
I’d spend a little more & get a Corolla Cross Hybrid or a Subaru Crosstrek
They totally reinvented the Hyundai Kona also joe is turbo or no
It is a full redesign for sure!
@@RaitisRides 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Pumping these videos out like nobodies business!!
Headrest seems to stick further forward than some cars. Volvo used to do that. Might be a deal breaker as to me those are uncomfy.
That is a great thing to notice!
I hope Hyundai will put the heads up display back in fix the center console - make it a bit bigger and close it off and rain sensing wipers back in the Kona Limited for 2025 and up. I love the new Kona - it’s a lot better than the previous years! Can’t wait to get mine in a few years 😃
Fingers crossed they make those changes Amanda!
Thank you for always making me laugh with the food talk! Too funny 😂 I do agree for the price point they should have kept the heads up display. I’m in between the Kona and Tucson. Time will tell. Thank you again for awesome car reviews 😃
This only mean the higher the technology more its going to cost to get it fix if something goes wrong
You can say that about anything with tech
@@RaitisRides getting a car fixed nowadays is just robbery especially if you taking it to a dealer😩😩😩🤣
Thats what cheap people say when they can't afford only but the base model.
@@jraheemjefcoat429cheap far from it niqqa, you probably dont even have a car bumming rides from ya ol lady shut up
Luv the colour, present colours too limited❤
In my own opinion ,it looks great.
I am so glad that you are liking this one.
Good lord the designer had an aneurism half way drawing the wheel arch cladding
I don’t even have to watch the entire video to know this is so much better than the Kicks. Literally the worst modern car I’ve drove to date. Kona all the way!!!
Small??
Look like the Mustang Mac e
New Trax is so much nicer looking inside and out and comes in thousands cheaper
Thanks for sharing your vote on this one.
It also has 137hp compared to 190 on this, and no AWD.
No way the Trax is better. Can't even get rear seat cupholders, lol.
I see more kicks on the road
I loked the horsepower and unique styling but I'd have to go with another exterior color.
Oh i LOVE this color. We have red
😊color is NO GOOD!!!😢😢😢😢Love the Car!❤
They look like an empanada painted yellow.
Now that is first time I have every heard that Sean!
@@RaitisRides they’re healthier than twinkies😂
Lot of car for the $$$
It should have the 2.0L turbo....so, i would rather keep my 2022N. it also gets better mpg than this despite 280 hp...🧐💯🤔😅😅😅😅🤨
Good points for sure!
The variable valve timing is revolutionary and Hyundai and Kia should be proud of a nice engine. What is weird is the plastic coolant lines. Even the transmission is a nice transmission. It’s very smooth. Some of corner cutting seems unnecessary.
At first glance, in that color, it kind of looks like the quarter panels got ripped off the Kona. 🤣 Better than the Kicks? Absolutely. The Kicks is a raised (and upcharged) Versa ...the ultimate econobox on stilts.
Hey Joe ya gotta rethink your wardrobe bro. Black and navy is no no. Your wife can tell ya
I've been looking into a Hyundai for awhile, but have they fixed their literally combusting engines?
Hyundai Kona whips!???
now put it up against a CX-30
jj - thanks brother, tony
I love the color. Gotta have personality for that. 😝
Absolutely Joe. The Hyundai is the way to go over "Any" Nissan because friends don't let friends drive Nissans.
Thanks for sharing you thoughts on this one.
My wife has old style we like it but we only have one child at home so we don’t need anything big
32 K ?!?!?!?! yikes
2024 is a good year, all models look better. I bet it's still a shoe box inside though.
This is true!
It's bigger than the previous model year.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 I hope so I tested a 2021 n line. Me and my dad were damn near touching shoulders and were slim guys.
@@matthewr.33 Trust me, it's roomy inside. You can tell by looking at it.
The current trend of overfenders needs to stop, its just ugly.
I know how you feel!
Glastly plastic cladding on the wheel arches. Didn't they pay attention to the failure of the Honda Element, which didn't correct their stupid plastic cladding mistake until the last year when it was already cancelled. Those last year Honda Elements are beloved, and almost impossible to find used. People love the car. A decent car otherwise, but good grief, how did this car get an MSRP of 32k? we are in a twilight zone where hardly anyone can afford a new car.
The car biz is going to shrink considerably. They have too many gadgets, too many features, all adding to the cost.
It seems like a nice enough mini SUV but i'm really NOT digging the black cladding on the corners, should have been gray IMO. I would opt for going to a Tucson over this.
color is horrible, the big question is being combustible engine, will it burn on the side of the road like my Sedona 2018 LX+?
Got that 1948 fender look. Hyundai's shot at the good old P.T. Loser???
I would do unreasonable things for a Hybrid version of this car. It's offered in Europe. Stop being a coward and bring it to the US, Hyundai!
That is very interesting!
The reason why they didn't bring it because the hp is too slow for the American consumers. They bring it, and people will complain how slow it is compared to the competition.
First!
