Wow the bag worms did the job on your trees , we have a caterpillar showing up here last few years know as tent caterpillars that's killing a lot of trees.

I am really not sure what it was, but whatever it spread fast, it did so much damage so quick I just gave up. I was defeated. I do not even want to plant anything else.

Yea, It really sucked. I have planted several fruit trees & so far none are producing. They're growing, but the weather, the bugs, it is a lot to learn. It's a struggle. The loss of all those trees & how long it took, 10 years, it defeated me.

Bag Worms, That is what I was told. It spread like wild fire. By the time I realized was going on it was too late to save them.

I was so proud when they started getting taller than the fence. They were just starting to look perfect. Then all the sudden they started dying. I thought they were poisoned at first. Then my neighbor told me that it was bag worn.
