After 12 years of kiting many styles including, twin, surf, strapless, foil, plank.. I'm back to quality over quantity and I'm back to the future with my twin tip and freestyle and loving it. After all, there's nothing quite like the feel of throwing down with my twin tip in 20kts of wind. That being said, any day under the kite is a good day.

How much time are you spending on the water with your set up ?
Again a great video. I like both. Twin-tipping feel the power and get the kick if jump. Foiling enjoy the freedom to ride anywhere I want, explore all areas.

Thank you for the discussion and video. I tell people that I kiteboard and kitefoil with 9m and 7m kite. I haven't bought a 12m kite the last two seasons because I do Wingfoiling now to replace 12m kite conditions. I have so much love for all these watersports and love to hear the journey and riding styles that the community enjoys.

If u have money u can kite whenever and wherever u want, like Ben... I lost my job because of covid, I don't work since April 2020, didn't kite this year at all, zero, because couldn't afford to get to any spot around my hometown, to pay my friends even for gasoline to get there. Good times ended. Poverty got me

Hydrofoils are great, but they aren’t without their problems.I bought a hydrofoil a few weeks ago. Only had 7 or 8 sessions with it so far. I have sessions where I come back with a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. But I also have bad days like the last time i I went out, when the board slips through the lines I get wrapped up ,lines catch on the Mast and the wings, it all goes wrong and I get the awful feeling of “this might be the day it all ends” as I struggle to keep my head above the water. I almost jettisoned everything: board, kite, and lines. I’m just glad it was only 10 -12 knots and my last ditched attempt to free the lines worked out

I can feel you a lot and of course there is something new to control. But aswell I thing every start of a new sport is a hard one, remember back in the days when you startet kitesurfing.
I can remember I had problems launching my kites and every session started with that feeling.
I‘m pretty sure after spending more time on your foil you know how to handle it and you seriously can enjoy it.
My hydrofoil is like my girlfriend, it took me years to understand it and it still surprises me from time to time... 😂

I actually think Foiling benefits TT. It is actually helping out with your kite control and flying skills on a Twin tip because there is so little margin for error. Especially going strapless. My level and control drastically improved on my Twin tip doing Big Air since I started foiling because TT seems "easier" asI am more used to it so I am pushing myself even more.

Hast du den 15er Nexus bei den CIT Anknüpfungspunkten auf Freestyle getrimmt? Oder hast du alles auf Werkseinstellungen gelassen?

Den 15er habe ich wie folgt angeknüpft:
-Fronttube im Standard setting (mitte)
-Tips auf schnell/wenig bar druck (aussen)
Ben i have a question. I noticed you ride the gts and not the xr. Me myself ride the gts4 in 7m and 9m. I ride now for 2 years and the gts is my favorite kite but i just started jumping. However when i see reviews of the gts they all say its a kite for looping amd not so much for freeriding or freestyle ,Till i run in to your videos you do everything with them. So my question is why is the gts your weapon of choice? because idon t see you loop so much. Keep them comming love the videos . With regards Jethro 🤙
Hey Jethro,
thank you for your question regarding the gts. I mainly use the gts6 for freeride/freestyle/foil because it‘s a super diverse kite. It always used to be the freestyle kite of Core, in cause of his aggressive but safe kiteloops there was a time many riders choosed it for looping.
If I wonna go big or loop my kite i ride a XR, I prefere the performance of it in strong wind...

Usually yes, I personal rarely ride the 12. As I‘m a heavy rider...
I have 9 12 en after 12 i take the 16m. I am wondering if a13.5 brings some extras to me?
