I wish I had the shop to do stuff like this, incredibly jealous! I'd love to make a 6 cavity mold with 3 different bullet designs in it. You could make an assortment of rounds with every cast!
Are you just doing trial and error to get the cutter to the right size and shape to get the correct bullet grain? I cut down a .32 caliber rifle bullet mold so it would make lighter .32 acp bullets, but I had to cut little bits off at a time, cast bullets, weigh them, then cut some more to get from 100 grain bullets to 71 grain bullets. Making the entire mold that way would mean making a cutter, a mold, casting bullets, weighing them, then scrapping everything to start over if it's off wouldn't it?
No you're doing it wrong. Very simple you take the original bullet you cut it down to where you want it and you weight it if you screw up no big in fact before I made changes to mold I could modify several bullets and see how they shoot easily done on a lathe and it also helps if you have collet chuck 6 jaw chuck leaves a lot less marks on the bullet. Than you can use milling machine or even lathe with 4 jaw chuck to but down that's how I did my first one before I got milling machine.
nice, how much might a custom die of 4-6 bullets cost? I'm looking for one for 160-180 grain 308 diameter for 30-30, 308 and 300 win mag, also a custom mold for 338 win mag also
I love how the molds look. How much for a pair of 6 cavity (to fit Lee 6 cavity mold handles) 180gr. Wadcutter 40S&W grooveless molds. I powder coat right now but might try MCC looks simpler and faster. Can pre pay via PayPal, ppm me with cost and lead time.
Here's a question for you. Why would you go through all the trouble of making a mold that you can buy for $25? I mean you did a really good job but I think I'd rather spend the time casting bullets or reloading.
If you saw his sprue plate you would realize it's for automatic casting machine. You can't just buy a bold for $25 for it. Also the aluminum that cheap Lee uses is not as good as better molds like NOE uses.
More than that...the molds looks absolutely fantastic in reality...I'll try to make an video this week to show them at work.
Not only beautiful work but an entertaining and well made video as well! Thumbs up!

That is a good bullet design. But, what of lubricant grooves?

Excellent work! I would love a two-cavity set of these in .355 147gr RN :)

Do you have website? Price mold 5.52mm?
How is your bullet lubricated with no grease grooves ?
thats what i was thinking

I think the bullet is intended to be powder coated
I like to buy a mold... how can I get a mold
How do we order from him ,I'd like a set of moulds from you.?

Um, they dont make it in the shape he wants. For example, they make a 2R mold for 9mm but why not the same shape in .401?
bf20 vario gell?!
Sehr schöne Arbeit!
I would like to order a set of molds from you... let me know what information you need from me and cost of course.
