Thank you for this lesson on wool sweaters. I love the rusted doll house just the way it is! Now I want to find one. lol Your yard is beautiful. Thanks again, Jeri! Blessings. 💛💛💛
Yours is the place offering me creative courage. You give me permission to accept all my many artistic self criticisms and lack of confidence. You remind me that 'there are no rules', and everything deemed imperfect or a downright "failure" in my eyes, are turned into new opportunities or initially unrecognized textural, colourful or constructional elements. Thank you for inspiring me, for your emphasis on using repurposed materials (so important to me environmentally and financially). I love ALL of your projects, and look forward to this inevitable cold Canadian winter (in isolation too), to hunker down and pass my days being half as productive as you! Thank you Jeri, you are valued, appreciated and so very talented! ❤️
Oh my, you feed my soul. Knowing that I touch so many here keeps me going and I’m so grateful for your sweet comment! Yes, keep moving those hands and explore your creativity without expectations. 💜💜💜
Fantastic! I’ll be on the lookout for wool sweaters from now on! Love this video. I’ve been struggling all day - tired, old age, blah blah..lol - you just brought smiles to me and warmth to my heart. I’m so grateful I’ve found you and your Channel. Thank you. ❤
My granddaughter is an artist and has had crohns disease since she was a toddler. Suffered so much getting diagnosed was another problem. It took forever to get help for her. She did infusions every 3 weeks forever. On Steroids when young and putting on weight and kids making fun of her eating so much. She did self portraits of herself and so dark. She suffered so much. She is teaching classes for a few years while in high school and worked and now in college. She is amazing. Thank you for sharing. I need to watch more of your videos.
Thanks for sharing. Its encouraging. My grandson has a similar story but he is only 13 now. It was scary, he lost so much weight before being diagnosed. He is getting infusions and doing better. Wish he would change his diet, hope eventually he'll understand how to do things to help.
Hi Jeri, greetings from OZ 🤗🤗 I loved this video, & will be doing some binge-watching of your past vids, especially your burn-out one. I think I'm going through the same thing at the moment, just dealing with getting older & health problems & life in general !!!!! Thank goodness for all you generous crafters out there to give your time & take our minds of life's problems xXxX You live in a lovely spot xx Keep on feeling good 😍😍Love & hugs from OZ 🇦🇺😎😘😘😘😘

You're right, I have been missing you! 😊I'm just coming out of a funk myself, but it feels like I'm coming out the other side and have been working on my dots again. I loved seeing your lovely outdoor space and your cool, rusty dollhouse. Sending you love and positive vibes Jeri. ❤ 😊
Oh I’m sorry Cathy, it stinks. And our funks all seem to be so different. I wanted to come home so I did, will be going back next week. I’m still feeling a bit off but honestly my creativity keeps me going. I’m finally getting my eco class organized too. Sending you hugs dear friend. 💜💜💜
I just love your rusty dollhouse - I live in Colorado - near Denver so I can’t seem to find old doll houses - I use to live in NY state & then retired to Colorado where my 44 yr old son lives . We love Colorado but I miss the country - not the weather cause we have sunshine all the time - thanks for sharing your crafts ..
I live in the mecca of all things old and rescued. I've never been to Colorado but hear it's amazing. It's just getting cold here now and I don't like it! LOL 💛
Fun project. I’ll be keeping an eye out for wool sweaters now. You are so blessed to have your space. The owl is beautiful. We had one across the street in our neighbor’s barn that we would hear in the evening. Enjoyed this video and seeing what you are up to!
Such a fascinating video, I love owls and I have an old sweater that I accidentally shrunk and I am looking for ideas of what I can do with it, so thank you very much!
@@JeriBellini the sweater idea is brilliant! I'm kicking myself for getting rid of a few wool sweaters a few years ago. Definitely going to be on the lookout for them when I go thrifting.

