I returned mine. It just scratches so easily and truthfully, it kind of feels like cheap plastic. I’ve always had a leather case from Apple and I’m really disappointed, but I wanted to give it a fair chance. I’m going third-party from now on.
@@PromotingTheBeat A case is there to protect the item it covers... What are you even talking about? Also, the FineWoven case scratches much easier than the iPhone itself.
@@PromotingTheBeat That’s the point. Apple chose materials for a “premium” phone case, that are not premium. They also still charge a premium price for them. So, of course they are expected to be more durable. They are simply worse than the cases they’re replacing. Obviously people are going to complain. It’s not rocket science.
Apple knew they had a problem with this case, in my opinion. I read that they didn't even have them displayed at the iPhone event! You had to ask to see them. And there are photos going around showing that the Apple Store Staff have to actually switch the floor samples out for new ones since they get dirty and yucky so quick! YIKES!!! They may need to come down with the price on these cases. I see a LOT of vendors putting these on sale just to try and get them out the door!
@@PvtAnonymous In the end, you may well be correct! I mean, the cases LOOK very nice! But I do fear that they will turn out to be not very durable, and will not develop a patina similar to how the leather cases do. And don't forget these cases are leather case prices which means you will get less for your money! I think they should be at least $10 less than the price they are now.
These fine woven cases make me think of the alcantara keyboards the Surface had a while back. They’re just going to absorb finger oils and not in an interesting leather patina style, but in a “this looks gross” style
I thought of Surface 'cloth' look when I first saw the Fine Woven case. Yeah, I'll skip this one. Though I've never bought an Apple-branded case before, so.... Nothing to see here for me, actually......
The Surface alcantara keyboards have a rubber coating on them. Your hands never touch the bare alcantara. Apple should have put some kind of coating on these to not only protect them but make them water resistant too.
So, I got this case and so far I love it, at first I was worried about the scratching, but after having it in my pocket for a while any scratches I purposefully made are gone. It seems like itll wear to the point it looks really nice over time!
I just got the Andar Aspen in Technically Red on my 15 Pro Max and it not only looks awesome, I can tell the leather’s going to hold up great. The design is a great replacement for Apple’s leather cases.
I sent mine back. I've had Apple cases for years - loved the leather cases. Now, I'm using a 3rd party case this year. The woven case is not my cup of tea.
I mistakenly ordered a non MagSafe compatible case from Amazon, and I didn't want to wait for them to ship another one. So, I went to the apple store and got the FineWoven case. In my experience the Apple silicone case does not hold up more than a year and I won't spend $50 on it and I don't like clear cases. I must say I do like the feel of the back & edges and it does look nice. However, it should be priced at $40 and the silicone & clear cases should be no more than $30. But of course, we have to pay the Apple tax, so they can virtue signal about saving the planet.
BRO, Apple doesn’t tell you what to do, they OFFER their products. They want THEIR operations, and products, to be carbon neutral. You are open to buy leather, plastic or whatever case, even in their store, or next door. People treat Apple way too seriously, says me, the biggest fanboy who visited 25 stores.
Why would you market a fabric as replacement for leather? Artificial leather is a thing. For one, you can wipe down leather and artificial leather. You can’t give FineWoven a proper cleaning like you can with leather and artificial leather.
Im just angry they got rid of leather for totally non sensical reasons. Also if that was the true problem, there have been huge advancements in synthetic vegan leather, they could totally have replaced their leather accessories with their take on it.
@@DrPrepZillaYou‘re right, but there are very interesting alternatives by now, which Apple could’ve opted for. One example is the MacBook Pro sleeve by „von Holzhausen“, which is made from recycled plant fibres.
@@DrPrepZilla Why though? they still sell their silicone and clear cases. plastic is easily recyclable or made with recyclable. lust like leather is a byproduct of the food industry.
@@ExBenzi2 There's also Mirum, which is used in number of Bellroy products. BMW is said to be offering it as an upholstery option in their vehicles this year as well.
There is actually a product "apple-leather" made from apples(I think they use the fibres). It feels really nice and leathery-like. I cant get my head around why apple wouldn't use that...
