I’m always very appreciative of Priyank’s elucidations on Indian customs-they clarify a number of questions for me, especially since I’ve never been to India (apart from dreams when first starting to read the AoY). Am refraining from any comments on dhotis, Mike 😉Re Jitendra’s tears: likely there was an element of relief also, due to his pent-up fretting. Re Mukunda’s pinch-back: another example of his mischievous nature, which I catch a glimpse of in some pix-this photo and the last also (reptile sitting). - If allowed, would like to add that I find Lauren’s plaits very flattering. Good to see you all together again. Thx, Gang of Four. 🌼🌼🌼🌼
I find this entire Vrindavan ordeal as a lesson that has affirmed the two most powerful messages of the Gita. Here Master's faith and his own actions supports Krishna's principles on the art of detachment and the science of working; something I struggle with😅. Krishna explains in the following verses: BG CH 2 verse 47: " You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of actions. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction." BG CH3 verse30; "Performing all works as an offering unto Me, constantly meditate on Me as the supreme. Become free from desire and selfishnss, and with your mental grief departed, fight!"
Love those referenced to the Gita. Brother Muktananda just went through those verses with us in a recent Satsang with the young adults here in London. We made the following notes on this topic: Focus on the effort you are making, not on the result. Guruji said to a lady once “you will not have any spiritual experiences in this life, but you should carry on your spiritual effort as it will set you up well for your next birth. Effort is in your gift, the results are god’s business. The primary message of the Bhagavad Gita is that your right is only in action, not on the result.
@@YoganandaPodcast wowww🤩✨Thanks for sharing!! Guruji’s words are so accurate. Absolute truth and relatable. Surely can relate with message shared by him to this lady. Also that keeps resistance away and keeps us on the path.
I can't wait for chapter 26!!! 😍