Hi Lisa! A bag would be wonderful! I used to knit and then felt them and now you're making me want to go look for them and cut them up! LOLOLOLOL Blessings to you! 💜 💜 💜
great to see and hear you again Jeri! thanks for this inspiring video on felting wool sweaters. im sitting here thinking about which neighbors to ask if they have any wool sweaters that they don't want anymore. looking forward to seeing your felted wool project progress. your owl is so beautiful. a blessing in your yard. he obviously likes you guys! take good care of yourself please. linda from california
I went to the thrift store yesterday, I videoed it, anyway this guy says on the other side of the isle where I was looking for sweaters, he heard me talking to Brian. THROW all the wool out! Yikes! I do wonder who wears them they are itchy to me! 😂 💜💜💜
Hi Jeri - Thank you so much for sharing how to felt a piece of wool clothing. I’ve wondered what was involved. Seems simple enough. Just finding the pieces is the hard part. I’ll be looking for them my next trips to the thrift stores. I’m fairly new to your channel and I love your videos. I live by myself and don’t have many creative friends. I love that you share fun and creative stuff. I’ll be praying for you to feel better soon. Take as much time as you need. Just find joy in whatever live gives you each day. Hugs! 💕🧵🙏🏻🌻
Thank you for finding me! I'm glad you're here and I am going from one thing to another and enjoying myself. I started setting up a sewing area in my bedroom and I turned the camera on. Will share that soon. And I'm headed to the thrift store today and will film that. I got this thing you hook around your body so I'll be hands free, we will see how that goes! Love to do new things! 💛💛💛
Jeri…thanks for kind reply! I live in Drums, Pa…in a lake community on the mountainside. (between Hazleton and Wilkes Barre.) I used to live in historic Bethlehem, Pa. For some reason I thought your tiny home was in Florida…forgive my senior moment. I spent a lot of summers in Avalon, NJ and used to walk over to Cape May when tide was low. Great memories. I was widowed 20 years ago and moved back to PA after a long and wonderful corporate career inside the Beltway. After my retirement I became a self-taught artist and now I just play with a ton of creative stuff….quilting, painting, watercolor, crochet, furniture rehab, you name it. You are a kindred spirit! So happy to have found you.
Hi Jeri I am so happy to hear and see you . Just take care of yourself. You are stronger than you think you are. Ask God to help you and he will. I love you God bless you Sue
Hey Jeri! Glad to see you made it home home safely. How ‘bout that five minute yo-yo??” 😂. Well it was a five minute square so that’s just as good! Thanks for the tour. Enjoy those Fall leaves and enjoy some slow living! Hope you don’t stop your videos completely but even if they are little side bars I will enjoy. Totally get the burnout thing. The mind is willing but the body isn’t always able and has different ideas I think which them affects the mind. Take care and see you soon ❤
HA! yes for the time being I’m happy to take you along with me when I’m working on something fun. I will share what I’m calling my “Burnout Art Series” . Really enjoying working with wool sweaters right now! Thanks for being here! 💜💜💜
I'm from south central PA and I'm always looking for new flea markets. which one did you go too? Love your videos. I'm a newbie here and enjoy the slow concise way you speak so everyone can understand and learn from you.
Such a beautiful yard. Look how many leaves are on the ground already!!! It was nice being able to watch a motion video without feeling nauseous. I love the rusty doll house. Is it attached to the table? Beautiful owl too.
MY Gimbal!!!! that's a thing that holds the camera and keeps it a bit more stable, it was a good investment! No the doll house just sits there. So much to do at the house in PA, one thing at a time. 💛
I would use those wool seams to make "faux" hair wraps that can be clipped into the hair- perfect thickness to replace hair in the wrap so it's removable! Kids love them!
I love cutting up woolly jumpers! I have made some into new wearable art and I keep the seams to embellish them with couching. I use them in textile art too. Some jumpers or cardigans are already felted when I find them, probably accidentally by the previous owner. Love your new project too, and your yard … I missed the owl picture tho - maybe I was looking at my stitching when you inserted it! 🤭🙃
burnout art, indeed. Yes, I think I could buy some wool pieces from your etsy shop, with huge gratitude. Hugs. Look what comes from burnout. Wow! the chairs he made! They're gorgeous. Oh yes, the other thought I had when you said creepy babies. Linda found an old messed up doll and sliced open her head. Now the head is a planter for one of Linda's succulents. Almost a little too creepy for me, but it gives her pleasure. And then I'll find arms and legs out in some arrangement somewhere. It's fun to live amid someone else's creativity.
