Southgate is not willing to drop Kane who’s not performing, and is reactive rather than proactive when making substitutions. We’ve gotten away with it so far, but as we start to face tougher teams, I’m not feeling confident.
Kane and Southgate are both the problems. Kane has a history of bottling: failed to score to make it 2-0 v Croatia in 2018, ghosted in 2021 final, failed to score the pen in 2022. They're both allergic to winning trophies.

The past few games England found themselves having only 10 minutes or so to quickly score because they were losing. That’s a risky way to play. Out of all the teams left in the competition I think that England have the strongest individual players, but as a collective Team it doesn’t look good.
