I had an operation 2 months ago, and was confined to bed. While laid up, I found U Tube. I like quite a few Vlogs, but I was addicted to yours! The Caddie, Buick, Mercury Studebaker, The Buick, The Oldsmobile!!!!!, Edsel, LTD Ford station wagon, Ford Pickup, Chev Convert, Camero white, Camero Yellow, Chrysler Imperial, El Camino, Pontiac, Tempest station Wagon, Caddie Convert, GMC Pickup, Chevy Belair, and all the Corvette's. Plus much more. I now have watched every blog you have, and gave a thumbs Up to every one of them. I love the corvettes, But the 50's and 60's cars, are my favorites. My Dad was a Pontiac man, a new one every year, from 58 till 66, when he switched to Caddies. I wish he would have saved one. Thank you and keep them coming! All the best, Mark
Crikey! Look at the length of that THING! Holy Cow! You know what the size of this behemoth says, "Gasoline 29.9 cents per gallon". At least in 1964 Texas.
Some time ago, I was at a dinner party and talking with a friend who is a chest surgeon and in the course of conversation mentioned my recent work changing a clutch "master" cylinder and the need to move some stuff out of the way. He interjected, "That's what we do!" So, there you go.
A cousin had one, just like this one, brand new. It had incredible air conditioning, my aunt would keep extra sweaters in the car for the non-Texans. Car was a real "boat" of sorts, definitely meant for interstate cruising. Haha, interstate highways were still being constructed in 1964.
That is a beautiful car I'm very happy for you it runs well to really runs good sounds like these carburetor work on it but the carburetor is a pretty new to me so I don't know congratulations enjoy it can't wait for the next video
If the floats are sticking you can take a hammer and tap in circular pattern (Not Hard) around the top edge of the carburator and the floats will settle and not flood the engine. Old school trick!
Nice. Job. Yea, sometimes you end up replacing everything before you are happy with the way it runs. Good work. This video will really help guys learn what to do when starting working on these old beauties. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Love them old caddies! Great job getting her going. I'm sure your four-legged assistants we're a big help for you also! PS... at some point of time catty put a fuel sender in the gas tank FYI. Thanks for sharing I was wondering what you did with the old girl.
Great looking old Caddy , she sure sounds great , glad to know she will be back on the road soon , looking forward to the next video on her , great job .
Back in the day, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, the quality of a Cadillac and its components, especially the engine was the best, built to last. Nice care. Clean it up, recondition the interior and it will look great.
What an excelent timing. I just got my (also white) 64 Cadillac Coupe De Ville ready aswell after 4 months. Had a knock but it turned out to be an exhaust manifold gasket leak. Rebuilt the whole engine before finding it out
Yep she'll need new soft lines, probably wheel cylinders, master cylinder, possibly front caliper rebuild if that thing has front disc brakes, etc. It's just a fact of life that rubber gets old and either swells up and gets either real soft or real hard. Didn't take a whole lot to get her to run, though.
Please check the “radio music” in the loud background. Some of us are deaf. And I thought it was noisy on my end. I was checking my hearing aid to see if it was messed up? Not sure you need a noise suppressor on your microphone? Great caddy, wish I had it!😀
Hey Ben , we have similar taste Vettes and Caddys I own my family since new 1986 Coupe Deville, 96 C4 Vette . In the past I owned a 76 Coupe Deville with a 500 as big as your 64 429 beast ! wheelbase 64 129.5 inches 76 Coupe Deville 130 inches
Congratulation for the progress so far. I see I am not tthe only one that has fuel issues with a classic GM fullsize. My nearly perfect 65 Bonneville Convertible with less than 70000 miles ran perfectly for years and years. But this summer after long trips from time to time it was starving with lack of fuel. Lines are clean, heavy duty fuel pump is brand new, filters, lines everything good. It runs like a champ, but from time to time the problem occurs again. I am afraid I have to remove the tank because maybe there is a screen that is somehow clogged with dirt.
My grandmother had her carport (a former chickenhouse) extended 4 feet after she bought her '64 Cadillac. The carport is still standing, despite a tree smashing one corner.
I'm sure by the time you're done, this car will be a wonderful driver!! By the way, how's the progress on Jasmine's Pontiac?? It's been awhile since I've seen it. 👍👍
Hello from Pennsylvania. I'm very jealous your wearing shorts & a t-shirt !! Right now it's 27° at my house. Nice old Caddy! How your wife's Pontiac doing? You haven't shown it in a while.
What is that component with the splitting crack at 3:32? Looks like the lower control arm, but I’m guessing not since it’s pretty obvious and you didn’t say anything about it.
Ben, that carb looks pretty new. I was surprised then when you concluded it was the carb at fault. Why does it look so good? Had you cleaned it? (Btw next morning @ 12 mins. you have a very easy to hear Mockingbird! love it!!)
LOL re the owner's manual. As Jay Leno says, the owner's manual used to have all sorts of useful info. Now they just say "Consult your dealer," and "CAUTION: DO NOT DRINK CONTENTS OF BATTERY."
I have a 64 cadillac I need a passenger front fender, does anyone have one possibly the lower part of that front bumper below headlights passenger side?
Beauty! They just don't build 'em like they use too.

