Love your autumnal recipes Venetia ❤ Little update from me - I've always been inspired by your climate action and decided to make the journey last year to working in climate full time. After a year and a half of freelance projects and job applications I've just got my first full time climate job, helping environmental and social impact start ups grow their businesses! Keep doing what you're doing and keep inspiring people!
I am so glad that you are taking care of yourself! I feel you can be so harsh on yourself sometimes while you are trying to do so much for all kinds of good causes! I hope you can see this too, and that you are able to let go of this guilty feeling.

I heard so many individuals/activists shaming and guilt-tripping for resting which made me uncomfortable as someone who's bombarded by life hardships. This video was validating 🥺 💯 Approving the vlogmas, even if they are shorter in length! 🎄
we don't get closer to dismantling racial capitalism when we run ourselves to the ground. the beauty of the community and grassroots organising that i've been a part of is that the responsibility is shared, so when we need rest others can step in. unlike the "always on" nature of the internet, there is never any shame involved, just accountability - or as adrienne maree brown says "loving corrections"♥

I have a tip for you - maybe you already do this but after having a kobo for 4+ years I have only just started using its Pocket function - where you save articles and newsletters using the app/extension Pocket and they appear on your ebook! 🤯 I find I read much slower and more thoughtfully when not on my phone/ computer and am reading many more long articles etc because of this - my faves are Hayley Nahman's newsletter and on your reccomendation Shado mag articles. Anyway s
