My favourite catchphrase from this board game after giving someone vital information "I might be drunk or poisoned", think I will start using it on the daily when I am unsure about everything
"I dunno, I think my crush loves me back. unless I am drunk or poisoned of course, but I am currently lead to believe that."
So, we have some exciting news! We’re going to be parents! Unless I’m drunk or poisoned
"I'm under the legal limit, officer. Unless I'm drunk or poisoned."
@@DivingDog0I protected that man, Officer. Unless I'm drunk or poisoned.
"I think this year's gonna be my year, I'm gonna get my life on track. Unless I'm drunk or poisoned."
Sully and Brooke screaming "ARE YOU EVIL?!" at each other already is a highlight by itself
Brooke: Are you evil??
Sully: Brooke... Brooke... are you evil?
🤣🤣🤣
Can it also be merchandise please?
Are Sully and Brooke dating/married? New here 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Are YOU evil?
"If Sully is quiet he's evil"
* Immediately cut to Sully screaming "ARE YOU EVIL?!" for 2 minutes *
The editing here is GENIUS
Adam's face the moment he realizes what Isaac had done while everyone is laughing and smiling and voting is LEGIT the best part of this game... well, apart from "ARE YOU EVIL?! ARE YOU EVIL?!?!"
Legit Kaiser Soze moment
...somehow at first glance I read "vomiting" instead of "voting"...
1:54:30
@@metallsnubben omg same 😂 I was so confused lol
I spoiled myself on this early on (because searching the comments for "ARE YOU EVIL?" is worth it) and I've still replayed it about ten times.
Oh man, this could've been a film script: At the end when Isaac was about to be executed and everyone was laughing and patting themselves on the back, believing they had made the right choice, a fraction after it's too late Adam realises it doesn't make sense that Isaac plays so well only to slip up at the end and it comes to him: it's a trap, cleverly set by Isaac. That was so fun to watch!
Yeah, I was focused on Adam's face at that time. It reminded me a lot, literally, of the ending of The Usual Suspects. Great moment (and movie).
1:54:33 you can literally see the moment he goes from laughing to terrified and I loved every second of it. Isaac's feigned stupidity, Carly is reveling it their choice, Adam's head explodes
Someone needs to tell Luke that this is how you "set a trap"
So what have we learned from this installment?
- Sully is still EVERYTHING ❤
- Jon likely needs therapy now
- Brooke may need a hug
Also.. I need brooke and sully to both be evil and instead of "are you evil?" It's "you are evil!"😅
Jon really needs therapy after this.
jon going so hard for carly's defence was irritating, it's like he wouldn't even consider the possibility that he had bad information.
@@louthinatoryeah, just because she said the right one, like even if she had said something different, she wasn’t in a very bad spot so it was likely she could have been bluffing
"Everything the good team needs to identify the demon is now in their hands" - checks the time stamp, sees that there's still 45 minutes to go lol
@@oh.hey.matthew Ben makes the game balanced and interesting. And him interrupting players is so they don't go on wild tangents for hours.
The evil team had 3 members this game: Carley the Imp, Isaac the Poisoner, and Dumb Luck!
Being really unfair to Jon. He deserves credit too LOL. I think he got swerved worse than Oli last game
@@sackbeardthepirate8096 More like Dumb Luck and Jon were a tag team. Carley happening to bluff the exact role Ben lied to Jon about was pretty damn lucky. I don’t blame him for getting worked.
@@hwoarangthedoorbell It wasnt that hard a bluff, they told him empath, and that is the best roll for evil to bluff.
Probably the luckiest was poisoning Jon on Night One. That's a shot in the dark. 4 of the 6 Good roles wouldn't have been affected at all by poison on the first day. Isaac was 1-in-3 to hit someone who mattered, and 1-in-6 to hit Jon which completely nullified his role.
Carley's bluff wasn't lucky at all. She had already told Isaac to bluff Recluse. That left her with Empath or Investigator. Investigator is a terrible bluff for Evil because it's a Night One role, meaning everyone will want to nominate the Investigator as a sacrificial kill to gain information. She made the only bluff that was available to her, which the storytellers knew and therefore supported when they gave Jon his poisoned information.
Blair definitely helped with how much she pointed the finger at Brooke the whole game
As soon as Jon starts to fully trust someone in the group, that should be a RED FLAG to everyone else.
1. Jon almost splitting his hair while playing these social deduction games are underrated moments.
2. Looking forward to the day Sully finally becomes the demon just to witness the chaos
3. ARE YOU EVIL?!
4. Adam experiencing the ending to The Usual Suspects in the final moments of the game.
@@williamtoccijr9579 Seriously, oh I can't wait to watch it
You can see Adam's expression changing and then going "Oh shit, oh shit!" XD Amazing.
