I interpret it as opposing views. Sometimes people can't meet in the middle, which would be a gray area, so "calling the black and white" would be an attempt to stop the negativity associated with an argument. It's like agreeing to disagree rather than tearing the relationship apart over an issue.

What the heck...I'm so confused. I had no idea they switched lead singers? I've only pretty recently discovered them and so I thought the guitarist here has always been the lead singer. But I've always freaking loved the voice of this guy singing this song.

hi! this reply might be super late but i wanted to clarify that the guy playing guiter (jeffery jordan) and the guy singing (spencer stewart) both do vocals for the band! jeffery definitely was lead vocals more during their earlier years with spencer doing a few songs here and there, but lately with their newer music, they’ve been pretty balanced in terms of who sings lead :)
