It’s just terrifying how easily the mechanicus can assimilate the various branches of the church of the broken god into their faith. Just say the broken god is a parallel manifestation of the omnissiah and most of the churches can be unified in this new universe. The mechanicus would definitely want to worship the pieces of the broken god, artificial intelligence not withstanding, and the church could end up becoming an even more radical and zealous sect of the machine cult with their hatred of Yaldaboth.

If we only take direct entries as canon for this thought experiment, then the SCP universe IS pataphysically higher than the 40k universe because of the existence of 40k as a hobby. Proven by the ultramarine mini that controls dice rolls near it. But I think ignoring that entry is what makes this conversation interesting.

I think if there was one well established group from a SCP Mythos universe who could match up against and challenge a Warhammer 40k galaxy and the factions in it on a nearly equal plainfield it would have to be the Ortothans.
These guys are a extra galactic religion and worship extra galactic tier elder gods of the Seven Rakmou pantheon. I think these guys and the Imperium of Man would have quite a complex relationship. Likely very dangerous but also times where they would work together.

30:00 There are, like, two MTFs who could actually beat a Space Marine squad: Samsara and Last Hope.
Samsara is composed of anomalously augmented immortal soldiers, that all pull a Swarmlord and are able to store their memories and revive in new bodies. They have access to the best anomalous weaponry of the foundation. But they are few in number.
Last hope, on the other hand, has a couple of anomalies which the foundation contains and are able to control as allies: Cain, which by himself could probably survive everything the Imperium throws at him and just reflect the damage (also throw him at an Agri world and watch as billions begin to die from starvation); Your Friendly Neighborhood Keter is part of this MTF as well, alongside Iris, which defeated Able in a fight, and a Girl able to build constructs out of solidified light.
But like I said, those are two MTFs only. I mean, if you wanna stretch, there's the Scrubs MTF, which are just three elite FPS players given immortal avatars, but they refuse to fight humans, so it would depend on whether or not they would perceive the Space Marines as Human anymore.

They'd probably end up taking scp earth but if they can find a way to evacuate humanity to places like Unlondon, three Portland and relatively safer Extradimensional anomolies the Casualties Incurred fighting the space Marines on the ground would be moot...
Really its a question of if they could escape war hammer 40k's human forces before they take their world...
Then they could regroup and assuming they took and weaponized some safer anomolies...
What i'm essentially proposing is they retreat rebuild to become something similar to the avalon reality in secret and act in a similar way to something like a gene stealer cult staying in the shadows of the forge world, but instead of trying to kill everyone, they'd Promise freedom from the Imperium of man by escaping the realm they've taken...
I personally think they could do that if it preserves humanity and any Anomoly friendly to them...
The Emperium would still take earth but I think all GOI working together with Friendly anomolies against the Imperium should allow them to survive against them long enough to get away form earths reality.

It would end in mutual annihilation, The foundation itself, can't stand up to The Imperium of Man, by sheer scale. However, once The Foundation fell, and could no longer keep the anomalies contained, The Imperium would start having some BIG problems. I don't think an Alpha plus Psyker can go toe to toe with the likes of SCP 2845, or The Scarlet King. Then hell, there's the entities from the 1548 rewrite, one of the smaller ones of which one-shotted Pluto, and started to absorb Mars. So no, The Foundation wouldn't survive, but The Imperium will be worse off for it.

The foundation I do think has some methods to potentially defeat the imperium using anomalies they do have under control in the right circumstances if you want to take them as canon. One notable thing that comes to mind is SCP-001 Kate McTiriss's Proposal which could completely rewrite reality. SCP-001 Roger's proposal would also take care of this. Another SCP if taken as canon could be used is SCP-3309 which could be used to completely delete the 40k universe. Use of Scp-4001 could probably be used to have someone find a way to save earth by writing that they will into their book. SCP-5094 could probably be used to find ways of stopping the imperium. Some clever manipulation of SCP-239 would probably be able to wipe out the entire 40k universe. SCP-582 could be used to basically wipe out anything they could send against the foundation, something similar applies to SCP-2950. Large scale ships could be dealt with using SCP-2501. This is not at all an exhaustive list.

It mostly comes down to both Canon, and what you actually want for this versus. You want the FOUNDATION against 40k, or you want the ANOMALIES against 40k? Foundation, on most canons, loses badly. Maybe they could survive and become a faction of their on if it was the Ad Astra Per Aspera Foundation. Now, the ANOMALIES against 40k are another story. Some of them could become factions of their own, others become fully fledged Chaos Gods, and some maybe just destroy the universe for all they care. To be Honest the Foundation isn't even the strongest faction of it's own universe lmao.

