Thanks for the review and nice to see you here Aaron, I actually had one for a day with an iPhone 15 Pro, changed the phone for a 15 Pro max model because of battery life. I’m getting one discounted to $15 lol from my Phone provider even though initially I didn’t like the feel compared to leather but I’ll give it another go.
I have the black and mulberry and I hit them both with a fabric protector spray like scothgard and that has made it so liquids bead off the case now instead of absorbing. It darkened the mulberry slightly so keep that in mind. If you have a dark color case defiantly give it a try
@@KaziIslam now after looking at the mulberry after 24 hours to dry it looks like it’s come back to its original color. The taupe might be the toughest to gauge since it’s the lightest but it may be worth a shot still
Interesting comments you made about case being slippery in some situations. I like the Apple leather cases as with age they absorb oil. I even oil them a bit with baby-oil in order to give them extra nourish and by adding kind of stickiness, but not much since thin leather does not absorb so much. This gives me more secure grip especially when making photos outside. I was considering such Taupe case with matching wallet, as on paper it seems nicest combination - but rather expensive so I'm considering it back and forth. However your comments about lack of grippiness make me consider the silicone Clay case for Natural Titanium Pro. As others I'm not a big fan of silicone since those make the phone more bulky and just not feel so nice, and get chipped over time. Thanks for your short term usage review.
Yeahh I used to love the leather cases for the comfortable grip, it wasn’t a tacky grip like rubber or sticky silicone. Felt organic. I’ve been on vacation for a few days now using the finewoven case and can confirm that it’s still slippery. That being said I think I still prefer it overall to silicone and think it’ll hold up better as far as durability despite looking like worn fabric
One of the things people raved about with the leather is they “age” over time and that gives each one a unique look. But when it comes to the fine woven, they talk like the way it shows marks, makes it trash. I just find that odd.
@@denisepaige2314it’s a good point, and I think it has to do with the material itself. If you had a well worn t shirt or old stained jeans it might not look as appealing as a quality pair of old leather boots
Someone on here told me a trick to clean it with Dawn soap and a toothbrush and water and that air dry, and it actually cleaned it and made it look very brand new and got the scratches out
Very nice review. I will probably pass on the Fine Woven case. I really liked the Apple leather cases. I can vouch for the Torras screen protector. Had one on iPhone 13 Pro and immediately put one on my 15 Pro. I think they are one of the best screen protectors out there.
I have the mulberry and have been using it a couple weeks. I actually really like this case. The only thing I have noticed is that it is a little difficult to take off. I am using it with a MagSafe pop socket which I think helps with the grip. The magnet from the pop socket does leave an impression on the case but it goes away with a light swipe. The impression doesn’t stay.
Great review. You answered several questions that I had about this case. In your opinion which of the fine woven cases would look best with the white titanium iPhone?
With the white titanium being a very neutral clean color I think you can’t go wrong with any case color. I personally like the green this year or blue with the white, the colors are deeper than the box suggests and a clean look as well
Yeahh I’ve stopped buying apple silicone cases and have always gone leather with a cheaper tpu type case as a backup for times I want something more rugged or I know my phone will get wet etc. not thrilled with finewoven so far but not sure I wanna go silicone instead
The staining worried me and then I thought about it, perhaps the variation in colour depth could actually look nice after a whilst, perhaps synonymous to being a bootleg version of a leather patina? Unsure, still not sure if I want this case.
Oh when I put my 15pm into the 14pm leather case it’s definitely way too loose imo, and the action button doesn’t line up properly with the mute switch cutout. It’s doable but you’re missing out a bit on the slightly smaller dimensions of the newer cases and risking the phone flying out of the case if you ever drop it
i have the clear magsafe case for the 15 pro max aswell, but ive been using the 14 pro max leather case on it for like 3 days and it really doesnt bother me that much, however i do see the phone maybe falling out on like a drop and I did make the hole for the action button bigger to make pressing it easier, i think im just a big fan of the apple leather case and i dont wanna let go of it tbh lmao @@KaziIslam
@@KaziIslam Oddly I didn’t even have to clean it with anything. I just wiped it off with tissue and by the next day it was fine. It seemed like it didn’t absorb the oil. My guess is that the fabric is non-absorbent. So it can collect dust in the fibres but seems to get away with things like oil. At least that’s what happened on this occasion. Generally though I’ve had it since launch and I’ve not had to clean it apart from this one wipe down, it has no stains and only a few barely visible marks. Nothing more than I’ve had with other cases. Like you, I quite like the marks; it’s got its a little like a patina and makes it look more like a worn fabric. Maybe something like coffee could stain it due to the tannings? I think most of these reviewers are intentionally abusing the case for clicks.
