Oh Cat!! My late husband and I drove that area so often and mostly on a motorcycle! In fact we traveled the last time in 2016. On the way home, an elderly lady with dementia and medical issues passed out behind the wheel and hit us head on. My husband did not make it. I was broken in over 20 places. I cried thru this whole video. This was “our place” to get away from the brutal Oklahoma summers in late August. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
So very sorry to hear about your loss of your husband. There are no words but you know in your ❤ that you have all those wonderful memories. Glad you are okay even though you had to say goodbye to your soulmate too soon 😢 Bless you and know that there are strangers out here who do feel for you 🙏🏼 Patricia in Indiana 🫶🏼
My Great Grandpa brought the first piano to Colorado via Mule, and it was in the Ouray Museum I got to see it in the 70's. All of my family is from Colorado, but some did move to California...
Such a beautiful sunset over the mountains! Love the colors & vast landscapes this world has to offer. Thanks , Cat for all the beauty you film every week to show us. Yes, I could see you living there. ❤😊
I live in Texas, I would love to be there right now, it's hot as hell here right now, send those cooler temperatures down here, your beautiful Cat ❤️❤️, always a thumbs up 👍👍
There are ocean people and mountain people and I am definitely a mountain person. Although I like the ocean, the mountains are my preference. Thanks for sharing a beautiful area in a colorful season. Soon it will be white. Ouray also has a nice hot springs to enjoy. Looking forward to the next adventure!
I've lived in the Colorado mountains 46 years but right now I'm in Ohio helping a sick relative. This video gives me a chance to experience the colorful aspens that I'm missing this year. Thank you, Cat! You gave me great joy tinged with a bit of homesickness. 🍂
I appreciate you showing some amazing country and roads that I would never get to see otherwise. I have always enjoyed your history of the places you visited and look forward to seeing what is next.
Hi Cat, the views were absolutely stunning. Fall colors, the massive strength of the mountains, and the old western towns have combined to make this part of Colorado exquisitly outstanding. For the most part during my life I spent my vacation in the fall. The crisp air and the beautiful fauna and flora just warm my heart and soul. Thanks for sharing and stay safe! David

Years ago I had similar asperations .. then a wise old friend told me to go to the same gorgeous place in the dead of Winter. That's why I live in Tucson. 🤠
My mom grew up there and my dad lived his teen years there. My grandparents had there house there, so we visited spring through fall. They called themselves snow birds, living in the Phoenix area in the winter. It's a magical place with timeless stories.
LMAO, I live in Colorado and a couple years ago, I went to Tucson for Christmas just to check it out, loved it, but was advised by more than one local to stay for a few weeks in August to get the full experience. Not off my radar but I appreciated their advice, it was hell hot and things that I didn't think could melt, melted 🔥🤣🔥
Durango is pretty. I went through there a few weeks ago walking across America. Now that I'm in the Ozarks of Arkansas, I find this place to be pretty, too, in a different sort of way.

I live in Colorado Springs, it is getting very busy but we do have the option to leave town anytime we want being retired. People are friendly here and prices are high. Ha, but aren’t they everywhere? Our weather is mild to me compared to NH where I grew up and lived for 52 years married. Snow comes and goes from March thru April usually. Hiking everywhere and lots of skiing if you want to drive two hours. I love it here and have been here in winters for twenty years so I have seen the influx of people moving here. Denver I stay away from. Ah! I love Ouray Colorado and hiking there. A beautiful video showing the beauty of Colorado.
Catherine, I think we passed one another on Colorado Highway 67 a couple weeks ago. It was just a couple days later I saw your video about the Silverton railway trip lol. I moved to Colorado from Michigan 13 years ago and can never go back. So much hiking, hot springs, beauty everywhere. I don’t blame you for wanting to live here. I have never been sorry. It’s my very favorite state. Good luck in your future decision of where to live.
Southwest Colorado, my home area, is amazing. Not only are there epic mountains but the wonderful desert of SE Utah is only a couple hours away. Best of both worlds.
Thanks cat, colorado is the closest one gets to our creator, Amazing, beautiful mountains, stay safe out there, hope joey has a blessed safe pack trip,
Another absolutely beautiful video. Awesome shots of fall coming in. I love the moody feel when the rain and clouds pass through. Was in that area a year or two ago. It is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
I drove the Million dollar highway two years ago in my motorhome. It was the third day I had Covid still it was a great trip. I love your travels.. Sincerely Anita
Catherine, that was a beautiful video. The images, music and narration. My wife and I find your videos so relaxing. You are so genuine and pleasant. Thanks from the both of us.
I moved to Colorado in 1975 and have no regrets. I am in The Denver metropolitan area near the foothills and I ride motorcycles so I am in the mountains in 5 minutes from the driveway. I also lived in Utah and loved it there.
I'm blown away by the mesmerizing fall foliage colors of the Colorado wilderness. Thank you for bringing us along on your adventures. I think I speak for a lot of us viewers in that we don't know when we'll be able to make it out that way but we definitely want to experience it ourselves someday.
Looks a lot like Pagosa Springs. I stayed there in a log home rental every Summer for a week and never ran out of things to do. Weekly rodeos, fabulous trout fishing, amazing trail riding and the San Juan River flowing right through town. It was paradise!
Beautiful area, Catherine. I'm glad for you and grateful for all you choose to do in bringing your wonderful videos to us. My cousins live in Colorado for many years and love it there. They go hiking too! ❤ Stay safe and Healthy! 🥰

My wife and I fell in love with the San Juans and moved to a 35 acre parcel in Hesperus, just 12 minutes from downtown Durango 4 years ago this week. Life is awesome. We have the best climate at 7500 feet. I built a small campground for our guests.
@@kathryncainmadsen5850 We are in Hesperus. So far just friends and family. The campground I am building can host several RVs but I want to do more landscaping improvements before we put them on short term rental platforms.
You caught the colors at my favorite moment which is not the peak. I love seeing the full spectrum all at once, from darker green, to bright green to full yellow and red. I think about this when making lists of vegetation around the waters I create.
my mom fell in love with the area back in the late 90s. then sold her place in Durango and moved to dolores. she made many friends there and mentioned Durango was to much like newport beach, ca. nice area. need to get out there sometime.