Hope you are recuperating well Mark.
The car is a beautiful. Nothing better than fender skirts and fins.
Back when a Cadillac meant something, the ones today are an insult to the name
I wish they would go back to actually naming their cars. The alphabet soup they use now is ridiculous.
You are a great mechanic, just in case no one has ever told you. I LOVE seeing an old Cadillac being taken care of. Hope to see more! Thanks.
Wow, that things in good condition
Going to be a sweet ride again .
Nice!!! I love those "Cadillac" valve covers
That car is so original-looking, mint! & Those seats wow... That thing sure is a BOAT.
That’s a real special car, glad to see it being put back to running condition so it can live on. 👍
60's Cadillacs are great. Used to own a '67 Coupe Deville. High quality cars that were surprisingly fast/quick for their size.
Good to see this gem get the star treatment. White Cadillacs with red interior are very classy. The 67’-68’ are my favorite years of all.
Great video!! 👍
Thanks for your Video
I love the old Cadillac
Sound is like Christine 🤓
Crikey! Look at the length of that THING! Holy Cow! You know what the size of this behemoth says, "Gasoline 29.9 cents per gallon". At least in 1964 Texas.
Beautiful 😍 that’s a keeper!!! Body looks solid!!!!!!! That’s worth some work and moneys!!!!!!!!!!!!
So many 'one man bands' go under because people don't charge (enough) for their own time. Great mechanic - smart businessman.
In all of its glory, the proverbial "BOAT".
As a Cadillac driver I approve this
May have been a short voyage but it's ALIVE!!!!!!! Good job 👍
man i miss my 73 thunderbird love that car

That thing is so cool! I know you can't wait to take the wife to town in that beauty! 👍🇱🇷
Great to see Merv Australia
The 1964 is my favorite.
Great job on this beautiful car

A dream machine, love it ❤️ a truly awesome classic American car/ 👌 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

1:08 Looks like front drum brakes.

Nice rush at 14:36. I had a 63 Coupe.
Such a beautiful car. I wonder how many old cars got crushed just because of carb problems.
nice car !! hahah too nice to fit inn most garages !!
My grandmother had her carport (a former chickenhouse) extended 4 feet after she bought her '64 Cadillac. The carport is still standing, despite a tree smashing one corner.
Excited!!
Would love tonsee more videos like this one Ben. How's your wife's car coming along?
I'm sure by the time you're done, this car will be a wonderful driver!! By the way, how's the progress on Jasmine's Pontiac?? It's been awhile since I've seen it. 👍👍

Dust shield

Outside appearance has nothing to do with working condition
A valve job might be a good idea too.
LOL re the owner's manual. As Jay Leno says, the owner's manual used to have all sorts of useful info. Now they just say "Consult your dealer," and "CAUTION: DO NOT DRINK CONTENTS OF BATTERY."
That should have taken care of at least half the fresh gas you put in the tank.
She's a beauty
Why do you keep the Gray Blob in the garage?
Because loading two kids in car seats in the rain and cold isn’t my idea of fun.
That engine has been painted. Originally caddy blue is a lot darker shade
You could just about throw a Fiat 500 in the trunk for emergencies in that land yacht.
I have a 64 cadillac I need a passenger front fender, does anyone have one possibly the lower part of that front bumper below headlights passenger side?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What model is that Cadillac?
Better change that oil again!
thats hawt
So the old carb wasn't the problem??
Its maiden voyage, not it’s. It’s means it is. Its is a possessive .
If its that old change the thermostat.
