Agreed , it's be 68 some shadows area during the day and drop alot cooler at night like at 40 something . Last time I was there we went to the lighthouse restaurant and got out at night time freeze to death . That was early August ...

I think we more casually refer to our country as "the US" or "the states" but there's not like anything derogatory or geographically incorrect about saying "America", so don't worry. And I'm glad you're coming! I'd bounce over to see you but I'm broke as a joke right now.

Hearing about how violet wanted to go into school to take in snacks for the other kids was so sweet :] i know that i appreciated the kids who did that in my primary school lol. This one kid's mum used to make cakes for the whole class every time he had a birthday. Also i'm impressed that you even managed to have on the mesh shirt over the crop top in this video because i'm living in scotland and the weather hasn't hit us yet, but i'm MELTING... i've basically been wearing JUST bras all week lol. omg when i was a kid my mom was a cake decorator for a living so on every holiday she'd bring in cakes themed for the holidays for my class, didnt' have many friends as a kid, EXCEPT ON HOLIDAYS XD

I live in the USA and the only thing I can think of is people say "America" is offensive because the USA isn't the only America there is--which makes sense. Definitely check out HomeGoods, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx for all of the Halloweennnnn. Also, what brand is that green jacket? I love it!

"The states" "America" it's all the same. It's annoying when people say they're "half American". It doesn't work like that. Their parent may be American but an American is usually a hodgepodge of different backgrounds. "My dad is American and my mom is Irish" is fine but never "I'm half American and Irish" or "Irish American" when you were born in Ireland. Saying you're half American doesn't say what you are. You could be Spanish, Indian, French, African American, etc if you were born in the U.S. I hope this makes sense. It drives me bonkers when hear people say "half American".
I feel like only people from the UK call them the states, everyone else just says America but we don't really care lol. Hot topic is neat but I feel the UK beats us in brick and mortar alternative stores. Like it's harder for us to find physical goth stores. California thrifting would be so fun!

For future travels, when it's warm out, linen fabric clothes are comfortable when it's uncomfortably warm out. One lives in the south, where humidity with heat can have ppl gasping like a fish out of water...

Whoever freaked out about you wearing that "Salem 1692" shirt is nuts! I'm from Massachusetts, went to Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts, have a friend that's a Cabot pagan priest, and I'm a former Wiccan myself. No one who isn't genuinely just looking for attention around here would have any problems with that shirt. New Englanders, especially people from Salem, are very proud of our history and work to keep the memories of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials alive. We are all very proud of our dark histories here - not in a "yay! Bad things happened here!" kind of way, but in a "it shaped our culture into what it is today," kind of way. Wear that shirt with pride!

Lolol! "The states" is just short for the full name of our country, The United States of America. A state isn't the same thing as a country. America is one single united country. "The states" and "America" are interchangeable terms.
You are forgetting all the stuff you will accumulate on your trip and return with. Thus you need space in your suitcase.

Please bring a jacket lol- everyone needs one for San Francisco. The cold wind coming off the ocean even in July- it’s cold! And ignore the obnoxious guys on the street…they try to engage you to bet them on random weirdness and scam you. Just keep walking 😂 if you plan to go to Pier 39- and if you like seafood there’s a restaurant at the very end of the pier down by the carousel called “Bubba Gumps” after the movie and everything’s themed from the movie- even the manager dresses like Forrest lol- they have awesome food! They have burgers and chicken too. The shops on the pier are pricey but it’s a lot of fun and there’s candy stores etc. there’s also an aquarium! And you can view the seals for free off the pier towards the very end to the left of the carousel. There’s signs and you can stay there as long as you like. I haven’t been to San Fran since before covid and I know you’re gonna have a blast!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Also just be careful with the liquids - when I flew to Sweden mine were all the right size but I didn’t know there was a limit to the number you can take so I was having to bin a bunch at the airport security gate. Worth checking.

Hearing about your trip makes me so homesick! I moved to Canada years ago and I miss California so much. I don't get back there nearly as often as I wish! The ferry out to Alcatraz can get chilly so I'd recommend at least a light jacket or coverup for that day.

We get this sort of weather every year now. It always gets ridiculously hot in the summertime, but it's alot of humidity aswell so it's not a nice heat at all, not like what you get.

HERE IS A TIP FOR YOUR ABOUT YOUR ACCESSORIES. Layer a bunch of necklaces, belts exc.. while riding the plane you won’t have to pay for them cause there on you on the plane as an “accessorie” to the outfit you’re already wearing 😂

I would take maybe a couple more clothing options, as I always say its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Also take at least two extra pairs of undies - but I agree your probably going to bring back some cool stuff so will need the space 👍🏻 Oh! Don’t forget to take any medications you may need - we went away once and left mine in my drawer and ended up having to go to the local hospital to get a temporary prescription 🤦🏻♀️ spare pair of specs? And bath towels? …… think that’s about it lol - have a wonderful time all of you and take care! ✈️🏖✈️

Why not just put the make up in your suitcase? Then you don’t have to worry about millilitres. You don’t need it on the plane. I did that and brought full bottles of shampoo and conditioner and shower gel.
I love all of the outfits you're bringing and I have been watching the news about your heat wave that has been hitting you guys over there. So Cali is like that heat wave, but it doesn't stop, and it hasn't rained for a long time. There is good news though, every place that you go into has air conditioning, unless it's someone's house that doesn't. I am sorry that you guys are going through the heat wave and aren't set up for these high temps. I know you're not used to 100 degree(F) and your homes are made for cooler temps. If it get's too bad use an Ice cooler and set a fan so it blows on the ice. It will help but not for long.

I know you already said sunscreen, but OMG SUNSCREEN! I got to go to England in June back in 2009 and it was so nice. I didn't wear sunscreen and didn't get burnt at all, but as soon as I crossed into Calais my cheeks got burnt. Sunburn suuucks!! I would guess that sunburn is even worse in the U.S. than Europe because of all the pollution but I only have that one experience for reference.
If you do this again you should bring snacks cause I'm really hungry right now
I echo what Emily said about Vicious Punx. I bought some earrings from them a couple of years ago, I loved them so much but every time I wore they my ear lobes felt like they were burning! The necklace I got is really good quality.
We're I live in Canada it is very windy, and I have thick legs. I were black bike shorts under all my dresses and skirts. Which is only what I wear.

You need to go to bath and body works. They just released they're Halloween collection
Don’t forget you can layer the floaty sun and moon beach cover up over the open backed dress as well, plus if it is cooler you can layer up most of these items easily. You need loads of space in your suit case anyway for bringing back stuff from Hot Topic and Target plus any Halloween items you see this time of year.
