Why wouldn’t you pay the same amount of money for the same thing in USA or Sri Lanka? Because Sri Lanka is poorer it has to sell for cheap and stay poor?
Simply because of the difference between development of two countries, they can’t put the same price tag on things. If Sri Lanka puts the same price on eveything with US, I’d go to US because it offers a better life with better infrastructure and services. When you wanna get rich it doesn’t work like you should just 10x all the prices and that’s it 😅 You should invest in development first. Unfortunately Sri Lanka couldn’t develop and catch the world for many reasons, it is hard to solve this problem. I wish the best for Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤️
The questions is not about all the goods and services in USA and Sri Lanka. It’s a specific question about a specific product. The park entrance fee. The only reason why you should demand cheaper prices is if the park has less to offer, compared to a different one. Not just because it’s in Sri Lanka.
@kalumip1 Economy doesn’t work like that my friend. It has nothing to do with the park has. If it has 3 more waterfalls are you gonna increase the price?? 😅😅
That’s exactly how it works. Resorts in Maldives can be more expensive than in US, a safari in Africa will be more expensive than in Sri Lanka, although Sri Lanka is economically much better off.

Kandy is a very religious city and you can see many religious activities and festivals in Sri Lanka during these few months

Kandy was the most religious part of Sri Lanka we have seen so far. I’ve been so many religious places around the world but I’ve never seen religious activities all night long 😅 With all respect to the believers 🙏🏼🇱🇰
the only belief budhism requires is respect for things and others. No faith is required although some people do appear to worship buddha. There is hymn called "Jaya mangala gatha" this is sung twice a day on all public tv stations. Essentially what the hymn teaches all sri lankas is to think and talk to sort problems out not by violence or discord. Even Brahma kneels down to venerate the buddha.
Hi you may not like certain things in Sri Lanka…but please do not condemn or insult us….. it would have been really nice if you have pre studied about Sri Lanka before coming to enjoy your visit… please appreciate our culture… enjoy your stay….Thanks
