I've never been to Anza Borrego but I will definitely make an effort to spend a night out there while visiting my daughter in San Diego. It looks incredible. That sunrise was epic!
You sure do make wonderful videos. The time and care you take to edit, join, select, and add music, and the pleasant pacing of it all makes for a really lovely viewing experience. Thank you!!
I never thought of the powder peanut butter on the oatmeal. Great idea. Thanks. Great little trip. That sunrise. Saw one like that in AZ. Our entire rig was pink red on the interior. Fabulous
Another amazing video. Your photography and editing and sound just keep getting better. You talked briefly about your duvet getting twisted and it reminded me of an earlier video of yours where people talked about the intricate, complicated ways they get the bottom sheet to stay on. As Pleasure-Way newbies I just thought it all looked like too much work so I thought I’d share our solution. We bought a king size mattress topper that we put in a king size duvet cover. We use that as our bottom sheet. No tucking, no stretching. We keep all our bedding in the rear overhead compartment. Once we’ve turned the sofa into a bed we pull out the king size duvet and spread it out. It literally takes a minute. Also in that compartment is our queen size duvet we use on top, and our pillows. It all fits. We started out putting everything in compression sacks but found it was unnecessary. Making the entire bed at night and putting it away in the morning is no more than a five minute job. Bonus: That fibrefill mattress topper on the bottom makes the bed extra comfy. So glad you both have your shots.
That’s a really good idea. In order to save space, we just use 2 fitted sheets. Not as comfy as your solution but it works. But you have given me an idea. May try something new.
I can't even imagine how amazing it must be to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. I don't want to even think how long they take to get up here to Alaska! That moon shade was simple to set up. Just based on the looks we never considered them because they look like they would be giant wind sails. Neat to hear it is the opposite.
Compared to an awning they are much better. John just went up to the ferry website and they are offering two sailings per week from Bellingham to Alaska. Has us 🤔.
@@FromShetoMe Interesting....Hard decision. I will say the the only reservation I would have is regarding the locals. Last summer they were out in masses. Way more than I have ever seen. Campgrounds and boondocking sites were more full than ever and we had barely any out of state tourists. If it is like that again, but with the addition of some more tourists it may be a pretty full place up here this summer.
You have come a long way with your video photography. I've watched you from your beginning and enjoyed every moment. This particular video is spectacular wit the side views, panning and golden hour shots. Wonderful work!!
Thanks. If you only knew the trouble I had with the edit. Thought I had it all fixed and then when I watched this morning I cringed. But there is always another opportunity down the road.
The flo of the video from start to finish was excellent. The Palm trees look sad-hope they can be revived🌴. The sky was amazingly beautiful. The fire 🔥 starter looked different than what I thought it would, thanks for actually showing it and where to ourchase it.. Always fun to watch your videos and John adds that special touch of humor-latte alá John.
Can't wait to go to Anza Borrego ourselves! If I would take a guess, that brilliant sunrise was on Feb 15 Monday morning. I took some beautiful photos too.
Based on the wonderful outdoor sculptures in this video, we suggest that if you ever travel to South Dakota, you should try to visit the Porter Sculpture Park in Montrose, SD. It's great fun.
I love watching your videos it’s so calming just got our first van kids about to all leave 45 and really just want to enjoy each other and travel like you both … ps do you live around Santa Monica ?
Wow. Your videos are amazing. Great use of multiple cameras, the drone. What a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed the bike ride - when we visited Anzo Barrego we did not have fat tire bikes to explore like you did. Next time.
My brother has a house in Borrego Springs. They stay there until it gets too hot, then off to Washington state. Borrego is very pleasant in the fall, winter and spring, however a long way to Costco. Try Agua Caliente for camping. They have a hot springs pool house and nice campground. Use to go there every year when we lived in Vista and Fallbrook. As a side note, we getting avocados, make sure the stems were cut and not pulled off the tree. They ripen funny if pulled off.
Hey Debbie🙋🏽♀️ Glad you’re back. I know you’ve been busy with projects. Wow, that sunrise🙌🏽🙌🏽😍 I really enjoy your videos. Can’t wait to get out there! It’s coffee time. I think I’ll try Johns latte🤣🤪
I love your channel. Can you tell me what episode it was that you baked raisin bread in your bread maker in the van. I want to show my husband. It looked delicious. Do you still use your bread machine?
