From a new viewer who just made TWO of your projects on my own already, just want to say thanks for all the inspiration Cath. You really made me fall in love with even trying to make miniatures. I've watched a lot of makers, but your approachable style and simple materials made me pull the trigger and start making things of my own. Right now, I am just making miniature furniture but hope to make kits and houses like you soon. Thanks for all the help and videos. Keep up the great work :)
Aww thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so happy to hear that you've fallen in love with making miniatures! It truly makes the work I put into these videos worth it :)
Oh Wow you are so amazing, Cath - I guess you also can use this method to make a sliding patio door. Make it larger and turn it 90 degrees. Using a nail file is a brilliant tip 👍
April 10, 2021----Thanks for the video/helpful tip. But now looking at it in different ways. First, doing this in 1/35th scale for some zombie/apocalypse dioramas in mind, like for homes and apartments. Use those clear sheet protectors from Dollar Tree for glass. Make several window frames and the windows themselves out of strips of sheet styrene, then make a silicone mold of them. This way I can mass produce different sized window frames and windows at a time in resin. Yeah, I know....I am such a lazy individual, but when I get to building things, I like having LOTS of supplies on hand, ready to use.
As always, you make the impossible look completely possible! I was going to make a mini log cabin (or just a wooden cabin, lol) and these will be a perfect addition! I think I could even tweak it to make a sliding “glass” door! Thanks for the video. It’s always a pleasure to watch them.
when i try too make miniatures i tell myself it will be great! But I get about 1/8 through and I'm like boy this is hard and I'm hungry... nothing gets done when I'm around!
I don't think scratching the windows is needed. Window glass isn't scratched. It just makes them appear fake to me. Otherwise its a nice simple to understand tutorial that I appreciate.
I recently found your channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying it! I’ve made several of your projects so far and can’t wait to try this one. Thank you so much for adding links to where you purchase the materials. I was able to order battery boxes from EBay and lights from Bangood. I never would have found them without your links. Please keep the videos coming! My daughter and I love the way you throw the sticks.
Hey, would you ever considering doing a video series on making a 1:12th scale dollshouse / roombox completely from scratch? I love the look of the kits but they dont fit the sizes i want without them becoming ridiculously expensive as i dont have a very big budget. Im loving the 12th scale features i can implement into my own design like the fireplace and these windows :)
19th comment. Love your videos! I use them for a toy called LPS. Having your crafts with my sets inspires me so much to keep getting better and better. Thanks for being so awesome!
Adorable and cute!💓 thanks a lot Cath. 😘 Can you try a unidirectional or perpendicular sanding or just some spray to make it matte? btw guess u caught cold?
It slides open better than my actual windows
@侯建妃 i think that was for sarcastic purposes...
My window always gets stuck when I pull it down.. feels like wrestling lol
😂😂😂😂

Had a bad day. Just came here for your soothing voice. Thank you.
These are so relaxing to just watch
I dont like the scratched windows but I understand why you did it. :)
Ginger Kubicz i didn't catch it. What's the reason for the scratches? Thanks.
Bel Ban “a tip to make the plastic more visible on miniatures”
Vanessa thank you :)
Same. Wouldn't a coat of something clear (glue, resin, gloss) be better than gauge marks if the point is to make it more noticable?
yeah at first i though it was glad wrap in the Intro quick preview, it looks cheap
I live for your videos

Thank you so much for demonstrated your miniature window. It gave me the idea of make my own window in my camper. Thanks a million.
I always look forward to your videos, especially the flinging of the popsicle sticks! 😁
I guess if we made a larger version of this and flipped it on its side we could make a sliding door

Que coisa linda! Eu amo essas coisas. Eu gostaria de saber o nome destes pedaço de tábua fininha?
The measurements aren’t matching up for me so I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. The panes are too long for the 1.75x2.75 frame.
Your stuff is Dope
Love your stuff but I'm having trouble finding the wood part things and suggestions?
19th comment. Love your videos! I use them for a toy called LPS. Having your crafts with my sets inspires me so much to keep getting better and better. Thanks for being so awesome!
