  • V'Zot HaBerachah, (וְזֹאת הַבְּרָכָה‎) - is Hebrew for "and this is the blessing," the first words in the parashah. It is the 54th and final weekly Torah portion in the annual cycle of Torah reading covering Deuteronomy 33:1-34:12 and contains no new commandments of the 613 Torah commandments...
    In chapter 33, The parashah sets out the farewell blessings that Moses gave to each of the twelve tribes of Israel before his death. Although it echos Jacob's blessings to his twelve sons five generations earlier in Genesis 49, It is said that the blessings mentioned here by Moshe in this parasha are considerably greater than any of the blessings given earlier in the Torah, such as those given by Yitzhak and Yaakov..
    Chapter 34 then relates how Moses ascended Mount Nebo from whose summit he saw the Promised Land. "And Moses the servant of G-d died there in the Land of Moab by the mouth of G-d... and no man knows his burial place to this day." The Torah concludes by attesting that "There arose not a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom G-d knew face to face... and in all the mighty hand and the great awesome things which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel.“
    Immediately after concluding the Torah, we begin it anew by reading the first chapter of Genesis (the beginning of next Shabbat's Torah reading) describing G-d's creation of the world in six days and His ceasing work on the seventh--which He sanctified and blessed as a day of rest.

    Todah morah. I am so profoundly happy to have received these teachings, and I cannot wait to go back over them again. They have taught me so much. And they have showed me where I have failed and where I have succeeded and where I need much work to be pleasing to my father which is what I desperately wish to do. To honor him in my daily life.

    Thank you so much you lot!! I watch and listen to all you send out to us. I am a welsh woman, brought up as a Christian by grandparents who were raised at the early 20th century Welsh revival.. I doubt anyone has heard of this. My grandad was in a Welsh male voice choir. What an amazing noise!! When we were children we used to play around at the local school where the choir used to practice. We took it for granted but when I grew up and asked the Lord into my life well it was kind of natural. My grandad would sing hymns to me when I was a little girl, cuddled up on his lap. If anyone is interested look up Wales and the Christian revivals. There are loads of chapels called 'Zion' and "Bethlehem'. as opposed to the Church of England which was very catholic. Hail Mary etc. No. We loved the LORD. At my grandads funeral at the crematorium there were a bunch of his mates standing at the back singing. well. the whole family were in tears. Anyone there ever heard a Male Voice Choir?????? A Welsh one, Recommend you look one up!!!! They really loved the lord. My grandmother was actually on TV..Songs of Praise, a TV programme which was aired eery Sunday night from UK. w have a photo of her on TV singing at the chapel. This was in 1960s. Wales is indeed a blessed nation. Well. was ...... When I had my children I was not yet a believer but I named them Samuel and Rebecca. And they belong to the Lord. God bless this channel.

      It depends on the reason (as in rebellion)... as we are commanded to keep the day holy and to make it a commemoration through the retelling of the story (the Haggadah) to our children and so to not do that would be a sin but as far as other traditions that are added to that it would depend on the reason and state of one's heart. • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Год назад +1

      Shalom sister Elsie... Jacob’s blessings as recorded in Deuteronomy 33: v. 17:
      “His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh “.
      This is Jacob’s prophetic blessing of the sons of Joseph, in which he likens the tribe to an Ox and a Unicorn. This seems a far cry from a horse-like creature with a twisted horn, but remember that one of the sins of the Israelites in the Wilderness was to set themselves up a Golden Calf to worship, thus proving that they had a special reverence for an Ox or Bull. The twisted horn of the Unicorn could be the two horns of the Bull, which can be imagined in profile, “pushing the people together to the ends of the earth”. This is precisely what the Tribes of Israel did after their escape from their captivities, for in their outward spread from the Caucasus, they pushed the indigenous tribes out of the territories which they entered. Another symbol of Joseph was a horn, so we can see how the symbols have combined to give the fabled Unicorn. From a study of the history of Israel as told in the Old Testament we discover that the symbols had become typical of the Northern and Southern houses of Israel after Solomon’s death, when they had split into two Kingdoms. The emblem of the Southern House of Judah was a Lion and that of the Northern House, which went into Assyrian captivity before the Southern House, was that of the Unicorn. Interestingly, even the heathen prophet, Bilaam, under the direction of YHVH, refers to the two Kingdoms separately under their emblems of a Lion and a Unicorn in Number 23:22-24 and Numbers 24:8-9. This may be due to the fact that like the mythological creature of the unicorn which most likely once existed but then faded into fable over time as it was “lost” sight of by the world, so too did the Northern tribes of Israel become lost to the world as to their existence, and referred to as the “Lost tribes”, and what happened to them only kept alive in the stories of seeming fable as seen in the allegories written by the Brothers Grimm. Hope this helps! Many blessings to you in your continued studies and spiritual growth!