It was our Death Valley trip: ruclips.net/video/BVG0PBpH5TY/видео.html Before every trip, I evaluate the weather and where we are going and then decide what equipment to take. I was just thinking about our coming summer and I think I will take it. I really like making jam in it and want to experiment more with things like casseroles by removing the paddle. Of course it does require a bit of guess work as you can’t adjust cook time. A newer model is available and it might do that. We love the raisin bread in it but it is a dense loaf so if you want a lighter texture, That will probably take some more experimenting. Also, bumpy roads may not be advised during the rise period.
We are pretty well matched for speed. I walk fast and he walks at a normal pace. On the bikes, he uses a lower assist setting so it all works and indeed, we do enjoy the exercise.
Loved the sunrise, thanks for getting up early to capture it for us! Did you mount your camera to the side of your bike, those where amazing shots! I’m going to try John’s trick to making a latte. Safe travels!
So I am not sure about the old refrigerator, but I assume that a 2-way fridge would have worked on the electric hook-up site, without the propane problem.
If the top sheet and blanket were all over the place when you woke up my grandmother would say that you were wrestling with angels. Also did you know that little birthday candles make great fire starters as well corn chips? As always great video.
LOL. I guess the angels are winning that battle. Great way to use left over birthday candles. Especially since we don’t have birthdays anymore. And corn chips? Who knew? Thanks
Hi Debbie, finally we picked up our PW Ascent and made our maiden voyage last weekend. Everything was perfect! I asked you in one of your early video posts about Blackstone 17 inch griddle. I got one with rear grease bucket. It turns out it is just an inch too big. I wonder how do you fit in yours, is the one with front grease configuration a little smaller and fitting better? The other option is to store behind the driver seat. Any suggestions? Appreciate you taking the time to help. As always, I have always enjoyed your video and learned a ton from you. Thanks, NJ
There is a decorative cover on the batteries that is unnecessary. It is held on with a couple of magnets. Just remove and store it. PW says it is fine to remove it. Let me know if that doesn’t take care of the problem.
Question? I noticed you used your Moon Shade rather than your awning. Just wondering why, as my fiammi awning is shot on my 2005 pleasureway. I’m considering replacing my awning with the Moon Shade. Wondering what you think of this idea?
The RV people no longer have the arms that come back and secure to the rig. They are armless so they retract with the slightest breeze. Also, the placement is quite high so you get less shade depending on the sun's direction. The Moon Shade will withstand higher winds and sits lower and so more shade. I'm also thinking of getting some super lightweight fabric that we can clip to the edge to get even more shade when needed. The downside to the moon shade is the rear anchor point. You can anchor it on the car and only open the door part way, or if you want the door to be completely open, you can anchor on the door but then have to move it when you want to close the door. One other thing I like about it is that because it sits lower, you get more privacy from a neighboring campsite when you are in the kitchen area.
Are the tires on your bicycles the original ones or did you change them? Seems like they travel over all types of terrain and no flat tires. Great video...enjoyed it.
Hi Lynn...this is Mrs Lowrider and is that your garbage bag hanging off the spare tire? If so have you been p,eased with that manufacture? Is the bag on your Amazon list? Happy travels good to see you out and about again...
Amazing sunrise! Is that what they call a buttermilk sky! My boyfriend says that Doritos make the best fire starter, because they have so much grease in them.
DEBBY& John, nice scenery, just heard from the RUSSOS WTR, they were saying many BLM lands are not open due to scum, whom leaves GARBAGE BEHIND so the good suffers for the BAD I would check if you can BEFORE I go today for a checkup, on my RIGHT EYE as said I wear readers +2.5, just lost my wife , 55 years married, pneumonia. @@FromShetoMe You would never guess. It looked amazing! Really loved the bike shots as well. Made May and I want to get a couple for Thailand.

Eggs cartons work great too for starting fires. We save them up in the winter.
Good idea.
Whew. Lotta desert and high desert out west. Magnificent, but very different from a KY raised boys experience.

Not originals. 4” knobby tires. Mine came with smooth tires and new ones come with 3” now.

No.

What is the gas price situation in Cali? Sales tax?
Saw a station today that was $3.79. OC sales tax is 7.75% I don’t mind paying more as our roads are being improved.
It keeps going up. Cheapest diesel I found yesterday was $4.09.
