- When Ember the English Springer Spaniel is in heat and Cole is kept away from her he whines, cries and pants for days until they can be reunited. This does not stop if you remove one of them from the home. Cole knows Ember's cycle and will keep up with the crazy behaviour until Ember is out of heat or until she tells him she is. She had to tell him off for a day or two before he believed her!

Bro, this is December 19, 2023. My female is in heat in my male dog is whining and crying and chirping so loud. It sounds like a bird driving me crazy I’m trying to run my diffuser to get lavender in the in the air. Any suggestions I can do to calm this dog down
@@rickmlamb1 according to the information I found on the internet: female dogs usually goes into the heating period twice a year (almost 1 month per heat).
Symptoms: swollen private part and less interactive or lazy
Here are some of the tips I found:
-Keep your male dog away from your female dog(where he can't get her scent)till the end of her period.
- The area u chose to leave your female dog should always be cleaned up and scent free, also a place where she can relax completely.
- she should wear a diaper just to keep that blood stains and scent within. (This is also to prevent unwanted you-know-what from happening, especially when u take them for a walk and meet other dogs)
-Lastly, I wouldn't highly recommend, (have a wise decision) Spaying your dog. It is a surgery that will involve the removal of the ovaries of the dog. (This can be costly and will never let your dog be pregnant in the future).
Advantages -prevent your dog from getting a cancer and no period.
If this doesn't work now it should help u prepare on the next period. U should also search up more cuz I might have missed out on some information.
@@rickmlamb1 hope that works, btw my family chose the last one since my dogs already had too much puppies and we wouldn't want them to have more and at the end of the day we'll give the puppies away to other people which makes my female dogs a bit upset so we just chose the last one. We also did it to our male dogs. After their surgery, they all began to gain a good amount of weight.

-Heat lasted for 6 weeks
-U decided to spay your dog

It will get over in 3-5 days. Esp the main mating period they go crazy.

Did you keep her intact because you are thinking about letting her have some puppies, or just because you didn’t want to spade her?
Annie’s still intact, but she can’t have any puppies. I signed a paper promising that when I adopted her. Makes for an interesting few weeks a couple of times a year!
I co-own Ember with one of her breeders. I like to show my dogs and get Canadian conformation Championships on them which I have with Ember and Cole. You can’t spay them while you are doing that plus I would like to have one litter and keep a puppy.😊

They do something called tying and you should not separate them.

Why not separate the damn dogs? Can’t you just keep them apart so you don’t torture this guy? Seems kinda cruel of you.
They are separated even in a different t house he still cries as he knows she is in heat. He is neutered now so it doesn’t really matter anymore.
