Dear PS, Like the person in your comments section named Vladimir Pereira a small brown/purple bruise became evident in the RH corner of my Oppo android device. It was followed by vertical bleed lines intermittently appearing and has now become a vertical black cancer taking up almost 1/3 of the screen with colour streaks, so I find it almost impossible to log into my device and am unable to use any touch windows under that part of the screen. Also my log in password process is wigging out!
My question is (other than going through the process described in this highly informative video tutorial): is there any way that I can transfer my data from the the damaged phone to my newly acquired Oppo?
I've tried using "clone phone" and a usb cable but, as I cannot access apps or data from the damaged phone, I've been unsuccessful. ????

Thanks for comment. If you buy or had new phone. First startup after you done selecting language in one pags they asked for, setup as new device or brkng your old data. You chose bfing data from another phone ad. Connect to same wifi both of your phone and select transfer over wifi. Then follow the steps on new phone and chose what app a d data gou want to move to new phone. Its easy.
I don't think you can move data from games
This thing happened to me on 2nd September as a tiny purple bruise on the bottom right, my phone has not suffered from water damage or a terrible fall, I suspect that the person who repaired my faulty USB port on the 20th of August used too much heat gun to disassemble the back of my phone (he did remove thr back of my phone 3x and used heat gun each time)
From the point of my view i can tell you the screen specially OLED type quite heat resistant as we use heat plate to replace broken glass of screen. In other hand your phone body designed to observe heat so if you mean the heat maybe is the reason that i think not much but if he handles without care yes maybe. Hope can give you some tips.

My friend, You need be attention the quality of your new screen is what type. as i mentioned the OLED type screen is expensive and many shops try to sell after market LCD type not OLED. I think you change it to copy LCD screen where they much thicker than OLED screen and its looks like not fitted well.

Mostly the repair shop will let you know as your request. But in some cases if your phone originally own the OLED screen and replaced by LCD the Brightness level will not works as usual. Also the smoothness and touch sensitivity is different.

What's the best use we can do with the purpose screen phone? I mean they can't even replaceable, 50% charge for the screen replacement not a good option. What's should I do with my phone then? It's in great condition. Only the issue is the screen
You can go for after market screen. Sime is good and worthy.

My kid's phone phone turned purple similar to what was seen in the beginning of this video after being dropped. Then more purple, then dark blue and now complete black. No cracks in the screen though.Trying to find out if I can save it.
No way to Save old screen. the crack is inside the screen cant see well from outside . so only way to replace new screen and all is good. Good luck

Dead pixel you mean Black pixels is different than purple one . dead pixels due the use of phone appears and not related to drop or heat .

Yes, actually depending of the angle, as the Tab more heavy than phone so its possible.

Hey man, something like this is happening with my screen. When I leave my phone every night while sleeping I wake up to a small stain right below the front camera, and it goes away after a couple hours of me using the phone again. I've tried leaving my phone turned off, turned on, vertically, horizontally, with full charge, with 20% battery and it just keeps happening. I've had this phone just for over 4 months and it's fallen only a couple of times so I don't know what happened. It's been like this for like a week now. Is there any solution other than changing the screen?

It's a Poco X3 Pro with IPS Screen. And I actually think the guarantee was only for a month :(

It's been months since this comment was posted but for the sake of others finding themselves in this situation, they do not need to delete your data.
I've had my phone's touch screen replace once before and it really is just as simple as them placing in a new touch screen.
At most they'll ask you to disable your lock screen so they can enter the Settings Menu and use Android's built-in color test to see if the new screen works fine.

What ever make it to break can make this issue. either over weigh onit or out in pocket and sit on it . Oled screens suoer sensitive . thats why all flagship phones move from Hard Oled to Soft oled . where you can see on samsung Curved screens or eother foldable . those still sensitive but not in pressure . i mean more durable .

This is difficult to said its damaged or not. it better to bring to your nearest service center to check. if you bought less than 3 weeks its mostly can claim free. but in my opinion Image retention is a problem often associated with LCDs. This happens because the crystal which gets into a particular position for the light to go through stays in that same spot without falling back into its original position. This leads to some parts of the image being left on the screen. This is, however, a temporary problem. The crystal will eventually twist back into the position when current is applied to it again.

It happened with me too my realme gt master edition i have never dropped it ever since i got it i don't know how it happened i got it repaired a year ago bcuz its volume down button became hard .
on 14 july i saw a purple spot or bottom left corner of the screen and in 2 days it spead on half of my screen i used that phone for genshin for 2 weeks in the end its screen became black there was no purple blue colour left it was like its brightness became -100 i could barely see it in night

Idk how it happened my guess is that its bcuz of overheat i used to play alot of games
In summers my phone temperature used to be 34c normal and while i was gaming it temperature used to rise to 46c .
i used to put my phone on a wet cloth for 2 mins to cool it down and it decreases my phone temperature back to 36
Also when i downloaded heavy games on it over heated alot its temperature used to rise up to 48 or 50c then i turned my phone off to let it cool down and then continue the downloading
I am gonna have its lcd replaced today from now on i won't repeat same mistakes i will buy a phone cooler for gaming so it won't heat up like crazy :(

sorry to hear that . yes actually the way you try to cool it down is not idle and also bring tempreture from high to low suddenly will make the screen or other components shock . the best way is to gove time to your phone cool down by itself , we have customer put it in fridge 🙄.. and screen cracked from inside ... its almost same . buy cooler or special design cases for gaming that can handle the heat out . if im not mistake the back cover of Gt series is plastic like so controlling heat over plastic not very well than Glass .. if you looking gaming phone is better to buy Rog series or atleast woth glass bwck cover not plastic . Ever since december 26th 2022, the moment i woke up and saw my phone, it was bleeding purple, it was a small patch back then, but now it has spread significantly, like almost 30% of the screen is filled with this purple fluid. Hope i get a job next week so i can save up for a downpayment for an A73 5G phone.
I am still using the phone, it works like normal except for the eyesore of this screen fluid. This just happened randomly too which is fucking annoying.

Quick question, so my k20 pro fell and it created a small purple dot at the edge of my screen and after that day when i woke up at morning my screen was fully bluish color and after a few hour some black colour thing was slowly spreading in the screen like a venom and now its fully black but yet it is working perfectly fine just you cant see anything. I would suggest to buy a new phone if you're going to put an unofficial screen because then your phone is not good for gaming and even in daily usage trust me bro it is not worth it. My screen has a tiny purple/pink corner since I woke up this morning but my screen isn't cracked or broken. Do you think having a disposable nicotine vape sitting on the screen or close to the screen overnight could have caused it? It doesn't look like its spreading.

What ever on screen appear like dots or changing colors means need to replace new screen. No way to fix.
if i changed the screen protecter is this still there the purple thing couse its been like this since yesterday
Purple screen doesn't relate to screen protector. Means even you change the screen protector will still same.

Yes you can, but you wont get same Brightness and smooth touch . Also the dim screen will not working proper.

Hey, so my screen problem started as a small black line, and it's now 2x the original size, and now it has created dead pixels.But now, it has stopped growing completely, do you think I should still repair it, or is it still useable?And it happened by itself, I don't remember dropping it, or spilling water, etc.

Thanks for your reply however unfortunately it's not as simple as you claim. I unsuccessfully followed the instructions upon start up (which asked me to use the clone phone app - which due to my damaged screen, is impossible). Now I am unable to get back to that start up program (trying to follow your instructions) and am also having difficulty understanding your it terminology, e.g., brkng & bfing?
