    Sota is just wonderful.
Mine is a Star Sapphire iii from 1992 with vacuum.
It also has a mod of a Cosmos bearing.
You are going to love it .
They are incredibly reliable and make real music.

Where is part 2?? Always wondered about SOTAs but the website seems to make it look too complicated, thus this video alleviates some of my fears....very well done....but would like to see the part 2.....

unless you have insane money, suspended belt drive is the way to go for best potential sound.

I totally agree that floating suspension turntables are superior to those that rely on plinth mass. The used Sota Sapphire I purchased recently is better than the Comet I used to own which was superior the Technics 1200 I owned before it. The Sapphire along with the Grado Opus 3 cartridge just sounds absolutely glorious on everything!!

@@commandav1 identifying the tonearm was the only reason I clicked in, thanks.

Taking things over the top, again - a record player costing more than $100 is not there for the music but for the ego of the user - this is like buying a Rolex when you already have a digital watch giving you precise time - all the time - but people like to play around and temper their ego and impress others with what they can afford.
