I was born with Spina bifida, have had 34 surgeries and the 33rd surgery paralyzed me, have lived in a nursing home for over a decade, and yet found joy and blessings in the darkness. I even wrote a book called Blessings From Within The Dark. Jesus loves you SO much everyone!!! My book is my testimony and God is using it to change hearts and to help me leave the nursing home.

Struggling with depression to the point where I was praying for God to take me. That very day in my intake paperwork for my annual checkup was a depression screening. The hardest part of dealing with depression is asking for help. God took that out of my hands and showed me it was time. God's power and love manifest in amazing ways we just have to listen when he speaks to us.
Read the book of job, the book of Isiah then Matthew .. proverbs helps as well , what I’m trying to say is that I was set free from depression and anxiety by reading the Bible and praying , surrender everything to Jesus and let him move

I love this song. I’ve been going through a really dark time. It’s been over 6 months since and I’m still struggling so much. As much as everyone around me wants me to be better, to be happy, I can’t. I’m suffering so much. This song is one of the few that is helping me accept reality and what happened. Even though each day my heart still aches..I feel like I’m covered in darkness all the time but once in a while I’ll feel God’s hand touch my shoulder.

I was born with Spina bifida, have had 34 surgeries and the 33rd surgery paralyzed me, have lived in a nursing home for over a decade, and yet found joy and blessings in the darkness. Struggling with depression to the point where I was praying for God to take me. That very day in my intake paperwork for my annual checkup was a depression screening. The hardest part of dealing with depression is asking for help. God took that out of my hands and showed me it was time. God's power and love manifest in amazing ways we just have to listen when he speaks to us.
