    1 cup paasiper
    1 cup brown sugar
    ( 1/4 cup water to make the sugar syrup)
    1/2 to 3/4 cup grated coconut
    sesame seeds 1 tbsp rounded
    a pinch of salt
    sukku and yelekai powder
    1/2 cup rice flour
    2 tbsp all purpose flour
    a pinch of salt
    1/2 tumeric powder
    1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp water ( roughly)

    Sis.. Thank you. I tried your recipe yesterday. It's simply awesome. But it's a little bit tiring cause I did 1 kg pasper as this chittuurundai is my family's favourite. My late mother is an expert but unfortunately no one kept her receipe and method.
    Only thing one of the urundai "exploded" and the oil hit my hand 😂😂 Deepavali surely got scar 🎉🎉

      Glad you liked it. I normally do small portion. Let it finish then i will do again. The tricky part is d sugar syrup. If that is good, all good sis. Take care sis. Apply franch oil to the wound so that the scar wont be dark later...

      @sivahomecook yes sugar syrup. I make sure slow fire.
      Sis, one kitchen tips. Always keep aloe Vera gel in your fridge. I apply on emergency and my hands have no boils. Good remedy.

    I love the fact you are making traditional Diwali sweets. My mother and I love making Chitturundai every Diwali. It was a lot of work but I love eating them. I hardy make them now but love it that you are keeping our traditions alive during this wonderful Diwali. Happy Diwali.

    Hi sis, I'm frm Selangor. First time I have tried this urandai. It's my favorite but haven't try do own. Normally my Aunty will make for me on every Deepavali time. This time I feel want to try. I use 1/2cup ...bsc of first time. I get around 17-19psc. U know sis, it's finish in one day. I have share to my neighbor also, she order frm me 1 bottle for Deepavali ready. Every weekend I try one of ur recipe sis. U recipe is simple n easy to do. Tq so much sis.

      Maavu salikeh venam. We dont want it too fine powder. This sugar no need to vadi kattu as this one is clean and good quality

    Sis, try your recipe. After fry it was soft but became very hard after 2days like keeti urandai .

      Careful with the sugar syrup. Once all started to boil on medium to low flame wait for 30 seconds enough. Then off the fire. This is where most of them fail. The secret is the right timing to stop cooking the sugar
