Well done you for getting the vip up close with the red arrows this one you will never forget in a long time to come thank you so much for sharing with us all ❤
Thanks so much for this Chris! Really enjoyed it! What an honour to see them up close! I remember in the early 90’s when I lived in Wales & worked in a hotel, we had the whole team of Frecce Tricolori (Italian air display team for those that don’t know) staying there as they were doing an air display in Wales, it was an incredible experience & a few of us got to go see the planes one day, such a special time.
Wow! Lovely red arrows xx I loved it when they used to fly over my back garden on the late Queens two birthdays bringing up the rear of all those other aircraft on their way to The Mall xx
How amazing was that, thanks Chris! Not jealous in the slightest 😅 the closest I've ever been was when I was a few feet away from where they were lined up at Farnborough ... but I watched them take off whilst I was sat in an F18 Hornet (on the ground I have to say LOL), which I'll never forget, a different year at Farnborough.
@SDTVLiveAviation My friend worked for Golfstream at the time, and she got me corporate tickets. I happened to bump into her, and it started out, "you are going to be so jealous," to me joining her for the F18. We had to get up and down the proper way under the wing, I'm only 5'4, boy was that scary 🤣 but we had the American aviators to help us out 😁
Thanks, watched it through, probably some of the best footage of the red arrows on RUclips, I would've been giggling like a kid if I were there! Amazing, thank you.
I went to Scampton a few years ago and the Hawks were in medium level servicing. There were a few pilots hanging around in their red uniforms too. But what I couldn't understand was my partner. What with all those engines and ejection seats lying about, for some reason she was more interested in the pilots. .
@@SDTVLiveAviation I'm not sure that you can anymore. We turned up, I went to the guardroom and told the member of The Regiment that I wanted to see the grave of a dog. The next morning we and another couple were taken around all of the places in the film other than the briefing room which is classified of course. We picked apples off the trees that are just saplings in '53. The grave was so moving, absolutely covered in poppies and crosses. We then went up to Gibson's office before going to see The Reds.
You must have been like a kid in a sweet shop Chris . Once again fantastic PR from both The Reds and Southend airport . Thanks Chris totally amazing