“That was the wrong time for a brain fart”....AND THE OSCAR GOES TO ISSAC!
That was an excellent play. Cos it didn’t matter if he died
Haha, like the actor Oscar Isaac
On my second watch of this whole series right now, and Adam realizing the truth just barely too late is still one of my favourite moments of all time.
It's what 100% sold me on the voting concept of the clock hand going around the circle. It was just so cinematic, listening to the increasing dread in his voice, while steadily and unstoppable to clock hand moved around, and vote after vote was cast..
that beautiful moment when Isaac puts up his hand to secure his own death and thus the win... it's like tipping over the opponent's mated king in chess :)
@@johannesgutsmiedl366isaac was celebrating for the last half hour, I wonder how no one found that weird
@@matheuscabral9618 They can't see the cameras while they're playing. That threw me off on some other videos as well until I learned that.
@@Funktaro5 oooooooh it all makes sense now
Watching the light bulb go off in Adam's head at the very end was amazing
No it was NOT amazing because it was SO FRUSTRATINGLY late?!?
I really love that you guys take the time to explain all of the roles, put up a chiron of everyone's roles, and walk us through all of the what ifs. Great production values that are probably lots of work in editing but mean so much to a viewer! Thank you all!
My sentiments exactly!
I didn't know that I needed 2 minutes of Sully and Brooke shouting "Are you evil?!?!" at each other until I got it.
That was the best part of the first day
I didn’t either, but it was amazing.
The funny thing is... this playlist is backwards, so it autoplays from newest to oldest... Carley is consistently the best player. And on this one, Carley says they'll never trust her again. Yet they do. Because she's just so good. Always a pleasure to watch.
Isaac being deliberately sus in order to deflect all suspicion from his imp is such an Isaac play.
Watching the panic appear on Adams face in the last few moments is glorious
Carley: "I love being evil."
Yes. We could tell.
Ughhh i was so frustrated
Poor Brooke's blood pressure just becoming sky high as she basically becomes Cassandra and nobody believes her. That's the content we love!
Amazing Cassandra reference
Ben runs this so smoothly. I hope he'll be staying in his role for the monthly show. And Carley ran an absolute clinic here. Pro debut stuff.
Laurie with the monologue is so amazing. I could listen to this guy tell me how paint dries and I would take down notes.
How his father was in the art business, working as the starving artist day to day. He did not want that life, yet the gloss of the paint called to him. Therefore, he took up dressing walls in rainbows of colors, watching each dry with such slowness as to make turtles blush.
This is an example of the fans clamouring for a fan-favourite (BOTC) to get pushed to the moon and creative actually listening to them.
Jeez, WWE would have turned Blair heel, fired Tom and given Sully a tax-collecter gimmick by now.
@@apocrypha5363 tbh I think sully would pull it off

Is Jon Gracy the single biggest source of misinformation this game has ever seen.
It’s a close one between him and the big virgin oli Davis
I think I win that award this time around ffs
There was the time Sully was the drunk empath
The virgin got screwed in the last game.
@@JonGracey69 On the other hand:
You had a knight claim that said "i might be poisoned".
Brook said she might have been poisoned.
Not a single good player put forth the idea that you might have been poisoned on the first night. So you have to share some of the reward with your team mates.
First off the bat, loved it. Laurie getting to tell his backstory to an empty town square, Brooke and Sully's unique method of getting to the truth about one another, and to the surprise of no one who's watched the previous games: Isaac on Evil team = Evil team win; Jon vehemently telling everyone that he's got it all worked out and the person he knows is safe is in fact the demon. Can't wait to see the other scenarios where Blair will undoubtedly be the demon and rain down hellfire on everyone.
Poor Jon, got absolutely screwed over from the start and then had to suffer as the Mad Washerwoman for the entire game, plaguing Team Good with his poison information from beyond the grave.
@@oh.hey.matthew The poison got in the water, the poison got in the clothes, the poison leeched into their minds
@@oh.hey.matthewVictorian washerwomen use lye, and lye is tragically caustic. Perhaps an arsenic dyed lace dress found its way into the wash.
I didn't know I wanted Isaac as an evil player until this moment. The mini-celebrations, the giddiness when Carly had everyone hook, line and sinker, and finally the sick smile on his face when he raised his hand....