Why’s it still $99? And the sides are plastic. I returned mine the same day it came in. I don’t like how it felt. Also wish I knew this was happening because the leather links were the only watch bands I used which is hard to find a dupe. The leather phone case is easy to find alternatives for.
It is going to attract skin oil and dirt like a magnet. All fabric does this in a case. See the soft backing of iPad covers after 6 months being used as a stand.
I don’t know I love this case. I’d rather have the leather for sure, but I love the way the back feels and the sides feel great in hand too. Now talk to be in a month if it’s all marked up, but my leather cases were too so
I got the black FineWoven wallet for my 14 Pro and like it a lot! The texture is cool to me, but I shouldn’t have to be careful with a $59 so that it doesn’t get scratched.
Mine scratched literally as I took it out the box and it’s already dirty, I kid you not I’ve had it for less than a week and its already darkening on the edges. I love the wallet but I’m pretty mad I spent 65 dollars and it’s not holding up 1 week!!!
I’m returning my fine woven case. I’m fine to ditch leather. It feels nice in the hand, but I worry about durability and stains. For what I’m paying it better last. This isn’t that product. I’ll be switching to a third party leather case. Sorry Mother Nature.
I like the fine woven case and so far I've had 0 issues with damage or scratches. I bought the black case and so far it doesn't show fingerprints. I'll admit it doesn't feel premium like leather but it doesn't feel cheap either. I've had it in my pockets, on my dresser, and in the cup holder in my car and it's held up. There is refund policy of 2 weeks
@@ruski77...I'm satisfied with my purchase. Last year I bought the clear case and that thing was always dirty and showed visible scratches. Fine woven is upgrade from that so I'm good
As much as I love the move to being more sustainable, I’m bummed they’re discontinuing leather. I would love to see a comparison of your top leather cases. I’ve had leather cases for years and I’m not sure who to go with now.
It doesn’t feel anywhere near as premium as the old leather cases but if it was half - 3/4 the price of leather I think I’d be satisfied. I have the green one. On the phone it does feel nice and soft, it slides in and out of my pocket nicely. I’m not sure how long it will hold up compared to my 12 pro max’s leather case that lasted almost 3 years. I am worried about staining. At some point I probably will switch to a third party leather case but I don’t think the fine woven is bad either.
They would have simply used man made leather/ leatherette or even plant based leather like some fashion companies do, taking away leather accessories completely wasn’t a good move…
I've had mine for 6 days. I have done zero babying of it and toss it on rough, uneven surfaces with edges etc. It has show zero wear until today. Today I found a tiny black stain on the edge of the back surface (my case is taupe colored) but I was able to get 95% of it out with just water and a paper towel... the only weird thing is when I touched the wet paper towel to the fine woven case the case soaked up the water incredibly fast (darkening until it later dries) and spreading WAY beyond the area I touched... it looked like the case was a paper towel you put on a water spill in your kitchen! Anyway... so far the case has done better than I expected, and I like the look and feel... but I still feel it is inevitable to get a stain or mark that won't come out and won't look nearly as nice as a patina in leather. I still think this was a mistake for Apple but I do think its a bit more tough than people claim.
The most important problem that i see is that the case will become dirty easily but it will not break aqs easy as people think because the material are of good quality. There is videos showing the strenght of this fabric.
I really like mine as well. I’ve had all kinds of leather. I currently have a Cartier wallet, among others. The green fine woven has a premium look to it as well. I accidentally got sauce on it and I was able to quickly clean it without leaving any marks either.
