Hi Fred. Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate that. I'm no spring chicken myself 🤣and our audience covers all age brackets so we want to do our absolute best to make these episodes as easy as possible for all. Cheers!
Wonderful Video!! I bought the single roof design, and rewatched your video for each step. Great tips the instructions don't give. Especially helpful, bending the leg clips on base straight, the brackets easy to miss on crossbar you pointed out. Partially preassembling the roof main beams and lifting with help, different then instructions, but worked great with a few friends. I assembled the entire thing by myself except for the roof lift and I am past middle age :) Thanks for your video!! It was invaluable! - A few notes from my solo assembly, I have an L shaped back house and deck, so I was able to lean 2 wall assemblies against 2 walls. I bought the 10x12 model, and screwed the other longer free standing side into the deck, after raising and propping up with weighted ladders. Then I temporarily screwed the legs onto the deck all the way around while I assembled the rest. I used painter's tape to hold some parts on while I lined holes up. That was amazingly helpful! Especially for the end caps that hold the roof sheets on. I also used bungie cords on each corner for pressure as I struggled to line up all the layers of holes. Probably the hardest part for sure to do alone. Important note if you screw the legs down to get it upright, I would suggest unscrewing them for the rest of the assembly. I struggled for hours to get the holes lined up all the way around on the roof, but removing foot screws and allowing the whole frame to shift as needed was the key to finally getting it done. Also if you are too close to roof line to insert roof sheets, you can loosen a vertical support enough to slide in from the side. Using tape helped to keep the parts in place. Its a beautiful gazebo and I'm so excited. Thanks again for the video!