Oh now that sounds like FUN! Brian will put a few wool kits up this week. I put my back out so my visit home got ruined, all the things I wanted to do! But I was able to cut up some sweaters and made a few kits. I'll make more when I go home for the season. I'm back at the beach now, just got here a few hours ago. 💜💜💜
You are so precious to listen to. I have a coat I made many years ago from the buffalo wool in 3 different colors. I am going to attempt to felt this coat ( a friend is going to help me)I’m wondering how it will go. I live in North Dakota
Do take it apart first since it's a coat. A sweater you can go either way. I have a video on how to deconstruct a coat if you are interested. Thanks so much for your comment! 💛💛💛
Gather your supplies and then when you have a few minutes work on something. Can take things like this with you to appointments too. You only need a few minutes at a time. 💜
Thanks Jayne, I'm just going from one fun thing to another. Also setting up a sewing area in my bedroom, I did a video on that too! I love to reorganize. 💛💛💛
Hey Jeri, What size needle are you using on this video? I love how you finished your edges. Thanks you for your videos. Don’t ever feel bad about not getting a video up. Just don’t stop. I am a 68 year old retired male and struggle with many of the same issues you do since I retired. I appreciate the advice and to know I am not the only one. Take care and thanks for being there.
Hi John, Thank you for your kind words. Re the needle, I use whatever works for the thread I'm using. I experiment with a few needles each time I do a new project. I tend to like Milliner needles, they are fairly straight all the way up to the needle hole, if that makes sense. I'm sorry I can't be more specific. 💛
I would say mostly yes, sometimes if there’s a little something else in the cloth it will still felt. I take a chance if I’m not sure and sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised. ❤️❤️❤️
I'll be showing how I did that. I just got back to the beach and will work on that this week. I made a few kits before I left and will do a little how to, to go along with the kits. 💜💜💜
Love this idea, I’ve already put a call out on my local fb group for cast offs 😀 Can you similarly felt other 100% clothing? How would you decide any other item would felt well?
ruclips.net/video/IvJrpJ8XGV0/видео.html I deconstructed a wool coat and a skirt I think, so yes, other types of wool will felt. The difference between the sweaters and a coat, is the sweater if thick and fluffy for lack of a better word. So I use both but for different things. 💛
It’s actually the agitation that felts the wool. I’m still looking forward to figuring out what you do with these filter sweaters. 🤔 I’ll keep watching. 😊
Hi Jeri! This is such a cool idea! What is your zip code in PA? I’m in PA! How long have you been in PA? We all have burnout, it’s okay. Love your videos and ideas! Hugs to you! ❤
Lost mojo can come from so many things, the solution is to figure out what happened and fix it if you can. OR it could just be un-inspiration. If that's the case I suggest you go clean out an art supply closet or drawer and before you know it.... 💛💛💛
Another Pennsylvanian here. Southwestern PA. We need someone from Erie and we'll have all four corners covered. Finding wool sweaters at a theft store here is rare.
really?? I wonder why... I don't see them all the time but they are here. You'll ljust have to get some of my scrap bundles when I make them when I come back from the beach! 💛💛💛
You just need to get some Color Catcher/Grabber the next time you are in the laundry section. Throw one or two in and they will catch all the stray dye.
That's interesting, but it's actually fuzz coming off the other sweaters. I used a brush and it comes right off. I'll get some of that color grabber though just in case for other occasions. 💜💜💜
@JeriBellini I am so glad to hear that Jeri. You are too hard on yourself lovely. There is only one you in this universe and you are a wonderful creative.

I have ideas like this don't make time but not sure whut to do fun watching
Gather your supplies and then when you have a few minutes work on something. Can take things like this with you to appointments too. You only need a few minutes at a time. 💜
Ugh 😢 where were you 2 months ago when I threw out 2 wool sweaters!!!! Great idea!!! Thank you ❤
Oui! It's never too late to start collecting them again! 😂 💜
Would love to see how you sewed the pieces together!
Will definitely show you! 💜
I've used the seams to make tassels.
How fun! 💛
I love this idea! I'm allergic to wool but it might be worth it....🙂
Me too, I sneeze a bit when I'm messing with the cleaning part, but the sewing part does not bother me, I think it's the wool dust. hugs, 💛💛💛
PPS: oh my goodness I secretly love the creepy doll/dollhouse thing 😂. !!!😂
Oh don’t keep that a secret! 😂
I’ve been reorganizing my sewing things and my creepy babies made an appearance! 💜💜💜
Hope you’re recharging and feeling better soon.