I have two things in mind on the subject. 1. The problem isn’t the material or even that leather is completely gone, I like the leather cases and even I’d be willing to switch to a newer and more sustainable material, but not for the same price. I don’t care how or why you decided to over engineer this new material or how durable it is, leather goods are expensive because of the manufacturing process and the quality. Call it what you want, most people will see their case and say it’s microfiber or cloth and prone to staining and discoloration. Drop the price a decent amount and then maybe people will not talk so loudly about the quality (or lack thereof) 2. People complaining about Apple trying to be the moral compass is an argument to be made, for sure. But at the end of the day; what you’re really mad about is that they got rid of leather and are overcharging you for a likely cheaper material to manufacture. There is NOTHING new about Apple telling its consumers what they want, should want, or even need. Apple has always done what IT thinks the consumers should want or need and ONLY that. Very rarely do they do things unless they absolutely have to (like adding USB-C). They definitely did not do that for you folks who wanted it so badly over the years. They did it because they had to. Plain and simple. Apple took away 3.5mm headphone jacks, took the charging bricks out of the boxes, gave us lightning (the Apple standard since the iPhone 5), and even now with the new USB-C phones, limit you to USB 2 speeds even for pro users unless you go out and buy a Thunderbolt cable or some 3rd party cable That’s capable of the ports potential. All of this is to say that as much as I am an Apple user and enjoy their products, people complaining about Apple doing whatever Apple wants to do is only now a problem because they did away with leather and are now charging the same for a less premium material.
I wanted to buy a Magsafe Wallet for my iPhone 13 mini and the blue FineWoven one was actually nice...as soon as I heard of the "problems" this material has (scratches are really bad aesthetically) I immediately went and bought a leather one...Apple has discontinued the product and you can't buy from them anymore but some retailers still has them..I was lucky to grab one of the few sequoia green leather wallets remaining. When in 3/4 years from now I will change my 13 mini for another iPhone I'm going with Bellroy, Blackbrooks or Bullstrap cases.
I suppose we now need clear vinyl covers for our FineWoven iPhone upholstery? 😏 I know it's a bit late, but I've just upraged to iPhone 13 Pro and learning about MagSafe accessories and such.
I love the feel of my new FineWoven case. Not sure how it will hold up aesthetically-but it feels good now - it’s new….I am also glad I have the leather wallet for my phone!
I like it too. I can’t understand the controversy. That said, I did get it in the apple store and the first one I got didn’t line up with the power button. I swapped it out and the new one works great. Feels solid, looks nice, and it feels solid in my hand.
I love the buttons so much, but I worry about longevity. I mean, for example, I inspect my hands each time I touch my phone because I am scared to stain my new case and wallet. I also attached an accessory with strong magnets and it left marks of the magnet ring. It does not bother me that much, because the wallet will always be attached to the phone. Time will tell if it lasts. My iPhone 12 had the leather case for 3 years !
Went to pick up a case for my Iphone15pro, and even the apple team members was criticizing the Finewoven case. The cases on the wall were full of fingernail scratches. Bought a leather case from a third party instead.
I do like Apple bring out more environmental sound accessories, but with a price of £59, it was a sure way to get backlash for these cases. At that price along with the publicity you expect it to be better than the leather cases. A lower price could have tempered expectations and received a more positive response.
I must say that FineWoven has grown on me over this last year. At first I was disappointed, but then I watched a video on RUclips with a guy who took a bath with his FineWoven case and after the bath it looked like brand new. I tried it and, man, it works. I gave my FineWoven a schampoo-treatment and it came back looking as new. When the iPhone 16 was released, all of the 15 Pro Max cases dropped to an affordable price and I bought all colors for about 200 dollars. Give your FineWoven case a spa treatment! I also like the soft touch.
Chris, Solid video as always!! I have had a chance to get my hands on the new FineWoven case and was unimpressed. I’ve spent the past two years with the Apple Leather Case and Wallet and absolutely love them. They have been protective while giving the Premium look and feel. I’d love for you to make a comparison video that you mentioned in your video because I have 3 weeks to make up my mind on my next case before my new 15 Plus arrives. Cheers, John
Getting rid of leather is a good move but surely they could have made something better than Finewoven? I went to the Apple Store day of iPhone 15 launch and some of the finewoven cases were already scratched
You hit the nail on the head @DailyTekk, what does Apple want us to want. Yes, I own an iPhone 14 Pro Max, but only because of the crash detection and the emergency satellite messaging. But I'm still an Android user at heart. I hate it when a company says, "This is what you want", I instantly don't want it.