I got the taupe color case for my phone and I am concerned about it starting to look dirty. It's inevitable that it will start looking that way. I am thinking I should have gotten the black one.
I’m concerned about the edges getting dark and grimy. I’m going to try brushing it clean in a week or so and will post the results. Hoping it cleans up nice
I purchased the taupe fine woven case for my titanium 15 Pro Max but immediately returned it when I saw how easily it gets scratched. I purchased a clear titanium case instead.
Excellent video! I’ve got the same case and didn’t feel it’s that bad at all. Quick question re Torras - did you find any issues with the touch sensitivity.. like even a ittle? I had the issue - time to time it will miss a tap/swipe, so I’ve returned it. Also it was covering some pixels ever so slightly as the protector is a little smaller than the iPhone screen
I haven’t had that issue yet. I do have a veryyy tiny bit of the screen blocked on the upper left edge. I’m not bothered by it, so I’m going to keep it as is. I’ve read online that they’re going to come up with a second version with thinner black borders, and I’ve heard good things about their customer service so might be worth emailing them about your issue
I refunded mine as when I hold the phone one handed, I found that bottom edge where the usb-c cut out is, was just nasty on my finger. I use my phone like that so didn't like that at all. I don't hate the material though, it's just something different and I do prefer leather. 👍🏻
I must admit I have this issue too. To be fair I think the FW cars have been unfairly treated but the cut out on mine has a slightly visible sharp edge that rubs over time.
On the iPhone 5 ans 5s and with the 12-14, it was possible to see a little bit of the glossy frame of the flat side of the phone with Apple's official Leather and Silicone cases. Is this not true anymore for the iPhone 15 series with their chamfered edged design? I can't really tell from this video.
This time the edge is less visible. You can see it but only if you look for it closely and I think all the phones being matte with no chamfered edges or shiny stainless steel it’s even less visible
I understand why Apple is making this change, but it’s sub-standard. It feels cheap and the price is unreasonable. When I buy a new iPhone ( I usually get the Pro models) I always buy one leather and one silicone case immediately. Over the year I end up buying more cases- both leather and silicone. Probably overkill but the point is I didn’t mind paying for the quality. I always thought the silicone cases was over-priced. But the leather I could justify. I would never spend this kind of money for this new case. It looks and feels cheap.
Yes! I typically use two cases as well, a leather and second one for more rugged instances where I know the phone will be submerged or otherwise abused and don’t want to damage the leather. This year I think I’ll be giving the finewoven and peak design case when they update to a version with a button
If you have access to an Apple Store often if you just politely ask a sales associate will make an exception for you and take the return. Can even try chatting with an Apple rep. I had luck once when I was a couple days over the return window
Anybody in there right mind should've known that cloth on phone cases is not a good idea, for the same reason that I rarely use the Briaded solo band on my watch, with skins oils and general dirt they get dirty way to easily and quickly..
You know what I won’t, a couple days after purchasing I had buyers remorse and decided it was an impulse purchase and I’m fine with my series 7 another year until next years 10 series (hopefully with some meaningful changes to the standard Apple Watch editions)

If you say this case can be slippery then definitely stay clear of the clear case. It’s extremely slippery and so I have returned it. Perhaps a silicon case would be a good choice.
😂 that’s not ugly that’s patina. Tbf though isn’t that most cases? All my family and friends that use silicone/tpu/other cases look beaten up over time. At least they’re easily replaceable 🤷🏾♂️
To be fair I absolutely wrecked my last leather case by catching it on a nail. It took a chunk out. Nails are strong and can cause a fair bit of damage.
How is it worn? Looks ok, just slight oil from hand and a MagSafe imprint. Exactly the same wear that you’d see on a leather case after a week. Not as resistant as silicone though, but if that’s what you like then buy silicone.
