Information from Wikipedia: The #housesparrow (#Passer #domesticus) is a bird of the #sparrow family #Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. A small bird, it has a typical length of 16 cm (6.3 in) and a mass of 24-39.5 g (0.85-1.39 oz). Females and young birds are coloured pale brown and grey, and males have brighter black, white, and brown markings. One of about 25 species in the genus Passer, the house sparrow is native to most of Europe, the #Mediterranean region, and much of Asia. Its intentional or accidental introductions to many regions, including parts of #Australia, #Africa, and the #Americas, make it the most widely distributed wild bird.
The house sparrow is strongly associated with human habitations, and can live in urban or rural settings. Though found in widely varied habitats and climates, it typically avoids extensive woodlands, grasslands, and deserts away from human development. It feeds mostly on the seeds of grains and weeds, but it is an opportunistic eater and commonly eats insects and many other foods. Its predators include domestic cats, hawks, owls, and many other predatory birds and mammals.
Because of its numbers, ubiquity, and association with human settlements, the house sparrow is culturally prominent. It is extensively, and usually unsuccessfully, persecuted as an #agriculturalpest, but it has also often been kept as a pet, as well as being a food item and a symbol of lust and sexual potency and commonness and vulgarity. Though it is widespread and abundant, its numbers have declined in some areas. The animal's #conservationstatus is listed as least concern on the #IUCNRedList.

Thank you so much, my parents passed away recently, this really comforts me
I have them come to my bird feeders with their fledglings.
Wow...ok
May They Rest In Peace! 💖
❤
I’m sorry for your loss😢
I had once found a baby sparrow, I took him home but he was just too scared and was not eating a thing, but this video really helped me to feed him. Thanks for this video.
Ap nai us chideya ka kay kiya
Because an hum nai bi ek chideya mile wo bi kuch kha nahi rahi hai
I also found a baby sparrow but I don't know what food should I give him/her. Please help me 🙏
Keep in mind that they're invasive and not native.
I played this and this one bird(I named him bob), he would come and not leave, he seemed genuinely convinced there was another bird there
Got a house swallows attention with this vid. She won't stop chirping at me now lol.
@@fritzmusic p oh I’m no up l I’m

I play this video, and one sperrow come at my home...... amezing
I'm holding a baby house sparrow I found. She seems to perk up listening to this=)
This video helped me save a sparrow from my store today thank you so much for the upload, saved lil guys beak!
My budgies started to sing their hearts out to this whilst I was also caring for an injured house sparrow 🥰
I hope the house sparrow isn't an invasive species where you live. They kill native songbirds here in North America
Rescued a baby house sparrow but it flew away and I lost it inside the house. This helped me find it
I hear this every. Single. Day.
When I go to school, when I come back home... They're everywhere in the city
Dragon empress Which city? We used to have loads in outer London up to the 1970's. Then the local authority cut down all the street trees :(
@@angebrowne1730 there’s a shit ton of them here in Las Vegas.
This voice very beautiful working for my sparrow
I’m holding my rescue sparrow. He’s answering the calls!
I'm playing this for a baby sparrow my grandmother found that I'm going to care for.
I played this sound and I was sorrounded by sparrow and some of them was throwing grass at me from their nest and I was shocked to see the results of playing this sound 😁 amazing work
Can't wait to play this for the sparrows at my window
Thanks, hope it was useful
@@SoumosBirdbook sure it will be useful

