As a multipotentialite, I've lived so many careers so far so change was very welcome and almost craved. It wasn't until recently that the door closed on my last chapter that I knew wasn't right for me that I started to feel the weight of societal expectations to actually build and make progress in one area. Usually, when I transition I line up the next stone in my life path before jumping to it. This time however, when one door closed I haven't been able to pick which new door to build. For the first time after maybe 10 different careers/chapters/jobs I've had terrible analysis paralisis. Worrying about which one will take the lomgest to start up, what if I grow out of this career option, I like this one but I feel like I couldn't really do it if I don't live in x place or go back to school etc. etc. I LOVE your take on the fig tree example because it encapsulates a minset I've been trying to cultivate: that choosing one doesn't nullify or mean I'll never get to taste the others. I might not have the solution to this yet, but it's so comforting to hear others opinions on the topic.

Wow thank you for leaving such a heartfelt comment! I’m so glad my video was able to resonate with you. I feel almost everyone comes to this crossroad just as I did and Sylvia Plath. However not many of them take the time to plan out how to pick the road that will genuinely fulfill their dreams and desires. Which is why I love the poem bc it’s so real and vulnerable. Whatever you do, I hope that it’s something that genuinely and meaningfully suits you 🤎.

I've never heard that poem until you read it in the intro.. applies to my life sooo much right now. Esp because I'm at a crossroads of multiple decisions within many facets of my life. I also loved your additions and perspective. Thanks for making this video!🩷

I’m so glad I could introduce this poem with you, especially since it seems to be relevant to your life just the same as it was for mine. Thank you so much for your sweet comment 🤎
