Those are pure lies. In 1990 before the civil broke the Somali GDP was 917 million USD and a per Capita of 131USD per annum , while Kenya was 8.75 billions USD and a per Capita of 371 USD per annum.The civil war broke in 1991 and afterwards Somalia refugees started coming to Eastleigh Nairobi. What else could they do except to survive through business in an economy almost ten times the one they left. Kenya was even then the biggest economy in this region. Saying they have built Kenya is taking glory that doesn't belong to them. If they had a bigger economy than Kenya before the civil war then it could probably be true. They benefit from Kenya's big middle class who patronize their businesses hence the success. If Kenyans didn't have money how could they succeed.?

I made so many Somali friends in Kansanga because I used to do home schooling for English lessons during COVID but they are great people. They would always second guess whether I could eat their meals and I always told them, "if you eat it and you are still alive, I can eat it too".

I really miss Uganda and I enjoyed watching your posts but I just have an advice, please be considerate of cultures and religions. Your thumbnail photo is inappropriate and seems disrespectful to Muslim Somali sisters. Please remove it if you can. You could have picked any other photo to catch peoples eyes instead of something like that. I understand you want people to watch your posts but don’t do it in the wrong way. Also learn about the cultures and religion because it seems like you are learning as you go and that can get you into trouble. When you are familiar with a religion or culture you will receive a better outcome with people. Also every race or country has good and bad people so just because someone is nice to you doesn’t mean they are “westernized” they are simply nice people ….I don’t know why you use that word a lot. Do you even know what it means? Anyway I would love to see more posts of Uganda. I would also advise you to get someone from the race you want to know abt. Camel milk is just like cow or goat milk...same as camel meat..no difference...The "cha" as its called in Somali, or Tea/Chayi are also of the same taste... After I watched this video I realized that these two RUclipsr have negative stereotype about Somali people for example: these two RUclipsr when they got off the Somali’s motorcycle ( tuktuk) the male RUclipsr praised driver and said the trip and having good Somali driver that was a positive mindset that means he had negative stereotype about people. Girl said “ those people are so friendly I think they are educated people or so “ she believes Somali people are illiterate people. But that is not the case.
But glad we got to know they are friendly people either some who are reserved and have language barriers