As he did during the game itself - *chef's kiss*
I didn't realize that they couldn't see each other during deliberations until I saw Isaac start celebrating on screen. My heart jumped in my throat, like WHATAREYOUDOING??! lol

Laurie’s lonely story was incredible
Isaac and Adam with the Sherlock and Moriarty vibes.
Adam’s last minute realization was fantastic lmao
1:23:07 I know I'm years late to the party but it really tickles me that Adam had at least a toe on the right path here, only for all of it to come full circle when it was already too late in such a hilariously, tragically dramatic fashion. Amazing

Coming back to this after watching 2 years of games is wild. Of course a lot of people are still kinda new to it, but you already see the patterns.
Carley loves being evil and manipulating everyone, Isaac is both brilliant and mad, Jon unravels and Laurie can't catch a break. Wonderful.

This series actually inspired me to start a board game club with some pals, we've not been going on too long, but we've been playing every Wednesday since. So thank you for everything, cause the board game club we've got going on has really been helping me and my friends through this second lockdown. Love the content and I can't wait for more :)
Me too, creating a board game club off the back of this series has been such a lift in lockdown. Will definitely carry on gaming as well. 😁👍🏻
I already have an RPG Club that plays board games on occasion, No Rolls Barred came around at just the right time to keep us all going during Lockdow!
I totally thought the good team had it. Everytime I saw Isaac do a dance or pump his fist ( 1:47:40 ) I thought "You've done it now! Someone must've seen you celebrate!!!" But noone one did.... except Ben.
Unfortunately
Adam was the one to tell him
He’s done it now
He’s gone and made a big mistake
But it was too late
ADAM: Ha, we can't see each others camera feeds when we play, that's just for the audience at home, otherwise, yeah we might have had a word
I think Jon has finally realized that this game is just two hours of the storytellers messing with the heads of the townsfolk.
Spoiler
Adam realizing that Isaac was being so incredibly obvious "I'm the demon" as the votes were being counted was like watching the end of the Usual Suspects when Agent Kujan realized he let Soze just walk out of the station. Brilliant!
SULLY AND BLOOD ON THE CLOCKTOWER!!! LETS GO
Isaac plays THE HELL out of this game, EVERY TIME. Bravo.
He has so many brilliant deductions. It’s incredible.
37:12
Just needed to add this to better understand what it felt to Adam when he came back to the room with Sully shouting "I'm not the Spy!" without any context whatsoever - and it's hilarious
1:37:30 I can’t stop watching Isaac being the most suspicious person ever after carlys defense
"Im the...the...the recluse..." So good!
Seems like whichever side has Isaac wins lol, Also daaaamn Carley was smug af in those last two rounds, I just started laughing my butt off when she suddenly stuck her tongue out when things bent in her favor
Jon delivered this for the evil team 😂😂
Every other game of this he's started his first assumption with 'unless I'm drunk or poisoned', and the one time this was pertinent he breezed past it. Great game. So many differing variations
pretty much nailed it tbh
Poor Brooke... Towards the end, she just has this "These idiots!" look on her face.
Isaac is now Mr. BOTC being the only one with 3 victories, he's great. Also, ARE YOU EVIL?!
I’m pretty sure Isaac is a supergenius
And pulling off a recluse bluff takes balls.
Thanks to these videos I’ve actually sought out a BotC group in my city and had a great time. Much appreciated No Rolls Barred!
I have never watched a full play-thru of this game before, but I will most definitely do it again! This was so entertaining! All of the players were brilliant, and watching Jon consistently hammer the “Carly is the empath” like beating a drum was wonderful! Looking forward to the next one! Thanks!!!
OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY
EDIT: I don't know what it is about this game in particular that's so enthralling. I enjoy all the board game playthrough, but there's something about the atmosphere & intrigue that's more palpable & intense. There's a real sense of impending doom as each day ends & time starts to run out for the good players.
Also, whoever edits these videos deserves all the love: it can't be easy editing multiple room meetings like this & keeping the pace leisurely at the beginning & more & more frantic towards the end.
Looking forward to monthly Clocktower mysteries!
SPOILERS
As an aside, I feel a bit petty in being a bit disappointed that Evil triumphed in this particular episode. In Game I Luke was so kind & nice that it would've just been great to see him win: in Game II Adam's play was so bold & diabolical I was rooting for Jon to win. In this game, the sheer bad luck of Jon talking to Carley first, & Carley just happening to choose the correct fake role, was so instrumental to Evil's success that it almost seems unfair in retrospect. Not to take anything away from Carley & Isaac, though - the Good players could have ended this 45 minutes earlier, so kudos to the Imp & Poisoner lasting long enough to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat!