I don’t really understand this anti-leather initiative. Ethical tanneries exist that could have supplied Apple with the leather for their products. The Mother Nature skit just seemed like a way to fill minutes in what would otherwise have been a rather lackluster keynote.
Vegan Leather is an option a lot of car companies are replacing real leather with in their vehicles for all leather covered surface in the car interior. Why Apple did not think of that as a material for their what is called "premium" products!
I love real leather but I would’ve considered vegan leather if Apple did it. I just don’t understand why go with a non-premium FineWoven material.. I now bought the Mujjo full leather case and I love it 😍
Vegan leather is plastic. Even plant based is mostly plastic, so its carbon footprint probably isn’t small enough for apple to be able to meet its carbon neutral goals. For me, leather is a byproduct, most animals aren’t killed just for the skin. Until meat falls out of fashion we should use as much of the animal as we can. Veg tanned leather lasts a long time and can break down where a plastic case is going to sit in a landfill for who knows how long.
Add me to the list of leather case fans that hates this replacement lol. I’ve been buying 1-3 Apple leather cases every time I get a new iPhone, tried this one out and immediately didn’t like it. The look OR the feel. Returned the next day. Also, $59 is a crime for this thing. For real. If anyone is wondering which leather cases I ended up getting… I got one from nomad, and one from Andar. Both are really great. The only negative on the Andar cases they don’t have a button for the action button, it’s just a cut out, but the leather quality is fantastic. And I enjoy Nomad’s stuff in general all around.
which case are ya'll getting instead? I always rocked the leather one, ordered the finewoven one but returned it right away, currently on the clear case by apple...
The Apple online Store description of this case actually says it’s gonna „show marks and signs of use over time“ and say „if you don’t prefer that - stick with the silicone case“ - so I wouldn’t say they consider this a „problem“ rather than a „feature“, you don’t have to like it, but it’s definitely 100% not a mistake from Apple how it’s designed.
I never used cases generally, last one I used was the leather one for the X and stopped because, i like to have a natural feel to the phone. Got the 15 pro now and got the blue case ( because the 15's felt a lot more likely to slip from my hand than the X did ) with the Titanium natural one. I like the case, it does make a mark when putting it on the MagSafe ( for example ) but you rub it and it goes away. I don't know how people are already scratching it up so fast, why are you putting it in places that could scratch up anything so quickly in the first place?
I tried the fine woven case and returned it the next week. The Apple Store employee didn’t even question me or provide push back, they knew right away that case was trash. I’m now waiting on the updated Andar leather case. I also tried Mujjo’s leather case, but the back edges are way too sharp to hold in my hand comfortably.
I don’t know but I have the Blue WovenCase and so far I like the texture at the back when I’m holding the phone. Just feels good in my fingers but the only thing I don’t like is it’s a little dust magnet but can easily swipe off but still.
This case looks nice to me. I like the look of this finewoven fabric on a case. That being said I never used that kind of case. Fabrics are the most difficult to keep clean. I used Apple's leather cases and for the last 2 years I used their silicone cases. I like the satin feel of their silicone and the fact that it has alcantara like insides. Silicone is the easiest to keep clean and new-like for the long time. It's also cheaper than leather but that was never a factor for me when I was buying cases. I agree that Apple should leave the leather cases in their stores and add finewoven as a choice. People need a choice. It's not like Apple is the only one company making cases but again it's nice to be supplied the type of cases you prefer from the same company as your device comes from. I really do think their cases quality it great.
I don't understand what some people have against using leather. I'm unaware of cows being reared in large numbers for leather alone. Leather is usually a by product.
I can't say the scratches that happen soon after using leather is particularly appealing either, whether or not people try to convince me it's "part of the patina".
Just purchased the course. I look forward to giving it a spin. I’ve recently switched my company to all Macs so this comes at a perfect time for me. Btw, great podcast. Keep up the great work you’re doing.
As an animal lover, I am thrilled when any company phases out using animal body parts. Fine woven might suck, but that doesn’t mean that leather is the only other option.