I’m using this to try and get a bird outa my kitchen
I let my budgerigar sit outside in the summer in his cage and he's starting to imitate the local house sparrows lol
F O U R 💖
Mine used to do that, I'd sit her cage outside in the sun, she used to love that.
My bird millie listens to this and chirps to it all day : )
my sparrow is looking everywhere trying to find them😂
I love this sound flooding my kitchen when I open the window every day. Such comical little birds, I love sitting in the conservatory watching them fumble about and have dog fights mid air like fighter jets. Blink and you will miss their display 🥰
Fount a baby sparrow,it didnt eat except when i give him food, ofcourse because he is a baby, but when i played this in front of his little house i made,he started eating without me,and also when i got him he didnt even move,he was just sitting in one place and look at him now!oh you cant because he flied away to my moms little tree .amazing sound i love it
Nothing like the sweet sounds of nature like the sparrows chirping.
I agree. Thank you so much
@@SoumosBirdbook I love birds
My two House Sparrows love listening to this.. they start chirping their happy little tunes. I love having them in my office!!
I have a bird living in the roof of my house and I played this with volume.
It poked its head out and started responding!
This is so cool!
Thank you so much my dad and brother and I saved a baby bird (leg broke) so we tried calling the parents of this bird
I played this near the open window where a couple sparrows were, just to see what would happen and like 10 more came immediately within a few seconds. I quickly turned it off! They're still there!
O no! I just played this, and 2 of the sparrows I feed on my balcony landed on the rail and cheeped.
I know they heard. :)
I put this video for my pet baby sparrow to watch and she loves it. She thinks it's her mom talking to her. Amazing vid for sparrows ?😀😀😀 5 out of 5 experience for sparrows
What does pet baby sparrow eats
Dog kibble soaked in water til it's soft. Mixing in banana baby food is good also. Don't feed them mashed up earthworms because it's toxic to nestlings. Feeding them insects is not good since they'll get constipated. They don't get insects and water until they start flying.
This beautiful sparrow has made such a difference to my garden because I get so many come to feed.
Thank you little sparrow, you are helping me a lot 💘💘💘.
We are having fires all around us and two sparrow flew in to the gragrage so I played this to calm them down.
I seem to have more sparrows than any other birds.
Yes, collard pigeons and woodpigeons are always around, but finches and fits are nowhere to be seen.
Bought all types of feeders and seeds as well as mealworms and fatballs.....just hope that the variety of birds will come soon.
THANK YOU! THIS GOT MY RESCUE SPARROW TO EAT :O
Mine as well!😊❤🐥
I played this and my baby sparrow began chirping loud and flapped his wings fast. What does it mean?
omg 10-15 sparrows came after playing this on my speaker in my garden 😍
Good to know that
It's really happen with me 😍😍
Yes
Just rescued a little house sparrow. It hasn’t been eating much since I had it so I thought playing this might encourage it. I’m hearing little pecking sounds in his cage :D
Hi I run my own wildlife rescue, primarily of orphaned baby song birds, especially sparrows.
What type of food are you feeding ?
I prefer Kaytee brand handfeeding formula for baby (seed eating, not insectivore) birds.
Also remember, absolutely no straight liquids by hand. When they're old enough, they'll drink from a shallow dish on their own.
Handfeeding a baby bird straight liquids will result in aspiration pneumonia if the finder is inexperienced.
Remember as well, that as babies, they must eat hourly all day long from sun up to sun down.
Baby birds will naturally quiet down and sleep through the night.
But they must resume an hourly feeding schedule as soon as the sun rises. Typically around 5am
Good luck I hope you were able to do right by the little baby
Thank you
It was considered a pest in 80s/90s India, pesky chatterbox birds that would build nests in human habitation, create mess....now that they are hardly see (pesticide, epidemic, don't know), people miss them, want to say sorry, and want them to come back😞😭😭. Vultures have nearly totally vanished too.... Don't take any usual creature like crows, pigeons, sea gulls, robins, sunbirds etc. for granted.... they may be pesky, but part of us...
I have put a bird feeder in my balcony but no sparrows have seen it as of it. Will this sound attract them to the bird feeder?
Probably not the intention, but this helps me thin them out around the house. Always great to give the native birds here in America a break from hosp.
How do you use it to thin them out? I caught a male in a pillowcase over the birdhouse it was nesting in.
Sakoon Mila💖💖
I had a sparrow who made a home under my air conditioner. Was here for 2 years. Sang from 4am on. 3 days ago, the singing stopped. My husband called him "Chirpy", yesterday I played this outside the window and 4 other sparrows came over almost immediately. They just kept looking under the air conditioner and back at me. I have fed the birds my entire life so they are used to me. They just listed for 3 minutes while it played. It was something special, I can't really put it into words. I don't know what happened to "Chirpy", we did have a violent storm 3 nights ago. I just don't know.
Sparrows live 2-3 years in the wild. It was probably just time for Chirpy to move on from this lifetime. I hope you have a new bird to befriend soon! Much love.
@@Ultrasilvam what about sparrows that are raised by humans? I have one sitting next to me rn we rescued when she was very small
@@unknown-mn9wo They will also fly away. I had 2 in my home they fell from their nest and when they grow up they flew away.
@@unknown-mn9woLongest recorded home kept house sparrow is 21 years. They seem to average the life of a cat when indoors, 12ish years. Nature cuts many lives short. I looked into it because I have a house sparrow I saved who is now 1 year old. He can be a loud bastard but I love him.
I got bombarded playing this outside!
I've played it twice and nothing I wish I would!!! Gonna keep trying!
Same here. Instead they entered my room.
@@joemitchell1330 , u7
Same! There’s a ton of them in the bushes at my house and I put it on a speaker and they all came right next to it
I play this to my Sparrows
I cannot remember seeing a sparrow in Port Macquarie NSW Australia. I grew up with that sound and seeing them all the time when I lived in Mataura New Zealand - I miss them and the noise they made. Thank you for this
Used this to let the birds know the feeders are out haha. It worked.