Thanks Jayne, I'm just going from one fun thing to another. Also setting up a sewing area in my bedroom, I did a video on that too! I love to reorganize. 💛💛💛
oh I love this! video worthy
Yay! Thanks! 💛💛💛
I get it I'm right there with you I have lost alot
Thanks for watching Tina! 💜
Thank you for this really informative video. I would just like to ask if it has to be 100% wool for it to be felted. Many thanks. 🥰
I would say mostly yes, sometimes if there’s a little something else in the cloth it will still felt. I take a chance if I’m not sure and sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised.
❤️❤️❤️
Many thanks. 🥰🥰🥰
Happy to find you.
Welcome! Glad you’re here! 💜💜💜
Hi Jeri, what are you going to do with the felted squares? How do you stitch them together?
I'll be showing how I did that. I just got back to the beach and will work on that this week. I made a few kits before I left and will do a little how to, to go along with the kits. 💜💜💜
I was thinking you might be working on a penny quilt/table runner.
No but that’s not out of the question, I have made oodles of Pennie’s! 💜💜💜
Jeri, I love the wooden cabinet that stores your markers! Is it vintage? Beautiful 💚
Yes Donna, Brian found it years ago, it's pretty amazing! Thanks for watching! 💛
❤ thank you for sharing
You are so welcome! 💛
@@JeriBellini thank you
It’s actually the agitation that felts the wool. I’m still looking forward to figuring out what you do with these filter sweaters. 🤔 I’ll keep watching. 😊
Hang out with me for a while, I’m working a few projects now. 💜
Hi Jeri! This is such a cool idea! What is your zip code in PA? I’m in PA! How long have you been in PA? We all have burnout, it’s okay. Love your videos and ideas! Hugs to you! ❤
19505 I just moved here from the Lehigh Valley area. Where are you? 💜
I looked at that and misread it, wishful thinking, LOL!
I’m in the 15905 area, Western PA, outside of Pittsburgh.
@@janicelayton7373 Now that's so weird, the same numbers just mixed up!
Sorry if this has been asked before, I just discovered you! What kind of scissors are you using?
No one has asked, I used Ginghers and I also use a rotary cutter. 💜
I went a little crazy one year and bought tons of sweaters to do this to. So needless to say, I have lots of wool.
Lucky you! I’ll be sharing my woolie projects too. Happy Felting! 💜
Hello fellow Pennsylvania; I am located in the Pocono mountain region. Do you offer classes? and if so anything near me? thanks
Oh you might be the closest subscriber so far!
I’m not doing in person classes at this time.
Do you ever shop at the big flea market up there?! 💜
Hello hello! I’ve lost my mojo, not all burnout, and I hear you.
Cool
Thanks! 💜
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Lauralee! 💛💛💛
Ps. My extended family and parents from Windber. Wished I wasn’t so far away (Florida).
❤❤
Thank you! 💛💛💛
I am sorry you burnt out. It's a horrible feeling. I think you will be like the Phoenix and rise from the ashes renewed and even better.❤
Thank you for that vote of confidence! I am feeling much better! 💜💜💜
@JeriBellini I am so glad to hear that Jeri. You are too hard on yourself lovely. There is only one you in this universe and you are a wonderful creative.
You’re so cute squatting for us ❤
Ha! Ruthie! It was fun to spend the morning with you! 💛💛💛
Fantastic burnout art. Great way to upcycle. Thanks for the inspiration 💝 🇦🇺
Thanks so much! 😊 I have more! I'll share soon. 💜💜💜
An owl!
YES! Isn't it gorgeous! 💛💛💛
I imagine a lot of is are feeling that way after the election! 😫
Hi Meredith, Do something creative today, it always makes me feel better! ❤️
OOooohh, an owl! Collect the pellets from the owl and sell them. They are quite expensive so you'll make good money.
WHAT? I never heard of that! Crazy the things that have value! 😂 💜💜💜
Adirondack chair is horrible to sit on, and get out of. Grrr. Impractical.
OK, not for everyone.
❤❤