Huge Apple leather case fan. I grabbed a Apple silicone case as a temporary solution for my 15 PM til I find a 3rd party that makes a good quality leather case
After many years with an older iPhone with the Apple leather case, I was so excited to pick up my new iPhone 15 Pro max. I immediately went to get a new apple case and was so disappointed to see they're not using leather. I did buy the fine woven case and I've been complaining about it to my wife for the past 2 days lol. I'll be getting a real leather case soon.
I’m very always bought the leather but I’m not purchasing this one. I always clean my case and iPhone ..you can’t sanitize this case verses leather or silicone or the plastic clear case. I may be buying a Nomad leather case but yes I would like to see you comparing leather cases from other companies! Also the fine women wallets aren’t adhering well to non fine woven cases. They also have woven AirTag accessories too apparently lol
the paradox in my mind right now is... I really like the leather case, and I'm one of those people who say stuff like "patina is beautiful" "leather is not so bad if you consider durability"... but tbh, I don't need a case to last 5 years because phones don't last that much... sooooo I'm just undecided
What sucks is that I was going to buy a new apple leather wallet a month ago not realizing Apple was going to remove them from the store altogether. Can’t even get them on Amazon or Target either anymore. 🤬.
The look and feel is great. I just don’t like how slippery it is. I always feel like I have to be extra cautious just holding my phone when a case should mitigate that concern. If they made the edge of the case out of a more rubbery texture it would be better.
Although I love the feel in my hand making my phone feel a bit cushiony and soft on the back; I showed my mother my new iPhone and her nails scratched it up so easily! I have three lines just from her using 3 fingers to feel the back.
TBH I don't really get concerned about my finewoven case getting stains and whatnot because I bought the black case and it hides that stuff really well. I'm more concerned about the side bumper of the case, which appear to be more like some manner of textured plastic. Good grip, seems sturdy, but the seam between the back fabric and bumpers seems like a weak point which might attract dirt and dust and might even tear apart if caught on something. I wouldn't have a problem if it were a 49USD case, but this is the premium case level and it feels kind of cheap.
I went with a third party silicone and leather case this year (Decoded). I have their silicone case for my 14 Pro and the quality was better than Apple's silicone and the price was like half of what Apple charges
I was thinking about getting the leather Andar Espen or Mujjo case. I went with the Mujjo because it had the actual action button with metal button. The Andar Espen has a cutout which is a huge dealbreaker for me. I would love to see you do a comparison video on the 4 leather cases you mentioned.
I got a Fine Woven wallet and I like it. It feels really high quality. Not sure what the fuss is. People can get leather accessories from 3rd party vendors
I am really happy with my FineWoven case and the watchband. So sorry to hear about all the struggles everyone else is having. I actually didn’t like the leather that much. For all the complaints about durability of FineWoven, the leather was just as bad or worse, so none of those complaints really resonate with me. It’s funny, I never would’ve thought to look for a screw next to the porthole if you hadn’t said it, but I saw it on my own phone and realized that I just totally don’t even care.
What you said at 35 seconds is exactly apples problem in general. Don't worry about what the customer actually wants, but rather, do what you want to do and then force the customer into accepting it.
Spot on. Many automotive brands have succeeded with replacing leather with vegan options that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. This option as tech innovative as it sounds is the wrong one
I think the problem is how the material reacts to damage that is the core of the problem. Beyond texture issues which are just in general difficult to work around because some people are just going to HATE the feel of certain materials no matter how premium they are. In the case of this "FineWoven" material, I think the way it handles damage is the issue. Scratches really highlight themselves, and become a glaring scar on the surface, and can be left behind by fairly light pressure of a fingernail. There are plenty of likely less durable but more wear friendly materials. a Light Denim for example isnt going to react so poorly to light scratches from your nails, or being haphazardly thrown in a bag with your keys, or in the same pocket as some change. But Denim will certainly wear overtime, and like a nice pair of Jeans, or jacket, the way denim wears gives it character. Staining could be an issue, but there are stain repelling 'coatings' and whatever that can be used in the manufacturing process to mitigate that issue for the most part. I personally Don't care for any of Apple's own cases. I feel they are grossly over priced for what they are. I can kind of give a pass for the leather, as leather is usually expensive, but even then, the thickness and actual grade of leather used I haven't really ever inspected too deeply. I can admit that leather genuinely wears nicely and as long as you care for it properly will age great. I personally stick to cases meant to let my phone take more of a beating. Not because I am rough with my stuff, but because I have a lot of out of my control events that could befall my device over the course of its lifetime. Before I even power on a new flagship device, it's already been wiped down, and had a quality screen protector installed, and gone into the cellular equivalent of tank armor. Usually an Otterbox Defender Pro case of some form. And while my case choice may never feel like a piece of quality fashionwear for my phone. It does feel like I can trust that if something dumb happens and I drop it, weather due to my clumbsy butter fingers, or whatever else, I know that it's just going to bounce, and worse case scenario, I have to replace a screen protector.
