Your video came up on my feed and I’m so happy it did. I’m trying to make an asymmetrical Tunisian shawl and after completing many rows I took it apart because of the unsightly hole in the first foundation stitch. Your instruction will enable me to try it again. Thank you so much.
I'm watching this years after you created it and this is the best video about the foundation row. Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I can't wait to watch more of your videos.
Thank you so much for the compliment, Majorie. I really hope that you enjoy the rest of my videos too. After a few years' break, you will see way more videos this year as well.💕
This is by far thee "best beginners instructions" for Tunisian crochet. You literally explain every detail that is needed. I've watched so many, "even from those high subscribers channels" and they don't compare to yours! Thank you so much!!
Although I've been doing Tunisian Crochet for a while I really enjoyed your introduction - everything was explained so clearly. Following the flow of the yarn was interesting but the best thing I learned was your tip on how to use the slip knot as a stitch in your foundation chain. I wish I had learned this years ago!
Fliss H thank so much for your beautiful compliments and comments. That trick I figured when I crocheted baby shoe soles. I just hated that pesky knot at the start of the chains. So I basically use this trick in whatever I make. Thanks again for your kind feedback. Hope I’ll have some more tricks to share with you 👌🏻💖
Hello Gina. Yes, you will have 225 loops on your hook, that you picked up from the foundation chain. It will look like knitting stitches on a needle. That is what you will work with, but...a standard Tunisian crochet hook might be too short for so many stitches, depending on the yarn weight you use. You will prefereably use an interchangeable hook with a cable on. There are various brands.
Hope Rose I have indeed. Here is the link to all my videos on my channel. On the LESSONS playlist, you will find a video on “Troubleshooting Areas”. There I explain some more on those edges. I hope it helps! Let me know if it does please 💖 ruclips.net/channel/UCn98w4hrzLBNPZTIflJawiA

If I have a chain of 225, do I try and fit all 225 on the hook for the foundation before starting next row?
