What a wonderful message from a Bible verse, it truly touches my heart with a captivating melody, can't explain as if I was choking and cried.... Congratulations ACS!...
Thank you, Von de Guzman, for this sobering multi-textural work. The melodic ideas are through-composed and stem directly from the text's litany of contrasting images. The overall tone of the music is sobering, open, yet unifying. Bravo to the artistic team and to Jett Galindo's clear-headed image of choral sound and character. Thank you, ACS, for singing this new work and bringing to our collective consciousness the possibilities of making music, of being dogged with hope, of being relentless in our dream of wholeness and healing in this season of unrelenting sickness and death. It is perhaps because of my dishearted spirit that I would have wanted to see an ending that was more suffused with light at the word peace, more lingering, more assuring, more certain than this death that knocks at our door. The images left me with a sense of half-closure, an elusive dream of peace, rather the full restoration of an eternal shalom. I will likely smile at these comments many years from now and say it was all a bad dream, but a nightmare that brought humanity to its senses and to its knees. May our songs bring truth and light to our days.
Indah sekali..saya merasa terberkati dengan lagu-lagu ACS, terimakasih, happy anniversary..GBU