The Spirit’ed Gazeboers are back! Great tip using cups for all the hardware. My wife loves to buy stuff with hardware like that, and I can’t count the amount of screws and nuts I’ve lost🤣 This thing looks great with that gorgeous little deck
ROFL. Well, I don't think I saw us doing more than 1 gazebo episode but if the need is there from consumers and brands, we're happy to keep doing them. 🙂Thank you for watching and glad you liked the tip. I have lost many in between deck boards and in the grass as well on projects so it's certainly helpful. Cheers!
Just found your channel after buying a Yoleny. Will have to watch a few more times before the gazebo is delivered so I dont make any rookie mistakes. Keep up the good work!
Hi Thomas. Thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it and glad that this will be of some help to you. Did you purchase the same polycarbonate gazebo or their full metal one?
@@SpiritedWrenchers I actually bought the "ultra thick" faux wood 12x14 metal one, but unfortunately I am going to have to return it (and pay the return shipping and 20% restocking fee) because Yoleny doesnt have a phone number to change order after it was placed. I wanted to change it to the 12x16 and now I dont know what to do. Disappointing
Hi Melicamims. Thank you so much for watching and sharing that with us. We're very appreciative and honored to have helped in your build. We hope you have many enjoyable days underneath it. I know my parents still are. We have our 1 year update on it coming out soon. Cheers!
Hi Doug. Thank you so much for watching and sharing. We really appreciate it and we hope your assembly is a smooth one. Come back and give us an update if you can. Cheers!
HI Cobraspence. Thanks for watching and sharing the kind words. We appreciate it. Unfortunately I didn't have a size for that. I had various bits and just found one that fit the screws. Good luck with your assembly. Come back and let us know how it went for you. Cheers
Hi G2. Thank you very much for watching and sharing with us. We really appreciate it and thankful to have helped you with your gazebo. We hope you have many relaxing days under it. Cheers!
Nice addition, and building it on the deck is a great idea! Once the girls are old enough that they don't play on the trampoline any more, I have a spot already picked out for one of these!
Thanks for watching Evan. Ahhhh, the classic trampoline. Had one when the kids were young and then it turned into a yard space consumer. LOL. I was happy when it went just I could stop moving it to cut the grass. It certainly transforms any yard so we hope you get one.
Hi Marianne. Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. Good luck on the assembly. Ya'll got this!!! Come back and let us know how it went.
Lol. Thanks, Golden Retriever. That's funny, but it feels right. 🤣. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We appreciate it. We have another build next month of something similar yet different, so it should be fun.
Great video! I plan on assembling a stronger structured gazebo fastened to our deck also (tired of coming home to the Amazon specials flipping over). How did you fasten this one to your deck?
Hi David, thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. We're thankful to help in your build and we hope that it goes as smoothly as ours did. Come back and let us know your thoughts if you don't mind. Cheers!
I just purchased a gazebo just exactly like yours but a little bigger. Has yours held up well? Any issues? The polycarbonate roof concerns me but i wanted sunlight.
Thank you for this video! I have a question and concern though. What happens if one of those roof panels get damaged. Does Yoleny provide replacements? The phone number on their website is a dead-end and actually points to an insurance company. (Red Flag?) I'm worried that if any thing happens to this gazebo support might be nonexistent. And a Gazebo with missing or damages roof panels makes them entire thing useless. Any experience or feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. =)
HI Phyrex. Thanks for watching and sharing the kind words. We appreciate it. Yoleny has an email for their customer service. That is what they have recommended to me to ensure customers are reaching out to them through. I do not know about replacement panels so that will be best asked to them. If you run into a dead end, let me know and I will try my best to get an answer for you. They are a channel sponsor but we are limited with the support we can provide.
Great video and instructions. I bought one a day ago and was thinking, i should reinforce some of the beams because the snowload might destroy it. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions for adding more support?
Hi Gavin. Thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure if it will be needed considering the construction of the panels but we'll know soon enough. Lol. Ours is in IL so we'll be doing a follow up this winter showing the load bearing capacity of it. If we need more support, I may look at aluminum strips from a big box store. Hopefully it won't be needed. Hope this helps with the assembly of your gazebo.
Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. This deck was 12x16, and we had space left over to have a grill on the outside of the gazebo coverage. Yours should fit great and allow it to be centered and secured nicely. Cheers
Hey Guys, great video. Well explanatory. I bought one and am having heat under the gazebo. Just wondering if I installed the Roop panels upside-down. If I did is there a way to know?. Thanks.
Hi Hayman. Thanks for watching and sharing the kind words. We appreciate that. To your question, it is quite possible that you installed the panels upside down. If you check out timestamp 3:35, it shows the panels as having protective covering and it shows which side should be facing the sun. Hope that helps.
Hi Colt. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. The deck size is 12x16. We don't have a video on the build, but this was built at a family members house, and we could possibly get you a sketch of the dimensions and materials used if that would help.
@@coltseavers5183 Will do. Send us an email (our gmail is in the description) and I'll send you what I can. Funny that it's for your Mom, where we built this gazebo for my Mom & Dad. I'm sure she's going to love it!
Is there a way the roof can be completely assembled before putting the legs on in other words complete the whole of the Assembly of and then put the uprights on
Hi Mario. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it. To be honest, I'm not sure. We followed along the guide and so far with the 3 we have built, that is not logical. It also has quite a bit of weight that would need to be lifted in order to do that. Hope that helps. Take care and stay safe!
Thank you very much for watching and sharing. We're glad the video was helpful. We'll have to check our manual. For all of these that we have assembled, the screens were always on the inside. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
I'm pretty sure the manual is wrong. Because mine also shows screens on the outside but it doesn't make sense if they go on the outside because then the curtain ties would only be able to be used if the screen was also open, which kind of defeats the purpose. I still can't figure out the actual curtain ties though and which way they go. No tutorial I have found seems to show anyone tying it. 😢
@@MishlerFurramily Thank you for watching and contributing to the discussion. We really appreciate that. We agree in regards to the screens. Apologize for not showing the ties better. I'll if my parents can take a picture of how we tied theirs. If so, I'll message you back so we can exchange an email. Would that help?
I’m debating on buying the metal or plastic tops, both have advantages and disadvantages, metal last longer but too dark, the plastic has light come through but worried long term stability, how do you like yours? Can you please share some advice?
Hi Anna. Thank you for the watching and sharing. We really appreciate that. You pointed out two of the biggest differences outside of the cost and location of where you plan to have it, plus your particular weather. My parents love the this gazebo and the light that it allows through. We have the full metal one and it can get warm underneath it. This winter we'll be able to see how theirs does with the snow. We'll likely do a 6 month-year update video on it at that time.
I had my corrugated plastic roof gazebo for 12 or 13 years in the DC area. It survived our area snow and wind on the deck. Unfortunately, a freak microburst storm caused a few large limbs to crush it, otherwise it would've still been standing! I just replaced it with the same type gazebo, the new one has a vented roof (old one didn't). 🤞
Hi Crysteps. Thanks for watching. Your question is a pretty broad one and will be dependent on what you define as windy weather. This was assembled in IL and they had some pretty bad thunderstorms where their power was blown out several times. The gazebo has done just fine so far. Was it hurricane force winds, no. Hope that helps some.
Excellent video! Unfortunately, my gazebo came without an instruction booklet. I've searched everywhere on Amazon website and Google, but can't find a .pdf version. Would you happen to know where it can be found?
Hi Kristina. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We're sorry to hear that you didn't get the instruction manual. Yoleny has informed us that you can contact them through Amazon for any issues or questions. If you're unable to get a manual, let us know and we'll see what we can do to help.
this is a life saver, one issue i am having is one of the long sides is too close to a wall so i can't slide the large panels in. I dont know what to do. no room to slide the gazebo over
Hi Armen. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words, we really appreciate it. That's incredibly unfortunat. The only thing we could think of testing is the add the panels in a few steps earlier with the side rails. Not sure if that's possible but that's the only thing we could think of. Let us know if you were able to get it resolved.
I had the same problem and loosened one of the vertical side rails to allow enough for install. Worked great! Also I used painters tape to hold panels in place and rails.