@@kamiwriterleonardo6345 You severely underestimate Foundation and severely overestimate Imperium, i am absolutely sure that Imperium will have NO way of dealing with half the stuff Foundation researches daily, not with their ideas and dogmas, while Mechanicus run their machines purely on power of belief and god knows what else - Foundation reverse engineers anomalous technologies, adapts it, enhances it, and them being "merely in 21 century advancement level" clearly does not stop them from creating stuff like self adapting containment chambers, time continuum separating alloy, metaphysical research, cognito research, and whole lot of other areas that cant be "shot through" with Bolters.
For example Foundation can absolutely prepare a whole lot of number of anomalous signs, text, images and other information that will wreck all the personell in Imperial space fleets, either basically destroying their cognition altogether or outright killing them on spot, and Psykers ain't going to help here because none of this is related to warp by any means, so they wont even detect it until it's too late and at that point half the space fleet staff will be long gone, Foundation doesn't even need raw power in this situation.
If they DO need raw power though, they can launch a missile with reality anchor on it, one such missile has been able to wipe out a city in one go by manipulating reality around it, and considering that anchors usually suppress outside reality warping influence - psykers will be powerless to stop it, and the hull wont handle something that literally sends local reality to kingdom come, you cant tank something physically when the very laws that make "durability" possible stop working.
At most if Imperium provokes Foundation too much, they will probably utilize a whole lot of different rituals to ascend specific trusted and loyal members of Foundation to godhood, by either turning them into type green (reality warper) entity or god level type blue (magician), and Imperium wont be capable of interfering in the ritual if Foundation will perform defensive kinetoglyphs to protect the site of ritual (Kinetoglyphs - anomalous set of movements that interact with higher dimensions and cause effects similiar to reality warping, it works for everyone who knows how to perform them, you dont need natural powers for that.)
If earth does get damaged beyond repair, the local Imperial fleets will absolutely get obliterated by whatever else will be left on/in/below/around earth, being unleashed after Imperium breaking all containment protocols Foundation wasted years on developing.
So yeah there is NO WAY Imperium can defeat SCP Foundation's earth without losing at least all offensive forces in the process, unless they get lucky enough to arrive at version of SCP earth with like 2-3 anomalies at most, lol.

There's actually a bit to suggest that pataphysics would be something the Foundation could use to their advantage, because 40k is actually mentioned in a few SCP articles and tales and is known to be a fictional universe within the SCP universe. And it would be funny if Mekhan actually existed as a complete entity if the SCP universe met the 40k universe, as his existence would probably pretty quickly result in a whole lot of the Adeptus Mechanicus converting to the Church of the Broken God, of at least believing Mekhan to be the Omnissiah.

In most cannons its just strong enough to break throu any obstackles, just fast enough to find its target in a resonable timescale. If space marine sees its face he is probably dead, even if he can put up a fight, but if they keep throwing marines or even guard at it they will eventualy realize how it works, they have enough numbers to buy themselves as much time as they need. They could even broadcast its face in some hive city, and with its rate of killing compared to the number of people and rates of population growth the problem will be solved. Like if it can at best fit a tank then the regular governments could likely handle it until the marines showed up.

