And here’s me been watching yours for months! Haha welcome mate. If you find yourself popping into Orlando at some point let me know and we’ll go for a flight! Would be a great collab!
My best trips as a new aviator were picking up planes with my CFI! Vern and I went to Kokomo, IN (1970 Piper Cherokee 180) and Dayton, OH (2006 Cirrus SR20 G2, my current whip!) Good times checking out the FBO's. My favorite is in Lexington, KY! Maybe next year we go Weast!
Hey Lew Dix Aviation, met the infamous Rodge today at Welshpool airport in mid Wales (UK) today in the also as famous N3D. Asked about your funny sidekick, Rodge immediately said "you mean otto"!!! Lol. I meant the other sidekick Gareth.....the young lad then said "thats my Dad"....... Great to see them visiting my local field. Great fella......he didnt do your Welcome to the sky on departure tho!! Needs more encouragement.
Awesome stuff, I did my flying training in Piper Warrior's in the Chicago area so that skyline view was something I got to see quite often ... and every time I was in awe of how lucky I was. Good to hear another Northerner ... Blackpool lad here :)
Garreth's FIRST landing in 03D was on runway 1. pretty damn cool. Poor Roger, but man, you guys had a freaking blast. i would love to do something like that.
Ayyyy! Seems like you guys are having fun. Haha the 123.45 banter, we use the same frequency for air to air chatting in aus. Can't wait to do some of these longer flights of my own, just that I'll do it in Australia so when I come around to vlog it all sorts of fun wildlife (flies) will be around. Nothing like picking up a new plane, nice Archer there.
Gave me a chance to read all about the Flying Club, its Independent Flight Instructors and growing fleet of planes. I think you made a smart move breaking ties with the former Flight School. Lewis !! Good Luck Guys !!!
Bruce Malo thanks Bruce. Yea having seen how flight schools operate I came to the conclusion that I don’t want to be part of one. I’m happier, teaching better and making more money now so it’s worked out
Just curious. Was there a GoPro mount on the ceiling right behind you there already or did you put one there for the trip. I would love to mount a GoPro in that location in some of the planes I rent but, 1. the trim is old and cracking, and 2. I don’t think the school will like it. It seems like you mount a lot of cameras in planes that you don’t own. Any tips. (I hope this is not one of your trade secrets you can’t share. Lol). Always enjoy the videos. Thx
Another great video dude! they are always so interesting and love the funny moments you throw in like at the start :D Love these more vloggy style whole day videos
Steve g Welcome to the channel mate! I’m very pleased that you subscribed and like the videos.. I’ve been uploading videos for a while and the channel is growing slowly but surely.. Thanks for your support
Hey Lewis, another fantastic video. Enjoyed the journey! Question: I typically land my Warrior II with flaps 2, do you prefer flaps 3 or 2 for your typical landing profile? Many thanks, hope to catch you at an FBO sometime soon!
Joey Meyers Hey Joey.. Unless it’s gusting I always land with flaps 3. I feel it keeps me from floating too much down the runway because I can keep the plane slowed down on final
This may have already been mentioned but 123.45 is not for air to air communications. It is for flight testing. 122.75 is for air to air communications.
I'm confused. Are they a couple? During the first video featuring Gareth, he mentions calling his "wife" if I am hearing it correctly. ruclips.net/video/tBXUoAFHkZE/видео.htmlm13s
One thing that bothers me (as a non pilot myself) is that "cross country" has come to have a very loose definition of 50 nm. Cross country should be something that actually covers some ground (so to speak), and going long distance, similar to this video. This is true cross country
Jan Some people just like to get their anger across from behind the keyboard then take the high road.... Luckily this persons high was in fact “across the country”
Here’s me somehow only just discovering your channel. Fantastic work sir, laughed so hard at this video! 🤟🤟

@@noelphilips oooh sounds intriguing! Let me know and we’ll make something happen! I’ll look forward to that
@@noelphilips Welcome to the collab everybody.
Archer, Smarcher. ATC will almost always say "Cherokee" for any fixed gear PA28 :)
Awesome video, laughed so many times. Nice seeing y'all have a good time!
I love that he had o back up just a little so the door didn't hit him lol 16:45
Love the banter, great vlog keep them coming.

Nah, he’s lovely really.
I’ll do my best next time Keith. We’ll be back for sure!. Welshpool is in a very scenic location with a great little cafe. It was good to meet you!

Real funny. Was there an autopilot on the plane? If not, I couldn't imagine hand flying that far! I loved the "is that the FBO...yup"
Sal Taglireno there is an auto pilot yea! Haha yea the FBO was interesting to say the least
Turn "weast" heading 2790 degrees.

BEAUTIFUL AIRPLANE. Wishing you much success with the new bird. Really enjoyed the video. Who wants waffles?
Great vid! I believe I looked at this plane on TAP or something. The font of the tail # is unique and looks familiar.
Omg you guys are so funny I just love this channel I think I welcome a Patron 😂
Haha thank you sir! I would welcome a new Patron!
Aha. Best one yet my bru :) how smug was Gareth on that last landing? Haha. Looked great.
I did my very first landing at Lebanon! In an Archer as well.
Did you see premier 1 driver @ Indy!

Ah Meigs field, The default airport of the flightsim that set off my obsession with aviation.
16:11 i thought they were going straight into the back of that car

Greg Ellis well we flight tested it and it worked 😉
That couldn't have been more British if you'd tried! Well, apart from it being in America, that is.
Top video, once again :)
Nick T Cheers Nick! Glad you enjoyed it!
I thought it was Rob Bat Battinson for a second
Your videos are hilarious!
Hi could you please check with gareth for me what does he use to hold his ipad to the windshield on 13.00 min? that whould be amazing.. thank you!
M54 is my base. My guy! Doing my solo friday in the high performance 150M. Btw, it's pronounced Lebn'n lol
so that is why Gareth's channel is zero three delta...
Nice song at 1:19 little nod to MzeroA maybeeee?
Lewdix i have always wonder why arent you a commercial pilot? you are really good doing what you like...Flying!!
Jose Ruben Varela I’m building my hours to get a job with an airline! Hopefully in the next year
Its cause his jokes still need some refinement, literally only reason
My whole resume is a joke so think you're wrong ;)
Comedy genius and the flying wasn't to bad either.
Byron Martin Aviation haha thanks mate! Glad you got some laughs

The 140 dance isnt that because the trim is on the roof

In a 140 the trim is above your head
Thomas correct!
4:48 LOL
What’s the song that starts at 1:08
The song is Newsroom By Riot and here's a RUclips link to it: ruclips.net/video/dSw3JKLqy30/видео.html
There’s another plane getting ruined by corrosion by moving it to Florida…..
It’s in England now 👀
This guy looks 70 years old -
140 dance, due to the trim being up above the head.
ccubsfan94 indeed!
wisconsin to FL is not "across the country"
JanitorIsBack would you have preferred “up and down the country?”
