Hello my good friend. What an absolutely amazing upload! So happy we stopped by on a Monday to see your newest video! Big,big, big Like!!!!! Have a great week! this part of UK is awesome
Currently visiting the area from Australia. It has the appearance of a town in decline. Many shops are closed, people on drugs and the town appears run down. Give it a miss and visit the surrounding areas.
st austell has really improved recently, lots of investement, new mega projects announced, new shops, new mining going on, and lots of new infrastructure upgrades, we operate a business there, and its is doing really well, even during summer.
Just got back from Cornwall and loved it…Unfortunately they only appear to have contempt for us “English” If I was you, I’d move to Broadstairs or Seaford 😊
Hey sorry haven't watched you in a while youtube notifications are not right. Love the sound of the seagulls as you walk through this town in Cornwall... the totem pole looked cool :) the the street art too :) nice to take a stroll with you down these narrow streets :) always a nice surprise especially loved the church building x
Lovely walking tour, thank you. I will be visiting next year for the first time. My 2nd great grandparents lived in the area, my great grandfather migrated to the US.
Moved to New Zealand from St Austell in 2000. It has changed a lot, 2 of my favourite pubs are missing: The General Wolfe and Sun Inn. Thank you for the video.
We emigrated to Australia back in 2007 and St Austell was our local shopping town. Was this filmed on a Sunday a i don't remember it being this quiet!!? Thanks for the upload :)
Between me and you, you missed a little bit from st Austell….. maybe walking to show the closest railway , police and bus station. I’ll be fair it’s a rubbish hill at st Austell.
I remember being there in summer 1973 (awful weather). It was a stunning town center with its mixture of old and new independent shops. This place is economically dead and I'm surprised there's so many awful generic boxes still open. Must be a 'business fed on credit'' kind of thing.
A cartel of local traders destroyed that town back in the late 1970's by keeping Marks & Spencer out. They sent all the trade to Truro, and in the end destroyed their own businesses in the process. 'Very selfish and short-sighted for all - 'Left the area in 1996 and then the county in 2001......... 'Never either looked or went back! :-(
Nobody actually finds that sculpture 'exciting", had no idea it was named "Earth Goddess" everyone I speak to calls it something less flattering. The area outside Costa could look SO nice with that thing gone and the depressing walls of the buildings there painted. Must be a drunk person in charge of that area outside Costa. It's not attracting anyone sober to the town. On second thought the sculpture wouldn't look so strange if the buildings behind it got a lick of paint. Love the video, lovely town.
Bro endured torture for our entertainment.respect😂😊

Camborne is a lot better. Much safer than St. Austell.

Ooh that must be lovely living in Australia! This was filmed on a Tuesday afternoon. Was surprisingly quiet. Thanks for watching 😊
You wouldn't recognise St Austell now so many shops have closed.
That's a real shame to hear :(
st austell has been extremely busy this last year, its doing really well at the moment
Lived there for 3 years and spent a lot of time in the centre (80s) but recognise hardly anything, changed a lot.
A nice addition to video would be screenshot of google maps inserted in corner.
Thanks for watching and thanks very much for your suggestion.
@@TVJourneys as in moving with you…live like. Not screenshot . U get me

Thank you for not talking. I find it very distracting .👍
