I wish there was an real FF9 Remake with your music! But the Problem is that no One would Start the game because of this Perfect title Menu song!
He's done some soundtracks for later parts of the game like Beatrice's theme. I'm not sure about others.
I was just about 13 when this game came out. I got it for my birthday. I liked it but did not appreciate it as i should have.
I was able to get to the 3rd disc but at the time I did not understand you can teach abilities from your weapons and items you obtained throughout the game.
I am 32 now and Ive been playing this game for the first time since i was about 14. Now my brain found time to develop, i now understand not only the ability system fully more but appreciate the fantastic story.
This game is a fan service to the classic final fantasy games in terms of the 4 character battle system, rearranged segments and bits from classic ff games. Even scores in general have that FFIV feel to it (FFII for me, first ever ff game) was wonderful. Not to mention the mist part of the game is very similar to something from iv.
I have never beat the game. Im changing that this month.
I think the older you are the more you appreciate 9. My fav is still 7 but 9 has a special place in my heart to. If you see interviews with Nobuo he says that 9 is his fav soundtrack and I think it is some of his best work.
Whwn I first got 9 I listened to this and watched those quotes for hours. Its such a silly yet earnest game.
Same with me,first time i played ff9 i just like it but nof fully understand the game (i was 10yo). But now i play ff7 (the classic one,not the remake),ff8, and ff9 again with ps4 and i understand the story,the characters,the battle system,even the side quests.
Btw for me,ff9 has the most beautiful songs of all ff series. Second to that maybe ffxv and ff8.

Jesus Christ. I can just fire this up, close my eyes, and go back 18 years in time. The story, the characters, the grinding, the nostalgia. God these games were something special. Nice work on the remix my man!

If you don't like something, go away, don't insult those who like. I played FFVI before FFVII and I know why I like it a way more : Univers, story, characters, feelings, musics (even if FFIX has the best FF soundtrack for me and actually it's the Uematsu's favorite too), Terra is my favorite FF character, the story is dark and mature.
I don't like the FFVII univers, too SF for me, I prefer Fantasy, I like dreaming when I play and FFVI and FFIX bring me that feeling. FFVII did it too but not enough.
FFIX is in the same category than FFVI for me, (after all it's a direct tribute to it) but I found some characters less interesting, like Eiko, Quina and Amarant but Kuja is my favorite antagonist so far and my favorite soundtrack.
FFVIII is a very good game, I love the cast of character but the story is really badly written and the junction system is broken.
If you want to know my top 5, this is it :
1. FFVI
2. FFIX
3. FFIV
4. FFV
5. FFVII
PS : FFXIII is the ONLY ONE I dislike.

This has to be one of my favorite final fantasy songs.. the storyline for final fantasy was also enticing yet sad, final fantasy 9 is one of my favorite final fantasy games

That theme is my favourite theme . ıt reminds me of my teenagehood time , those words which go with the theme had a great impact on me at that time. ı remember playing the the game and watching the first Demo of the game where they take you ın a hast journey to their town then ı remember glancing at the detailed town and wishing to be in it since their evil at that time was not very sinister as if ı were able to forsake our sinister future which was smiling at us from the horizon
Even though IX is one of my most disliked FF games i still have always loved the music in it. IX actually have my favorite battle theme in the whole series.

@Xtafa For me personally i don't like the world,setting or characters(i love Vivi though). It's too "fantasy" for my tastes, i like FF games with more "realistic" characters and setting like VI,VII,VIII and X. I could say Crystal Chronicles is an exception as i really enjoy it. Although i can't stand XIII or any of it's sequels. FF XV too was a great disappointment, but i still have small hope that Episode Ardyn and the final update could redeem it a bit.

i like your slightly different take on this rendition, but it didn't hit me as much as your other remakes =) the imagery that comes immediately with the original and the orchestral version, is that of a sunset that's fast setting, with the person longing and wondering when will he ever return to his home some day. i just didn't get that same imagery with your version but i do like the different direction you took, purely on an artistic merit!
