    SECTION OF PENTAGONAL PRISM BY AN AUXILIARY INCLINED PLANE (AIP)
    This Lecture describes the applications of Section of Solids in Engineering Drawing and illustrates the terminology used in drawing Section of Solids.
    Further the applications and illustrations of Section plane inclined to the HP and perpendicular to the VP (AIP) have been discussed in this Lecture:
    Further, the following problem related to the Section of Solids has been illustrated in this Lecture:
    A right regular pentagonal prism, edge of base 25 mm and axis height 60 mm, rests on its base on HP with one of its base edges perpendicular to VP. A section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 60° HP cuts the prism, meeting the axis at a distance of 15 mm from its top end. Draw sectional top view, front view and true shape of the cut section.