They are straight trash.whatever Apple was thinking with this product I’ll never know. Mine went right back to the Apple Store on day one. They said at the very least they are getting anywhere for 11-15 fine woven products returned everyday since last week. Hopefully that makes Apple realize how dumb this was and they bring back their leather cases. They had by far the best leather out there. Same with the leather link, loved it.
I have to say “the Aspen” by Andar is the closest I’ve found to matching Apple’s quality. My only grove is there’s just a cutout for the action button which is hard to get your finger in to access the button but still a great case

I like the design and feeling of it, the only thing I hate about it is that it scratches easily
Leather has patina unlike cheap cloth
Why would you market a fabric as replacement for leather? Artificial leather is a thing. For one, you can wipe down leather and artificial leather. You can’t give FineWoven a proper cleaning like you can with leather and artificial leather.
artificial leather uses plastic that generates a lot of heat in manufacturing and is not degradable but i get your point
@@adityalindsonlots of environmentally friendly options for vegan leather.
Im just angry they got rid of leather for totally non sensical reasons. Also if that was the true problem, there have been huge advancements in synthetic vegan leather, they could totally have replaced their leather accessories with their take on it.
The problem with vegan leather is thats is basically just plastic. Which just adds to the problem.
@@dchr1s mine’s still holding up well!
I’m returning my fine woven case. I’m fine to ditch leather. It feels nice in the hand, but I worry about durability and stains. For what I’m paying it better last. This isn’t that product. I’ll be switching to a third party leather case. Sorry Mother Nature.
Hey! Definitely do a video on case makers that use leather. That would be interesting to see which is the best leather case out there for an iPhone 15
Second this. I’ve seen a few floating around but haven’t make the 60/70$ jump on hopes it feels good in the hand
There is refund policy of 2 weeks
the issue is you're spending $60 on a case that doesn't feel premium.
@@ruski77...I'm satisfied with my purchase. Last year I bought the clear case and that thing was always dirty and showed visible scratches. Fine woven is upgrade from that so I'm good
Its total trash and the fabric is like a 70's thrift store fabric. $60 is robbery, I sent it back on day one it was so bad.
Please bring back apple leather for the same price $60 was horrible fine woven
As much as I love the move to being more sustainable, I’m bummed they’re discontinuing leather. I would love to see a comparison of your top leather cases. I’ve had leather cases for years and I’m not sure who to go with now.
Incredible that people could think that replacing a natural renewable material with polyester makes something *more* sustainable lol
Let’s protest Apple to bring back leather
2030 agenda…
I actually prefer the fine woven over my orange leather
Drop the price a decent amount and then maybe people will not talk so loudly about the quality (or lack thereof)
Apple took away 3.5mm headphone jacks, took the charging bricks out of the boxes, gave us lightning (the Apple standard since the iPhone 5), and even now with the new USB-C phones, limit you to USB 2 speeds even for pro users unless you go out and buy a Thunderbolt cable or some 3rd party cable
That’s capable of the ports potential. All of this is to say that as much as I am an Apple user and enjoy their products, people complaining about Apple doing whatever Apple wants to do is only now a problem because they did away with leather and are now charging the same for a less premium material.
A *CASE* HAS CONTROVERSY? The Apple community is doomed.
