Three questions: 1) How much did/does it cost to build your puller? 2) Do you use a stock JD frame or have yours custom made from someone 3) What kind of engine are you guys running?
1) I was just at the NFMS pull this past weekend and I was told it takes about $120,000 to build a competitive super farm tractor by owner of "Top Priority". 2) Being a pro stock tractor it's probably a component chassis. 3) The engine was probably made at Riverside Engines in Tiffin, Ohio and is either a John Deere block or a John Deere style block. Not trying to be a know it all just saw that you put it up five months ago with no reply and wanted to try and answer your question.
No problem.. I find tractor pulling interesting and had/have an uncle and his father that pull. Always wanted to know more about it and I would rather have someone who has been in it and knows about it answer my question than someone who spouts off info
So when will we get to see the new skin on that prostock ??? Also will you guys hook it with BSTP and few other PPL and NTPA events let us know since we are big fans of the fuelish pleasure
Dear Andy@ ATF Performance, Do you think I could purchase a carhartt coat from you guys with the ATF Performance and other logos embroidered into it like the one in this video? They look super cool and i would love to have one, who knows, maybe i can put in a good word for you guys here in Missouri lol! Thanks, Jason
+offroad idiot The injection timing advance is too important to allow a smooth idle. A typical sign too, is the smoke's color : It's grey,or white/grey : that mean too much advance for the rpm it's working at. those engines are tuned for high rpm, that's why they can't idle properly.
Monel Funkawitz That sound like a proper explanation of this looping- idle on hard tuned diesels. I have heard it both on videos and live and also whonderd about it. How low comp are we talking about on a engine like this? They really seem to be hard to run on idle needing ether like that.
Yes hope to hit all of BSTP a few PPL and a few NTPA! Tin will be on next week! We also are huge fans of Fuelish pleasure hope this season goes good for all!
Kujivs they spray ether to fire them up because the compression ratio is low. Some of my pullers run 10.5:1 comp ratio and 125lb boost. They are impossible to start at 80 degrees outside cold block let alone in the winter.
What ever size is in the vid is about my size (i believe large or XL) whichever it is please, and how much will it be and sure ill PM you my info upon request, Thanks, Jason
Dave Crombie Lol, not with snow on the ground. Remember, these guys run compression as low as 12.5:1. They are ether babies when it is 80 outside, let alone 10. This isnt a stock engine. Stock block, yes, but not much else.

Thats a heavy duty starter, to crank like that👍
that is a sexy piece of tractor ya got there. oh how I wish they weren't so damn expensive.
i like that cold loping sound of the motor !!
elviss13 that’s a radical cam not just the cold start they do it when it’s hot aswell
Samuel Wray most of it is actually just how much fuel this thing is flowing.
Yes sir absolutely. What size do u want? I'll get your information when we have our next prefer ready
I've always wondered how fast they can go without the sled.
80 or 90
@@BollweevilPullingTeam 800 or 900
@@cs-gj3yf all depends on what you got for a motor
when they turn 8k rpm i dont think 80-90 is close lol
@@cs-gj3yf yea we have 7 pulling tractors

You know I don't remember how much they are I'm gonna say around 80-100 but they may be less I just don't recall I can let you know asap
How warm do you have to get it before you turn the fuel on?

i have a question that bothers me for a long time, why do tractorpulling tractors idle so uneven?
+offroad idiot a lot of fuel pouring into each cylinder
+sam pepper Then my toughts were correct lop

Because of low compression . The boost will later on build up cylinder pressure . That's also why it's gurly during cold start .
