This set is really great. I was amazed when I found out that it was designed in 1984 without using computer technology, by hand. Thanks Italeri for delighting us with such interesting and old-school sets!
I have the F104 cockpit. I always thought they should have offered the corresponding fuselage section with canopy as a complementary kit. This would have been a great addition. Nice F16 set 👌
The F-16 was one of the first fighters to use Hands-Off-Throttle and Stick flight controls instead of an analog throttle quadrant and a floor-mounted stick. It also mounted weapons selection buttons on the throttle.
...nice build. How does the pilot close his visor? Bet you lost the small, round knob to close? I completed mine, but hated the paper harnesses so I made mine from 2mm ribbon & dyed it the right colour. Also added the 'mock' sheepskin seating. Fun build but with many flaws. The F-104 cockpit is also in the stash......
@@ModelCatBoris .....sure, I used a jewellery polishing cloth (as it was quite thick & 'furry'). Then with clothing dye, I dyed it black. Looks good as 'looks' in scale.
After watching thid video i ordered one cockpit for myself to build, excellent work!
Thanks and happy building!
Very nice work! I built the original release several years ago and have the F-102 cockpit kit in my stash. Fun build!
Cool kit. Built one a few years back. One of my favorites. Nice work. 👍
Excellent build. Thanks for sharing.
That was originally an ESCI kit released in the middle 1980's.
Now it's clear why the kit has so many defects, but the decals are of excellent quality. Thank you!
They were much better, I had both. I thought the F-104 was better, I just preferred the old school look.

1/12 action figures are very popular nowadays, they probably thought what the heck let's get some piece of the action 😅😅

Excellent work my friend
Very steady hand 😮
Thanks👍
Great work 👍
very nice job❤
I've seen ACES II on display at a local airshow, they have sheepskin cushions for pilot comfort.
I saw it in the pictures👍
Really cool.
That's an antique Fighting Falcon cockpit alright. Wish Italeri would do a sub-tool with the Charlie Juliet Viper instrument panel and side consoles.
Beautiful ❤
This would be a partswork I would really throw my money at...similar F-111 also.
Perfect 👍
Can you imagine a 1/12 plane to go with the cockpit 😊
He'll need his own room😀
Decal setter for adhesive rivets? That's something to remember.

I didn't lose it😀 I forgot about it. In the photos at the end of the video it's still there! Thank you.
@@ModelCatBoris ....Phew! There it is.....love it.
The seats are made of sheepskin, was it an aftermarket or did you make them yourself? If so, what was it made of? Share your experience.

Great idea. Thanks
Only half way through but loving the work thus far. Is there a C variant of the viper cockpit in this scale?
If I'm not mistaken, only the F-104 and F-16 cockpit exists(
👍👍👍
Slava Ukraini!
Tamiya doesn't fit!
Hi, What's wrong with Tamiya?