I know that I'm really late, and I understand where you're coming from and such! But, I do believe that everything in The SCP Foundation comes from a Multiverse of multiple different events realities, etc. So, along with The SCP Foundation's MTF would go from basic day soldiers to being able to take down gods-[In some stories within The SCP Foundation "canon"/canon and such]. But yeah, I really do believe that The SCP Foundation Multiverse would have multiple different events, many different canons, and a lot of many other factors. But, since The SCP Foundation has always came down to the many, many, many, many different events within the "canon"/canon, and overall. I do believe that The SCP Foundation would win because of the fact that even without The English Branch of The SCP Foundation would probably have a decent chance against The Warhammer 40k verse, and it would also depend on the different branches of The SCP Foundation verses-[The English Branch, The Chinese Branch, The Japanese Branch, The Russian Branch, and many of the other branches] that would have further expanded The SCP Foundation Multiverse as a whole. But yeah, that's what I have with the "canon"/canon, and the "extended canon"/extended canon which would once again futher deep dive and strengthen The SCP Foundation verse/Multiverse as a whole such as depending on if The 05 Council has powers and not-[plus, The 05 Council's own MTF soldiers] and in most cases they do. Along with The Administrator, and his very own MTF soldiers. Oh, and The Ethics Committee with their very own MTF soldiers. Plus in most canon's The Global Occult Coalition, The Chaos Insurgency, and the many other SCP Foundation verse human and "human" groups could actually probably defeat Warhammer 40k verse. Which again, it would have-had been decided on the "canon"/canon, and "extended canon"/extended canon of course. But, overall if we would have used The SCP Foundation verse as a full power as well as using The Warhammer 40k verse being at its full power with all lore, all "canon"/canon and "extended canon"/extended canon, I would have to say that I'm going with The SCP Foundation verse. But, if it was any other way. I would have said that Warhammer 40k would have given The SCP Foundation verse a bloody nose. But, The SCP Foundation would have also given The Warhammer 40k a bloody nose too. But, that's what I atleast think if I get deeper and deeper into the actual lore of course
Edit: The SCP Foundation also has access to The Swann Entities which are basically The SCP Foundation writers and such. But, yeah thats atleast what I still think of course

Everyone's just talking about the Imperium but, fail to consider if it was a faction like the Thousand Sons, Magnus would have a field day with the SCP foundation let alone Tzeentzch its self. And not to mention the other 3 chaos gods. I have no question the Imperium would struggle but the chaos gods are on a whole another level. Question though, once the two realms were connected would the warp then spill over to the universe which the SCP is in? If so, a reality bender wouldn't be able to just end it at will and would ultimately be doomed for the above reason. The chaos gods would just reside in the new universe and continue to mess stuff up indefinitely

The foundation would simply just bring 055 to 579 like they did multiple times before most notably in the SCP 5000 universe so the portal never opened in the first place

  • @stargazer-elite

    Ok ok hear me out
The foundation finds someway to have an alternative reality open wether that be cooperation with 106 or using 3008 or something else.
then they put a bunch plants, all the humans and other things that would be needed to restart life on Earth in that alternate reality they close that opening.
then they have a d-class go into 2935 and come back out to kill all life in the SCP foundation universe since the portal would still be open it’s safe to assume the affect would travel through the portal and kill everyone in the 40k universe.
then the SCP foundation reopens their gateway and returns to revive Earth and while it sacrifices alien life I think the SCP foundation would feel it to be worth it.

28:44 Also let's be honest if a new faction suddenly appeared and wiped out holy Terra sure mankind would be absolutely fucked in the long term but I'm sure that they'd make sure that faction went down with them.
That's not even taking into account that some factions would likely put aside their differences long enough to destroy that faction before going back to killing each other.
I could easily see the Remnants of Mankind, the Tau, the Necrons & the Orks deciding to destroy this new faction.
The Remnants to avenge the god emperor
The Tau because for it's for the greater good that this weapon is destroyed or controlled by them
The Necrons, specifically Trayzn, cause he'd want it as part of his collection. Hell knowing Trayzn he'd probably save the god emperor just to add him to his collection if he was aware of it coming.
'da orks 'cos dey love a gud fight

the only real universe to compete is stellaris and only reason would be if the entities of the shroud got involved its version more or less of the warp as well as its lore is heavily bassed on warhammer and lovecraftian stuff as well as some crisis potentially like the pytherium scurge in stellaris. mayyybe still and depends on alot of factors and hard to say as even the shroud seems to also have limited connection to stellaris universe but its hard to say but its only real universe i see having a potential chance at war at least to hold back for periods of time tho and again only becuase its so heavily similer in many things to warhammer and why its my fav game for a 4x strat game :D just that at least things will fight for the stellaris universe without needing much cohersion and my largest issue with scp and warhammer is if the scp foundation can contain the 40k universe can contain them and prob contain many that the scp foundation cant contain so anything they have contained is out the question right away if invaded

@@involuntaryanalysisThe foundation I do think has some methods to potentially defeat the imperium using anomalies they do have under control in the right circumstances if you want to take them as canon.

@@involuntaryanalysis the foundation itself, could wipe the floor with the 40K universe, if we’re using its strongest form
      Reality bender?, Scranton, reality anchor
Tech far above them? Reverse engineer it with the help of anomalies that have omniscience or close to it.
FTL travel? Well the foundation in its strongest form goes millions if not billions of time faster then FTL travel (as seen by the SCP 001 proposal literally titled “the true 001”)
      Etc