I'm trying this rn and haven't seen a single sparrow 😥

@@mattle841 do it same time, each day. They WILL come
Ok update! I saw the house sparrows eating at the food i.left out! But when i tried to get near to watch they flew away so.i went back in the house. I waited but They didny come back so i played this and they went back! Awesome!
Sounds great but
It's not call of ~a~ house sparrow but call of house sparrow~s~
Playing this to lure all the lil house sparrows Infront of my camera and it works a treat!
I have a house sparrow named chicken. I got him as a baby, two days old. He had a broken leg and fell from very high up. He’s 9 months now and we are best friends. He lives in a fish tank and refuses other larger enclosures. It’s his home. I take him out several times a day and normally just sits on my arm or shoulder and will fly when he wants to. Best bird ever.
Relaxing stuff.Love it
I play this sound cause I have a house sparrow and it is slowly singing with it
❤️ sparrow ❤️😘
Thanks 😊
I love canaries, finches, wrens, sparrows and robins the most, I love nature, there is nothing more beautiful than the creation of Almighty God, ALHAMDULILLAH (all the praises and thanks be to Allah), that's exactly what the animals are doing, they are worshipping Almighty God in their own way in all respect...
🙏 peace upon you. Enjoy your day
Amazing....two sparrows are coming near my window i love it👍🏻👍🏻
A whole group of like 30 sparrows is nesting near my window in the garden... I don't love it.
It may be nice to see them once in a while but that is a bit too much and too loud for me... I mean they start 'singing' furiously pretty early in the morning and they don't care that much if u want to sleep a bit more.
I play the sound Front on my dog and it was Shouted on the voice 🐕
Nice👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Thank you :)
I paly this sound when sparrow cames to my window to eat rice
Ugh I hate house sparrows, fucking annoying invasive specie and they’re call is so horribly annoying.
This was just chirping as all birds do. It's not their song. I watched and listened to one in my backyard and it's song is pretty.
Well if you’ll read the title, it doesn’t say song it says “call.”
Cool
OMG !!! i started to play this video for the sparrow which is a little far away from me and it came into my room and started to chirp and wandered here and there it thought that where is this sound came from. continuously it was asking that where are you? by it's loud chirp .I further did volume up after 2 minutes another sparrow came into my room and finally both of them flew away. It gave me a wonderful feeling that i never felt before thank u so much......
Since the quaratine i saw birds come to our back yard and peck on the dogs left overs... I thought id leave some food out for them cause im afraid my dog will get them ( the birds sometimes go in the dog's house). There are some turtle doves and house sparrows but they won't go near the food so I'll try to use this
There are few birds in my area and they came near my house and now they are not going away from here by this sound
*I remember this sound so well. as a boy. I used to wake up to the sound of their cheerful cheeps & chirps.... every morning, it was just so much a part of everyday life... NOW... They’ve disappeared from the majority of all our villages, towns & cities... because of electromagnetic fields, caused by electricity & microwave radio & TV frequencies... generated by Cell & TV masts all over the UK. These technologies are the single biggest environmental disaster affecting all life on Earth & they’re slowly killing us all..! THINK ABOUT THAT..!* 🤔
Thaq u so much to connect my lost memory
So happy to hear that!
Lot of birds came in my house 😆😆🤣
Dead ass one of these MF screamed at me and then gave me the meanest side eye ever💀
my cat bought a sparrow into my house and we tried to help it but it ran under my washing machine so i’m playing this to try and law it out
Did it work?
today my Sparrow is killed by one cat . she wa is sitting in his Neat with her 3 chiks all had been killed i am literally Broke up today 😭😭😭 i want to cry So loud 🎭🎭😭😭😭
I am so sorry to hear that. 😥
You'd think they're quarrelling
As soon I played this birds started flying everywhere
Used this to play to the flock of house sparrows to let them take the fallen fur from my malamute... took it from my hand!
Great to hear that!!
If you live in North America, and you hear this, it is an invasive species. House sparrows were brought over here by the English over 100 years ago to be songbirds, but they don't sing they just squawk! They are a problem for the nests of native species, and they are very tricky to visually identify because of all the native sparrows that also live here. If you think you see a house sparrow nest in North America you should let a biologist know
The birds coming in my home
I just had a conversation with a sparrow on my power lines from your video 😂😂😂 I have no idea what we were talking about 😂😂😂😂😂
There's a lot of these in Montreal, today we put up a birdhouse and hopefully they make a nest in it.

Hi Shaurya, the bird will be all right, do not worry

I know I am late so sry but just so you know keep the bird warm and try calling a wildlife protection thing. The literal same exact thing happened to me
I played this and 1 bird came but didn't know where the sound was coming from but he kept on following my phone
I did this and a sparrow outside got so confused
Just attracted like 6 different birds including a red cardinal and a woodpecker in NB, Canada!
I'm rasing a baby sparrow and he ran and hid then he started squeaking when I played this
I love this one, every time I play it all the birds in the area come and listen, 👍

It's working 🤭🤭🤭
I play this sound and more bords come to our home.....🎶( my mom like this sound ) thank for this
I kept some food for the sparrow but they don't eat it I will try this song and see that it comes or not
I have been seeing and hearing a really beautiful bird song. This is what I really want to know, what's the name of the bird? I tried searching her on google and this is like the fifth or fourth times. I cannot just find it! Your channel name holds the attention which is "Birdbook" and maybe you might know about the bird? They have a fan-like tail that could fold into two. They are black but with white from their cheeks down underneath their tails. They rarely sing during daytime but mostly at night to dawn. Trust me, they are NOT nightingales neither magpies. I am really desperate of knowing them😭. I have asked the Lord God about it and maybe you would? Please reply💖 Thank you💖❤💖
first time it really worked😄
I just rescued a house sparrow and I played this now he’s moving everywhere 😭😭
I love house sparrows were I live I have lots of them on my bird table usually about one or two males and a few female!
