awesome video man! really helped with the turbine optimization on that enderium aswell as the 7x7 turbine, if the video had those time stamps things on the video length it would be perfect
i got here for say something, i know that he video is almost from past year, but i discovered recently that the cross check pattern is not the best, the cross pattern for the fuel rods is better, cuz when fuel rods are next to each other they irradiate each other, making them consume last fuel, what makes the reactor more fuel efficient.
around 6th minute, the difference is that the later one is reinforced and reinforced reactors have worse production rate for the same size when comparing to basic, but they allow for bigger sizes.
Good video, nice explanations, common mistakes and typical recording errors. Of course, Just cause a particular setup is the most efficient, it doesn't always mean its the best in your particular case. I fondly remember a big reactor i build back in 1.6 or 1.7 where i had 1 reactor powering 24 turbines by having the reactor in the middle with 8 turbines around in 3 layers. Cause its modded minecraft and you always end up with virtually infinite stuff anyhow. I designed it all as part of a maniacal madmen's nuclear base. There is however 1 thing you forgot to mention, which is very important when dealing with multiblock structures in minecraft, and that is chunk borders. You always want to make sure you build multiblocks, such as reactors, turbines, or smelteries and tanks, within a single chunk, to prevent issues arising with lag or self loading chunks that can cause issues server wide. I remember a guy that built a 256x256x256 big reactor, and whenever he logged on, tps would go down from 20 to 2. Suffice to say, staff made it disappear with worldedit.
Great explanations, thanks! Disappointed though because I'm playing ATM9 and this exact setup only outputs 22k rf/t. They have nerfed it so horribly it's not even feasible to use the mod. 😭
Hopefully this helps anyone who sees this comment in the future but instead of enderium you need to use the block that extreme reactors uses, 32 Insanite blocks being the best with about 15Mfe/t at 2b/t of steam.
Hello, really great video but in my survival world, when I do a basic reactor with the same configuration as you I only get 3kFE/t instead of more than 100kFE/t for you. Do you have any idea of what cause this (I using uranium as fuel and diamond block inside of the reactor to cool it down just as you do)
when i make the basic 3x3 reactor exactly like you did, it only produces 184.5ke/tl, do you know why this might be? i am using yellorium as the fuel source and have the fuel rods all the way out. thanks!
Sounds like you built a very large Reactor and like 90% of your steam is going to waste. Your Reactor could probably power A LOT of these turbines so if you matched your reactors output, the turbines would produce more. He even said that a small Reactor can power 5-20 of these turbines. You just didn't scale correctly.

I really like your tutorials, you explain everything in an easy but not time wasting way! Keep up the good work!

1 year later this comment helped me thank you o7
@@prediction3624 Much appreciated, always feels good to be helpful.
i feel like i watched your 1.7.10 tutorial on this exact topic except less Cryotheum
In the process of a 17x17x17 cooled by diamonds and holy fuck does it take an absolute fuck ton of resources but it’ll be worth it

Oh yes staying in chunk boundaries is always a good idea!

They buffed it 3× times in the more recent updates
In ATM8 the output with a 5x5 reactor with checkerboard fuel cells and graphite blocks between fuel cells and casing is just under 11kFE/t
it's enough to power a digital miner (non silk touch) with all upgrades (9kFE/t)

would be funny if the turbine just took flight and you lose everything
widht = efficiency, height = more powah
cooling may not be needed but it will significantly reduce fuel cost

I have the same problem, did you manage to solve it?
@@knurft3 nah i don't think so
I dont really remember cuz it's been a while since I played on that world
I got 8k going with the same setup. Dont know what’s going on or if the server I’m on tweaked it. I want a ton of power but just ain’t happening
I have reactor 9x9x9 reinforced = 119 kfe/t why so little? i have diamond blocks inside . Mod pack ATM 10
Can we have a part list?
I made a turbine in this mod but I can't figure out how moderators work I don't know If I'm doing something wrong or what

correction, i saw that you were using uranium so i tried that too, and there was no difference.
@@quark_ow most likely a modpack thing, a lot of packs change the output for reactors in the config file
How are you outputting that much Fe/tick, built the same one and I'm only at 3,7kFE/tick
Depends on modpack
In all the mods 9 7x7x14 isn’t that good my reactor does 300k turbine does 70k

How do you get the pipes i dnt have them
those are mekanism pipes
