From the upcoming Black Labyrinth album.
A Shadow has fallen over the Goblin City. All who are touched by it begin to slow down until they stop moving at all. In time, they crumble and turn to dust. The effects of the Shadow have been felt beyond the Goblin Kingdom in perhaps more subtle ways. In an Elven tavern on the other side of the forest there hasn't been laughter or singing or merriment in a long time.
When our protagonist, oblivious of the Shadow, enters the tavern singing and laughing and playing his flute he elicits the ire of the depressed Elf and Orc patrons who have already fallen, unbeknownst to themsevles, under the spell of the Shadow. However, he gets the attention of the tavern proprietor, an Elf woman who is intrigued by this merry stranger.
When he leaves (at the behest of an angry Orc who does NOT want to do "Karaoke") he leaves an item behind that leads the tavern owner to believe he's a prince who has come to be their new Goblin King and restore peace to the land. When she goes outside to return the item, she sees a leaf growing in the barren forest for the first time in forever and sees it as a sign. She sings this song about him and her hope that he's the one.

I just discovered Mr.Voltaire. What an intelligent and silly goth hunk! Why are there not more men like this, who can spooky home make, and charm you with his wit? He's like a vampire version of Tony Danza, on "Who's the boss?"

i feel that this album is less about the book and more about how he feels about his past.
Of course! As is the book! Lol! They are both inspired by my journey from bullied teenage fan of David Bowie in the 80s, to adult fan mourning his death and being grateful for the inspiration he gave for decades.

Not trying to plug, but I think they would be right up your alley, plus I believe he's holding a gothic event in October that is in need of celebrities so maybe a guest appearance by Voltaire?
