I always thought Timmy’s Secret Wish was a good episode and a solid choice for a series finale. Though I won’t lie, having Timmy keep Cosmo and Wanda forever kinda breaks what the first episodes of the series built up. That being kids will age and have to lose their godparents. However, him wishing for everyone not to age is probably the greatest explanation to a floating timeline ever!
Him wishing for everyone not to age is the best explanation for why they didn't age at all. Season 10 when he had to share cosmo and wanda with chloe it def didn't make sense and felt like they undid everything they were building rhe last 9 seasons
Im just gonna say this: my biggest beef with Timmy's secret wish was The way the fairy counsel and father time undid the wish, their was of fixing it was just as if not *WAY* worse then the wish itself. After wiping timmys mind of his fairies, father time un did the wish and moved time forward 50 yrs. But he did it in such a bad way, everyone noticed they were 5 decades older, everyone didnt understand the technology of their new present, betweem the wish and there had to have been millions of lives that got shortended by the "fix"
Not only that but 1. The godparents should've been choosing what wishes to grant 2. The history of bad/mean god kids showing cosmo and wanda might not be suited to the job 3. Shouldn't the secret wish have counted as a rule free wish?
It’s literally cosmo and Wanda’s fault that this even happened, they told Timmy about what happens when he gets older (he loses interest in fairies and they leave) they shouldn’t have told him they should’ve just let it happen naturally

People thought Channel Chasers was the grand finale, but no. Wish that a TRUE finale involves Timmy Turner facing the Fairy Council for wishing up disastrous wishes for good and bad intentions. This could be better than Timmy’s Secret Wish since it involves actual clips from past episodes and specials. The Fairy Council will soon understand that it was all because Timmy has lousy parents and an evil babysitter. Don’t know if it involves Timmy being banished or have him abandon his human life to be a fairy, but the latter would be a good idea.
the problem for that and all other American tv series is the fact that they are meant to last forever, so there is no charecter development, no plot progression. It is just the same thing over and over again. Which inevitably leads to flanderisation
One downfall moment would be from how they kept adding new characters that didn’t really help much with the storylines, then gradually gave up when they introduced Chloe Carmichael as Timmy’s new best friend/sharer of Cosmo and Wanda. Plus the live action movies with Drake Bell and the live action animated spin off didn’t help much at all.

This would have a been a good series finale, as Timmy's reasoning why he made the secret wish is what makes it good. Cosmo, Wanda & Poof are Timmy's real family.