Beautiful scenery as always! The dazzling yellow leaves, the muted rust-colored ones, stunning sunset. Can't blame you for wanting to put down roots there. Ouray was quaint and Durango more modern. I liked them both. I have some family that live near Colorado Springs. I've visited there and gone up Pike's Peak on the cog train. It truly is a beautiful state.
I MISS (so VERY much!!!) living in Colorado!!! Your recent videos of its amazing beauty have had me tearing up, missing it all the more. I may consider moving back sometime in the nearer-than-not future. The beauty (to me) is unparalleled to anywhere else I've lived, comparing it to California (Mammoth area), and Idaho, especially with its outdoor beauty and activities year-round. Thank you for (unintentionally) encouraging me to possibly move back to the only place that's truly felt like home. Great video!!
@tglass0000 I live in Colorado and have driven that highway numerous times. Unfortunately, there is so much snow on the highway that guardrails would prevent snow plows from pushing the snow off of the highway. Go slow and pay attention at all times and you'll be safe!
I don't know what bout you, but thinking bout buying a new mattress really makes me realise I ain't young anymore! Time really flies doesn't it, Thank you for your vids, makes growing older so much more enjoyable.
Such a gorgeous place to enjoy nature n the surrounding beauty n place to camp n enjoy thank you for taking us along on your adventures! Have a great Sunday
My husband and I have been following your gorgeous, epic journeys for over a year now. Thank you for including us all. Also, FYI. We lived and worked in Durango, Colorado and loved the endless outdoor opportunities. However, keep in mind, that area can get a lot of snow. In 2018, we shoveled 8 feet of snow. Well wishes on your travels!
I had a vacation where I took the train from Durango to Silverton and I must say, this is some of the most gorgeous country I have ever seen. If it wasn't for the cold winters, it would be a great place for me to retire. ☺ Thanks for sharing.
You got some beautiful footage. Its very pretty to look at. I think I'm the only one in the world who hates it when summer heat is over. Fall is here & everyone but me is so happy about it being colder. Its depressing for me. I can't imagine trying to live in my camper in the cold but I'm stuck in KY & it looks like I'm not going to have a choice due to problems with truck & camper.
That trailer has been an ideal size. That neck of the woods is ok for a week or two. I still like the lower altitudes and flatter camping opportunities around Flagstaff. The food cost less in Arizona.
I have been to that camping area … Heaven on Earth. Miracle Dollar Highway to Ouray is lovely and scary at the same time. I have friends that owned the KOA Campground there for years and have since sold. This video just melts my heart … I love is there … thank you for sharing .❤🍂🍁
Can you share where this camping spot is? I live in Colorado and for some reason haven't ever been to Silverton and have seen a couple of youtubers sharing their trips and I've got to go!
Absolutely gorgeous fall colors with spectacular scenery next to your campsite! Your tortilla chips-salsa-cheese scramble looked mighty tasty. I scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes, Gorgonzola goat cheese, savory turkey breakfast sausages, curry, and thyme for my own breakfast. I'll have to try your version too.
In my 60's and born, raised and still live in the area. Thank God I was raised by parents who were so into camping they built their own hard-sided pop-up camp trailer. So many memories growing up in bear country with the 7 of us sleeping in the top bunk listening to the rain on the metal roof on the camper. My Grandparents and parents homesteaded some land where Rocky Mountain National Park is today. Built a 7 cabin, cabin-camp for trappers and hunters. Spent every summer there fishing beaver ponds all day. I carried on the tradition in my camper but the memories are priceless.
As an avid follower of your videos, I love the way you have decorated your trailer. Your table and sitting area looks so cozy. Very homey. 👏🏻 I wish you safe travels 🌹👨🏼🚒

Haven’t even watched the video yet but I’m already excited just from the title! I visited Ouray 2 yrs ago and fell in love with that area.
Ouray is now on the bucketlist! And there needs to be a kickstarter for gaurdrails for that highway!
@tglass0000
I live in Colorado and have driven that highway numerous times. Unfortunately, there is so much snow on the highway that guardrails would prevent snow plows from pushing the snow off of the highway. Go slow and pay attention at all times and you'll be safe!
We are just coming down from temps over 100 daily outside Sacramento. Watching your video is all the more beautiful.
Dang! That's gorgeous! Awesome video! Really enjoyed these Colorado videos!
I don't know what bout you, but thinking bout buying a new mattress really makes me realise I ain't young anymore! Time really flies doesn't it, Thank you for your vids, makes growing older so much more enjoyable.
Thanks for another beautiful video!
Love that area. Red Mountain Pass….one of the craziest mountain drives.

Thank You for sharing another Great Video!! Beautiful scenery. Stay Safe and if you keep posting I'll keep watching 🙏👍
Catherine the views with the fall colors were spectacular.
Beautiful Colorado. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful musical score on this one in particular, Catherine. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks you for taking us along .
Another glorious video, thank you!
Amazing sunset shots and beautiful Fall colors! Thanks for sharing!❤🍁
Absolutely gorgeous scenery!!!! Thank you for sharing!! I would really love to move to Colorado!! Looks breathtaking!
Colorado is definitely a beautiful state! Enjoy!
Enjoyed the views in the video, traveled the Million Dollar highway by motorcycle.