I was told to watch this video. Now that I did, I realize how bored people really are.
Huh
Good joke,
It’s not about the case, it’s about leather industry.
Thanks Morbo. Hahaha
If it scratches it’s not the case, it’s your eyes! 😂😂😂
I suppose we now need clear vinyl covers for our FineWoven iPhone upholstery? 😏
I know it's a bit late, but I've just upraged to iPhone 13 Pro and learning about MagSafe accessories and such.
3 years is a very short period for a leather product though.
Went to pick up a case for my Iphone15pro, and even the apple team members was criticizing the Finewoven case. The cases on the wall were full of fingernail scratches. Bought a leather case from a third party instead.
Please make a video comparing those Top 4 leather options you listed! 🙏
I bought the Pacific Blue Fine Woven case and overall, I like the look and feel. However, I will be returning it due to the price not being right.
They definitely don’t look as expensive as they are. They look like cheap cases of Amazon imo.
The Finewoven case is what convinced me to update my MagSafe wallet to a premium leather wallet instead.
I do like Apple bring out more environmental sound accessories, but with a price of £59, it was a sure way to get backlash for these cases. At that price along with the publicity you expect it to be better than the leather cases. A lower price could have tempered expectations and received a more positive response.
I ordered one and returned it immediately before I even received the phone and before all the negative press started. It just felt cheap to me.
I actually would have never considered a leather case until they removed them, now i‘m getting 3
Got my first Apple leather case last year and loved it. Guess DBrand’s gonna take my money this year
Yes, please do a video on the leather cases! I will definitely not buy a poorer quality product for the same price from these arbiters of morality.
I still don’t know why apple went with fine woven instead of vegan leather, there’s soooo many options to choose from
I was wondering this too.
I now bought the Mujjo full leather case and I love it 😍
Can not agree more.
@@BenitoMilan
I think they look good but I haven't seen any in person. I'm thrilled with my iPhone 12 mini, its leather case and wallet. I'll be keeping them.
Good for you
which case are ya'll getting instead?
Hey Chris, nice seeing you again! Interesting video for sure, agreed on your thought to leave the leather as an option, and there it goes..
What's the point of Apple making a big deal of the titanium design if than sell cases for it (leather or not)?
The issue with the fine woven i am having is no usb c 3 cable that i have fits in the hole.
Stupid prices for a case 🥶
I’ll stick to my $10 clear case from Amazon
I can't say the scratches that happen soon after using leather is particularly appealing either, whether or not people try to convince me it's "part of the patina".
I was going to purchase the course but I don’t see a discount code or indication on the site it’s half off. Can you please post a code. Thanks.

Just purchased the course. I look forward to giving it a spin. I’ve recently switched my company to all Macs so this comes at a perfect time for me. Btw, great podcast. Keep up the great work you’re doing.
Please do the 3rd-party leather case comparison review ASAP! I'm returning my FineWoven case, I agree with all of your conclusions.
Q, is there a eco friendly alternative other than what apple is offering?
Lol no controversy at all here. It's just a garbage AND overpriced case, made for the sole purpose of empty virtue signalling.
That green!! I think it looks nice. I’m intrigued to maybe wax it, with beeswax
I prefer a leather case and would love to hear your review of how Nomad, Andar, and others stack up.
the paradox in my mind right now is...
I’m hearing they’re correcting the cutout with a button in an upcoming re-release
@@adamthurmond9092 did they say anything about the release date or timeframe?
In my country, Amazon reviews on FineWoven cases have a score of 2.3. That is abysmal compared to the 4.5 of leather case. Unacceptable quality.
How did the wallet hold on to the back of the phone when shaken?
OMG I just saw the advertisement for your own product within the review. I love that!
How much cheaper was it to make these is the real question?
What you said at 35 seconds is exactly apples problem in general. Don't worry about what the customer actually wants, but rather, do what you want to do and then force the customer into accepting it.
Is $125 per course already the discounted price?

I personally like the fine woven case a lot... but I want a leather case as well... They should replace the silicone cases instead IMO
I have been enjoying mine. I was skeptical, but I am happy with it.