Watching the dawning realization on Adam's face as he cracks Isaac's play during the vote was priceless. Followed closely by Sully seeing that Isaac voted for himself.
I remember watching the last episode and thinking to myself "You've got so much time until your long ass term paper is due". Now I am preparing for an all nighter to finish it midnight tomorrow. But I recon I still have 2 hours to watch this. That's future Marvin's problems. Would not want to change with that idiot
Love Laurie's depiction of a random video game NPC
Undertaker Adam bluffing as Ravenkeeper is a smart bluff. It makes total sense and is probably a standard bluff for experienced players, but I didn’t think about it
I'm sad also that Adam didn't change his light to blue and spend ten minutes walking through a fog machine to get to his chair.
Younger, thinner, better, oh god....
Its been tough on us all, mate. But thank you all for doing this. We love the showmanship. You all truly have panache!
I'm so SO happy to see that this is becoming a regular thing. Watching this group play Clocktower is absolutely captivating and I wish I could play with any of them.
As far as the game goes itself, the Baron - 3 Outsider Bluff could have worked. Sell Laurie as the drunk, Sully as the Butler, and Isaac as the Recluse. Carley is the fake empath confirmed by Jon's Washer Woman. Evil could have then killed Sully and tried to pitch the idea that Brooke was the minion and that Adam was the demon, because all of the info that he was "confirming" was stuff that was already publicly said up to that point. The Empath bluff would have stayed 1 and they could argue that the Storyteller of course would only give a 1 in this case, because a 2 (off the Recluse) would have been too obvious of a lie. If other players tried to argue why would the Demon kill Sully and not anyone else, well Sully was pretty much 100% believed to be a good player at that point. After all, why would he have openly volunteered to be executed day 1 if he was the Demon.
The final vote in the video only had 3 potential world views: the truth of Isaac (Poisoner) and Carley (Demon), the inverse of Isaac (Demon) and Carley (Poisoner), or Isaac (Demon) and Brooke (Poisoner). Those would have stayed, except leaving Adam on the block would have added the world view of Adam (Demon), Brooke (Baron). Just something to take more pressure off of Carley.
I keep coming back to this episode, I find it so satisfying to watch. What a performance by Carley!
As soon as lockdown eases I'm going to hunt around some board game clubs to find some people to play this with! I've got friends who will play card game/simple games but it's hard to find the right audience for this.
Great content as always, looking forward to next months!
Thank you for posting all these and keeping daddy Bens reasoning. It is very helpful for us storytellers looking to improve.

@@scootybooty1363 Absolutely, Laurie’s my dude. He deserves everything

This is honestly the best series I’ve seen in so long on any platform - suspense and humour done perfectly by likeable people.
Thanks again to everyone.
For all of those things to just line up like that is why I love this game and find these people really entertaining
Honestly, I don't think the evil team was that lucky. They played the good guys one against each other really well, especially Jon who has been Carley's alibi for the whole game. Full points from me. Very well played.
And might I add that Carley has the sweetest evil smile? 1:54:41 Just as Adam pieced it all together... Chef's kiss.
I think it was simply skewed. Ben said that it's so super easy to make things easier for the good team, and there wasn't once an opportunity to help them during this game.
I’m new to this but I feel like the good team was completely screwed over by the evil team’s luck. They were lucky enough to get the 1/5 chance to poison the only investigative role in the first night, but the person playing that role in question didn’t know that the “random” clue they’d get would favour the evil team. This just sets up an impenetrable defence for Carley, more so when the other investigative role that can check Carley can produce flawed results fundamentally. Maybe I haven’t watched more episodes yet but I feel like the storyteller has so much influence in the presence of a drunk/poisoner/mayor/others that they basically decide the outcome of the game unknowingly.
Tom narrating is just brilliant! I miss him now that there are no CBW episodes.
I absolutely adore how Sullivan plays this game. I'm just starting this ep, but I had to come here and say that. His painful honesty is 10 kinds of relatable. This game would stress me out so much that I would just scream out everything, too. 🤣
I love the channel. I know that it seems unfair to people but that's a part of playing social deductive games with friends. You have an understanding of your friends' ticks and signs. You will use your past experience and knowledge of said person in the game. You can consider it "meta" or a con on the pros and cons list for social deductive games. What's important is that everyone is having fun. Keep it up Adam and Issac, I personally love your rivalry
I love jon and sully. I desperately need a podcast hosted by them and Adam. Hopefully the data gods would agree that it would do good numbers.
