    Thanks for the video, great to hear that they hold up fine on wet roads too. I was wondering if you experienced flapping/slapping sounds (while striking the ground) when wearing these? I used to wear a pair of Xero sandals and the slapping noise was quite loud.

      Thank you for watching. In my experience Xero shoes have the loudest slapping noise compared to basically all other sandals. The isn’t. A bad slapping noise with the Panta Samos. I think it’s because the sandals isn’t as “floppy” as a Xero shoes

    Very good video, congratulations! I really like your videos and the content of the channel. I also use this type of minimalist sandals, not so much for running, but for walking, walking, doing housework,... the truth is that they are quite comfortable and I really liked to know your experience and variety of different brands and types. I would like to know what kind of shoes you wear after running with these sandals to relax your feet and muscles. Normally, I use flip flops, in this case that have a good arch and absorb the impact. After using this type of minimalist footwear, have you gone back to using flip-flops or sandals with more millimetre and arch support?

      Thank you for watching! This is a great question. I actually use my earth runners as my day to day sandals even after runs. And for quick sandals I will use Birkenstocks. Now a days I actually actually stay away from traditional flip flop. The main reason is that your toes have to work to keep them on. Having a good heel strap helps keep sandals and shoes secure.However, I get something quick and easy is important too which is why I keep the Birkenstocks. As for shoes I mainly use the crocs light ride pacer. These are moderately wide while still looking like a”normal shoe” and someone important for me is that they clean up east. My feet do get sore from time to time. As for boots I use the Jim Green Out back. For around the house I just go barefoot as much as I can. I hope this helps!

    Thnaks for the review ! Would you recommand Panta or Shamma for trail or road ?

    • @Jackalopeadventureclub
      @Jackalopeadventureclub  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching! Are you US or EU based (just assuming based on the sandals) if you are US based the Shamma might be your only option. If EU based Panta might be your only option. In general I I like the Shamma design for more technical trail scenarios and the Panta for a nice free feeling road run. But , I have not tested the Panta trail sandals yet.

      Thank you for watching. Thes best I can offer is find friend in Europe and send them to their house. Or if you talravel there order a pair to your hotel/airBNB/ hostel. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s the best I got. Even though they aren’t here now maybe if there is enough interest they would start offering shipping. For instance I know Shamma started working with some groups out in Europe (I think it was Germany) to sell shoes.

    Have you had any troubles keeping the straps nice and tight? I find I'm having to tighten the strap more and more, like every day now. Kind of annoying.

      Never mind, I just watched the part where you address that.

    I have a pair of Panta Lykaios and Shamma Maximus (Elite Lacing) sandals here. Both are nice quality products but the Panta especially seem to have really good quality. I like the metal plug for the toe strap instead of plastic.
    But in comparison to the Shammas, I just couldn't adjust the Panta lacing to fit very nicely. I always slip backwards or forwards a bit with my feet walking or running uphill or downhill. As suggested by Panta, I initially adjusted them to be very tight but I had to re-adjust them multiple times wearing them for one whole day doing gardening work. I used the initial lacing form and did not try any of the other two ways yet. The biggest disadvantage is that you cannot adjust them while you have them on your feet (or at least I couldn't do it).
    Do you have any tips? Maybe they will fit better when they break in?
    Currently I only use them for casual wear and for everything else the Shammas simply fit better and are much faster to adjust on the fly. Which is a bit unfortunate as I am living in Europe and the Pantas are much cheaper to get.

      Hey, it might help to get the extra ankle straps (Panta Thoknia). I use them when I'm out on the trails with my Panta Zaros and I want to adjust the laces ever so slightly. Also, my experience with the Zaros is that I have to tighten the laces (just by a few millimitres) every few runs, otherwise they start to become slightly loose. YMMV.

    How were you able to get a pair of these, since they don't ship to the US?

    • @Jackalopeadventureclub
      @Jackalopeadventureclub  10 месяцев назад +1

      I am very fortunate to have some friends and family in Europe. I was able to order sandals from the use to their house then they were able to bring them back. If you have a opportunity like that or if you happens to be traveling to EU your self I would definitely suggest sending them to your hotel, Air b&b, hostel or where ever you are staying. I know this is not the most practice, but it’s Al I can think of right now
