Just like my citizen tough black 😃
Interesting how he turned around the tongue in cheek term of "design by committee" into something actually appealing. The silver case one looks the best IMO
We have a winner: Gary from Canada was lucky. Thanks for the participation to everybody. We will do this again. 🙂
Goodmorning for Ohio, USA. Thanks for the video.
Lunchtime here in Germany ;-) Thanks for watching.
Greetings as well, from Tennessee, USA! I really like the sand variation! Nice design, too!
Thanks for posting!! 👍🍻
I really like this watch. Unfortunately I'm lost without a date.
@@IDKline 🤣
This is my favourite channel. I especially like it when you explain everything so nicely. I wish you a lot of success with the channel and happy life.
Thank you very much!
Ordered the sand on first sight. Love a good field watch. GADA indeed.
Hi Tim, I definitely vote for the sand colored version of this watch. It has the look of those vintage watches that I like so much. Yes, the color black gives a watch a tough-guy feel, but at the same time makes it similar to so many other models out there. As the saying goes, "De noche todos los gatos son negros" ("At night all cats are black"). Regards from Chile!
I'd love to put a velcro strap or a black Artem sailcloth strap with Omega-style clasp on that Circula.
Wir haben 1000 Leute gefragt, nun das erinnert mich an Ruck Zuck, wobei die Uhr echt nicht schlecht aussieht
hello Tim ,voting for the sand colored dial one ,by the way wouldn t mind winning the moels. cheers
According to the video >> I have the impression that with a diameter of 40 mm, the total thickness of 13.4 mm is a bit too large (min 5:44). Therefore, it is imperative to try it out. The reflection of the case is low (min 3:28), but not that of the glass (min 5:45).
Another great review. As I also have a 17cm wrist your reviews are the perfect fit 👍🏻
Hallo Tim, ich habe vor wenigen Tagen meine erste Circula und zwar die neue Divesport bestellt, bin sehr darauf gespannt. Wünsche frohe Osterfeiertage.
Danke, wünsche ich dir auch.
fantastic design. I liked much
Very legible, I like it.
Words in English are ,”reflective “ and “significance “.
5:56 I like the Circula's dial. The caseback is really cool. The rest of it doesn't really do it for me, but I can see that it looks like a good version of what it is.
It's cool that so many people's feedback led to this.
Another great review and I really like the concept gor the design. I like the watch but agree with others about the AR coating being insufficient. I do love the logo on the crown. Reminds me of the little piece of plastic we used to use in some 45 rpm records.....*old*
the term is albedo.
and this dial looks like a polaris to me.
which isn't bad.
This ia an amazing story, even if I do not particularly like the watch. What is most important to remember is that without an honest, informed and passionate reviewer like you, who puts.integrity.first, none of this would mean anything.
A nice looking watch with a good build to back it up, BUT it does look like those watches you see on a chemists (in Australia anyway) counter display.
Thats a great prize for the giveaway.I really like the design of Moels, was thinking about buying the Kickstarter.Would be nice if they could release a 2nd version, lumed indices and double coloured dials.I love the caseback of this watch
My daughter Betina is already working on a new model which we intend to launch next year. We will keep evolving the 528 lineup tho with new dials and lumen indices and hands so stay tuned. Thanks
That Moels watch is very retro.....love it!
It definitely has a very low albedo.
I like the no nonsense look, especially the Sand colourway. The antimagnetic feature is pretty cool.
However, does it do enough to make stand out from other field watches like Swiss Watch Company,
RZE, Vaer, Cincinnati Watch Company and others? Of that, I am unsure. Nice review. Thank you.
Proud owner of an earlier Circula 'committee-designed' watch, the SuperSport diver. It's a real super compressor (not a fake 'compressor- look' 2-crown watch). I have the teal-coloured sandwich dial with subtle lemon accents.
It's a great watch in all respects: materials, build quality, QC, movement regulation, etc. Made In Germany. 'Nuff said.
The Circula watch is less 'designed by committee' than I expected. I think the case work, while the rough surface wasn't a great idea - is quite original and cool. I want more field watches to consider the case better instead of making big blocks. This watch represents a way to have a case that's something other than sandblasted or brushed metal.
The biggest surprise though was that the people wanted old radium lume! There are so many flamewars about this online, I'd never have thought it would be the most popular.
Very cool piece 👍😎 thanks for sharing
A lot of people here complaining about the AR coating but I believe it's Tim's light box because most of his reviews have the same top bright light creating the same annoying reflections. Tim, when ever possible I suggest investing in a new lighting set-up, your reviews are honest, you are a very charismatic guy but your light box does not play just to your reviews. The Circula has good specs and it looks well built but it lacks design innovation, there are zillions of watches out there with the same design. I will send you an email because I would LOVE to win the amazing Moels and Co! Wish me luck!!!
Yes, that's a good idea. I need a new lighting indeed. Will arrange that.
@@CasebackWatches try to buy a better camera too, a Sony Alfa 3 for example. You can buy a used one for a reasonable price. It's an investment but the quality of your videos will look much better.
never was big fan of black watches, the steel case odmf two other variants seems more up my alley, stats are great tho
Its a good looking watch but with that movement and no date its not an everyday watch. With no bracelet its expensive.
This is a cool video and give away to notice as I turned of my alarm. I did turn on coffee before watching.
Das Wort ist "significance."
Great video
Thank you.
About the circula watch, nice clean design but.....the glass antireflective coating is really doing nothing. From your wrist shot outside, the glass reflects the surroundings like a mirror maken it very difficult to read.
I feel that black one is completely uninspiring. Looks like a plastic quartz watch.
I like the watch but not the aged lume. Should have gone with crisp white in my opinion.
The English word is: significance 🙂
Well, it looks … big.
Albedo
👍
Email sent, i never won a give away that watch is very very nice!
Zeroeth.
You're a Ninja! ;-)
First.
I think that when you put 1,000 people's ideas (and what they like) into a watch, you very well could end up with a watch that no one really likes. This watch has very little appeal to me. Just my honest opinion. It's too generic. Too dark. The reflection in the sun (outside) is terrible. Hard pass from me on this one.
Christopher Ward went to their forum for input into the new Trident 300. It's got the greatest hits from dive watches of the past but still has its own character.
Man, did I ever nail who would look good with the TV watch... a larger attractive female. Then the designer turns out to be just that. Does the term, self-licking ice cream cone fit here, I wonder.
IMHO, too big and too thick. No reason for a watch like that to be more than 10mm thick. And, oddly enough, too short. Short L2L is usually a good thing, but only 46 with 40 in diameter (plus the thickness) makes it look "chubby". Just because it's a tool watch doesn't mean it can't have nice proportions. The problem with design by committee is that in an effort to please everyone it pleases no-one. You will always end up with an "average" (i.e. mediocre) design.
I agree with you, most watch guys have bad taste and if you listen to them the design looks mediocre in the end.
Don’t forget the soft iron cage. There are your 2mm extra.
Mostly colors and diameter were asked. The rest like l2l was given and fits nicely in my opinion
@@circulawatches you have to highlight this cage because only high end watches have them. The design is ordinary, nothing new so focus on this feature to fight the fierce competition. When I say "ordinary" I don't mean "bad", I mean common but nothing wrong with that. Wish you good luck!
@@IDKline yes, there are many doing the same but it's not helping making better designs. Look what's available on the market, they are boring designs and all look the same. Moels at last made something different and that's why it got 2 international design awards this year.
@@IDKline I like Och und Junior, junghans, ming, arcanaut, Dietrich, Gorilla, DSwiss, Code41 and Moels & Co..