@@thaniaugarte1261 hi Thania. Thank you for watching. Truthfully, we're not sure its possible considering how they are assembled. Wish we could give a different answer.
I've been researching and not yet able to find info telling life expectancy of PC roofing, expected weight bearing capacity ie snow or wind velocity sustainability...can you help?
Hi Bowhunter. Thanks for watching. We wish we could help with figured on those but unfortunately they were not provided. What I can share with you is that this was assembled in central IL. It handled their winter last year without any problems and it still looks great. Outside of that, there are quite a few variables when it comes to the wind and life expectancy dependent on where you live. Hope that helps you some. Cheers!
Hi Daryl, would you mind sending us an email with a picture to spiritedwrenchers@gmail.com? We did not have any issues accessing the roof hooks with the curtain and screens in place.
Hi Ras. Thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. These smaller gazebos have a small track along the top there where the roof panes slide into but they do not have a full gutter system like our 12x20 does. We're seeing the smaller gazebo's all are that way. Hope that helps. Cheers!

Hi Imran. Thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. This is out in a rural area so no permits were needed, however we have some friends that do require them in order to build them on their property. Best to contact your local permit office and inquire about these first. We would recommend for safety and security of your gazebo, the deck has footings. Hope that helps.
Hi DelusionalsBrownsFan (love the name by the way). Thanks for watching and sharing. Hopefully you were able to bend them back into place so you could finish the build. Cheers!
Hi Lizzie, thank you for watching and asking this. We find that most brands and styles of gazebos don't instruct on how to properly tie the curtains back. We would recommend that you work creatively, which we know, is not a very good answer. Try first to tie the screens to themselves, then to the curtains and posts altogether. Or tie the curtains to the screens, then altogether to the posts. We did find that working creatively allowed for a tighter wrap than gazebos that specify only one way to tie/wrap the curtains. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!
@@billyyong4711 Hi Billy. Thanks for watching and asking. Your question has so many variables that could impact the decision. We'll be doing a 1 year update on this gazebo in the next week or 2. That might help answer your question.
@@SpiritedWrenchers Subscribed. I am about to install this gazebo (arrives in 2 days). I appreciate all of the extra tips that I would have had to figure out on my own. Hi Michael. Thanks for watching and asking. We appreciate it. If I were in that position, I would buy the pre-made cement tube forms from Lowes. Dig the holes and put the forms, pour concrete and bolt the posts to those in the ground. It would be the same as a concrete pad. Hope that helps.

