hi! I'm Esmie, author of the Sunday Times Bestselling space fantasy book THE PRINCIPLE OF MOMENTS, which is best described as Treasure Planet meets Atlantis with a bit more romance. This is a day in my life 🥰
We're going on a tripppp!!!! I was flabbergasted to be invited to the Edinburgh International Book Festival, where I was interviewed by the lovely Dr Jess Brough about everything space opera, time travel, and love as resistance. I also went to the beautiful Toppings & Company in Edinburgh where I signed (and stamped) some books, much to my delight. I also had the best coffee there after 20 straight hours of travel & adventure on only 3 hours of sleep.

honestly, it was incredible - and the authors they get to give talks and interviews are insane!! I wish I'd had time to go to some of the talks myself, they all looked brilliant.

Any info on the new witch novel you're working on? Is it set in the same universe as The Principle of Moments, or is it completely separate?
the witch novel is totally separate!! I'm going to make a video on it soon but it's like my take on dark academia and is set at a university for witches!

How the heck were you so composed and put together at 4:47am? I flew to Glasgow at like midday and looked like a disheveled creature. Seeing your rightfully deserved success is so inspiring and is a big motivating factor in me finishing my novel.
It was an absolute pleasure to get to briefly speak to you at WorldCon and talk about The Principle of Moments and my upcoming novel. Your time and enthusiasm for what I'm doing will be sticking with me for a long time, I can guarantee.
Just as a heads up, Cardiff also has a Tim Hortons- should you ever come to Wales for a signing or event 😜

What script font are you using for your titles? I love book shopping in Edinburgh! I visited for the first time last November, can't wait to visit again maybe in the spring or summer time for a different (warmer) experience 😅