      We studied this recently in Torah portion Noach, the "mythical" creatures in the Bible. There are many creatures that are deemed mythical but found and spoken about as if they wasn't in the word. We read about a dragon in Job that sparks and smoke comes from his nostrils. We also read of the half man half goat satyrs in Isaiah 13:21 KJV. A unicorn is also found in Job 39:9-12, Isaiah 34:7 and many other scriptures. Maybe not so mythical according to the word of Yah?

    Question here on the term usage of concept, "ever" , a commandment for the eternal Kingdom.
    Leviticus 23:41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
    /
    So, Is tabernacles is here in this present word fulfilled at a future point, is it a feast then also to be experienced in the eternal kingdom?
    If so would seem that only a modified version perhaps, as the certain aspects we wait for now, are completed as the current shadow picture it stands for here.
    Will YHVH remove the standing Feast from needing to be performed in his Kingdom, as it no longer stands for an future event, as it has been accomplished.
    Shalom

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Год назад +1

      we are told by the prophets that the feast of Sukkot is to be celebrated now and will continue to be celebrated in the olam haba "kingdom to come" during the Messianic reign (Zech. 14). While all the feasts of Leviticus 23 point to different aspects of our Deliverance and Restoration in the plan of Salvation, the Spring Feasts were specifically to point as prophetic foreshadows of Messiah ben Yoseph (the suffering servant who prepares the way) and the Fall Feasts are prophetic foreshadows of Messiah ben David and the Coming Kingdom. All feasts weather pointing to something future or commemorating something past are continued to be observed now as well as in the coming kingdom as "a statute forever in all your generations". For more details on the different feasts please enjoy our RUclips playlist called "Holy Days and Feasts of the LORD" with 17 videos on the subject at ruclips.net/p/PLjwGJ03D1fXolWuI0YP9AzJ0ARqEpK-zM

    Question concerning book of jubilees. The book says that fasting on shabbath is sin. But did not prophets and Yeshua fast 40 days thus fasting on shabbaths and breaking that commandment? Or is there a explanation why it was ok for them to fast?
    Book of jubilees chapter 50
    12 hast been commanded. And every man who does any work thereon, or goes a journey, or tills (his) farm, whether in his house or any other place, and whoever lights a fire, or rides on any beast, or travels by ship on the sea, and whoever strikes or kills anything, or slaughters a beast or a bird, or 13 whoever catches an animal or a bird or a fish, or whoever fasts or makes war on the Sabbaths: The man who does any of these things on the Sabbath shall die, so that the children of Israel shall observe the Sabbaths according to the commandments regarding the Sabbaths of the land, as it is written in the tablets, which He gave into my hands that I should write out for thee the laws of the seasons, and the seasons according to the division of their days.

      Yes as the weekly Shabbat is the first of the feasts in Leviticus 23 and we are not fast except in the case of when God calls us to a long-term spiritual fast as in the case of Moshe and Yeshua in which one is connecting to the Source of Life with joy and awe. Conversely, most fasting in ancient times accompanied some sort of sullen morning as in the case of a death but we are instructed to make Shabbat an "oneg" delight and it is this kind of fasting that Jubilees is referring to (in the context of not being a part of death - i.e. violence, hunting, war, mourning). Hope this gives clarity to your very good question! Many blessings in your continued studies and Spiritual growth!

    That's a lot of guesswork about Simeon's lack of being mentioned. 12,000 of Simeon get sealed, topaz becomes the 9th foundation according another writing you preach from. The writings reveal that Dan is a young lion and yet this site raises up an image of an eagle????? 'The sages assumed' way too many ideas that were never the truth.

      Many times in scripture there are multiple prophetic symbols for the same individual. Take Yeshua for instance, referred to as a lamb, but also a lion... And although Jacob gave a symbolic prophecy of a snake concerning his son in Genesis 49:17, and Moshe gave the imagery of a young lion in Deut. 33:22 in his farewell blessing, in Numbers 2 the arrangement of the encampments in the Wilderness are given, and the numbers of the tribes and a different symbol given for not just the individual tribe of Dan on the North side of the camp, but the combination of the tribes of Dan, Asher and Naphtali and the eagle was the main badge for the brigade and was also used by Asher and Naphtali (numbering 157,600 in total at that time). Amazingly, in New Testament times, we find from the “Antiquities” of Josephus that the Lacedaemonians (Spartans) considered themselves descended from Israelites and were in fact from the tribe of Dan who were known to be great seafarers. They exchanged letters during the period of the Maccabees, and the letter from Sparta had a seal with an eagle and a serpent confirming this. (Remember even Deborah, after her victory over Sisera, reproached Dan for “abiding in ships” - Judges 5:17, when they should have been fighting with the other tribes, which points to the fact that the tribe was off at sea, and founding colonies elsewhere). There is always more to the story than most realize. Hope this helps.