@@SpiritedWrenchers oh good. I'll kerp that in mind.too ..it looks like I would have to cut the panels to fit. But I know that's not correct...Maybe I should not tighten all thr bolts that are holding the roof pieces together??
Yes, keep the bolts loose until you have all the panels in. Then go back and tighten. You shouldn't have to cut anything. If something doesn't line up or slide in, go back, loosen or taken brackets off until you figure out what is off.
Hi Tracey. Thanks for watching. This is very challenging to troubleshoot without actually being there & putting it together ourselves. What we have found with our builds is if multiple holes don't line up, something in a previous step was either missed or placed incorrectly. We had to reverse steps to figure it out. If it were just one hole, then it might have been a manufacturing issue but for all of them, it's something with assembly. Wish we could help more.
@@SpiritedWrenchers thank you for responding so quickly. We are putting together a 10x10 and when we have all three pieces together we can only see half of the pre drilled hole on frame. It’s making it hard to put together. Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you for watching and asking. We do appreciate it. This is impossible to answer as what could be a lot of heat to one could be very minimal to someone else. Hello David, thanks for watching and commenting! We installed this gazebo in southern Illinois, which does see some severe wind, storms, and snow. Yoleny notes that the snow load on the roof is 2 inches on the double roof (as in our video here) and 3 inches on their single roof polycarbonate gazebos. We love that this roof design allows for some light to come through, but blocks all the UV rays making it noticeably cooler under the gazebo than out in the sun. Let us know if you have any other questions; take care and stay safe!
Because I’m using 10‘ L 3.9‘ W pallets heavy duty as my base I’m probably using 5/8 plywood as the floor I’m not a carpenter by no means if you can help me out appreciate it. Have a great day.
@garyrodriguez185 Hopefully my other answer helps. We would recommend having the width and length be a little wider than the gazebo so it's not at the edge of your platform.
Hi Wayne. Thanks for watching and sharing. We would agree that these could be a big pain in the back side and one that could have been designed differently. Certainly requires you to slow down and take your time or pay the cost for going too fast. Did you build one recently?
@@SpiritedWrenchers It was not exactly the same brand but much of it was identical. I was able to use a ball end "Allen" driver for some of the screws inside the legs. And to be fair, many of my roof panels had corners that were pretty dorked up. They were packaged pretty well but Federal Express probably wasn't as careful as necessary. I will say the tip about putting in the screws around the edges of the roof before going back and adding the corners or the joining brackets was VERY helpful. I hadn't thought of that and after watching your video the process was a much easier. Thank you. Now I have to decide whether or not it's worth it to request replacement panels for the damaged ones.

Hi Mason. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it!
I just purchased a gazebo just exactly like yours but a little bigger. Has yours held up well? Any issues? The polycarbonate roof concerns me but i wanted sunlight.
Thanks for watching. We just posted a 1 year update to this gazebo build: ruclips.net/video/IZz-khk2HtI/видео.html. Hope that helps.

It turned out beautiful! My question is, can I put one of the same size on a 12x17 wooden deck and do you think there won't be much uncovered space?😊
Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. This deck was 12x16, and we had space left over to have a grill on the outside of the gazebo coverage. Yours should fit great and allow it to be centered and secured nicely. Cheers
Perfect size for my back deck and you two are right, it looks incredibly easy to assemble. Beautiful final product. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. It really did turn out great and thankful to our channel sponsor, Yoleny.
Outstanding video! How big is the deck it's installed on and is their a video on building it?
Hi Colt. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it. The deck size is 12x16. We don't have a video on the build, but this was built at a family members house, and we could possibly get you a sketch of the dimensions and materials used if that would help.

Thanks for this video. It really was helpful. A nitpick: screens go outside as per the manual
how would this gazebo hold up in a windy weather?

Cheers!

Hi Imran. Thank you very much for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. This is out in a rural area so no permits were needed, however we have some friends that do require them in order to build them on their property. Same thing happened with mine. The tracks for the roof panels were bent right out of the box
Hi DelusionalsBrownsFan (love the name by the way). Thanks for watching and sharing. Hopefully you were able to bend them back into place so you could finish the build. Cheers!
How do we tie middle of curtains, mine has got 2 tie wraps so doesn’t look right
Hi Lizzie, thank you for watching and asking this.

The holes on my end caps don’t line up. What am I doing wrong?

Peter, this will depend on more variables than I can count. We share in this video how long it took us to assemble it with all the breaks we took.
how touch is polycarbonate roof panels I live in the northeast snow and rain storms and winds .
10:37 super pain in the ass. Design flaw in my opinion.
Thank you.
