Hey friends! I don't know about you but Twitter hasn't been the easiest part of my author platform to develop... So, I was so stoked when Meg approached me about doing a collab and we decided to interview each other on these different platforms! Did you guys learn a lot about Twitter? What was your favorite tip? Do you have any other questions? Let me know! Also, don't forget to now go to Meg's channel to watch her interview me about all my Instagram Tips! Oh! And I hope you'll join me next week (Thursday, September 20th) where I'll being doing a LIVE Q&A with my friend and fellow author Rachel who will be answering all our questions about Critique Partners! Set your alarms and be sure to leave your CP questions below so I can prioritize your questions!
This was extremely helpful. I am completely new on how to use social media platforms. Learning about this has gained me more confidence about using the twitter platform. Thanks!
Author Brittany Wang, I just came across this 2-way collaboration, Brittany, and you gave the most wonderful info-dense Info dump I’ve ever gotten from author tube. New follower.
Thanks. That was really interesting, especially the stuff about interacting with others to learn about the industry. I hadn't realised it was such a useful tool. I'm sending this to our writers as an educational resource.
Both of the videos are WOW, I have never learned so much about these two platforms like in these 2 videos, really helpful. As soon as I will have a smartphone I will engage more on both platforms, just from a laptop is really hard, especially on Instagram. Have a blessed day, Brittany!
Excellent information! I feel lost on Twitter (and don't even have a business Instagram account!), so I'm definitely going to be using a lot of these suggestions.
Hey there! I just found this video because I was searching for ways to get my name out there. I self-published my debut novel not too long ago and my goal is to get my work out there. I need to master Twitter, I still have no clue how it works, but I’ll get there! Thanks :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I've been wondering which social media platform to work on next, and somehow Facebook wasn't as appealing to me, so I've decided to start a Twitter!
I've literally never had any help on Twitter. I don't know about devoting time to when I should be A. Working. B. Writing. C. Spending time with family. In fact, I'm growing to hate Twitter. I joined for a community. I devote time to posts that are insightful, funny, or be communicative about my experiences. I get zero response. Another writer can post: dogs or cats? and receive thousands of responses.
Curious why the m.o. is giving tips to other writers? Shouldn't an author be growing a fallowing of those who will want to read their book not necessarily peers who may or may not care about your book?
15 original, informative/entertaining Tweets per day? Also, we should be on Instagram and Facebook? - and with different, distinctive content for each platform? I'll have to give up my day-job and stop writing to keep up with this!
