Fabulous! Lovely to be able to see another video from this wonderful band. Great to be able to perform 'in the round' too. Maybe not so great for Dave since we only get to see the back of his head, - but the bass was sublime, and the overall sound mix really good. A cracking solo from Pete in true Pat Metheney style, and Hattie as superb as ever. Really looking forward to the album release!

Are you playing only the material from the various line-ups of Joni with the Fusion All-Stars? Or are you also extrapolating how those bands might have played other songs?
Hi there Baribrotzer! Thanks for writing... We're trying to stick to the late 70's period as much as possible - as this gives the band an identity. Also, as everybody in Hejira are essentially jazz musicians, it makes sense to be drawing from the material and trying to do justice to the vibe of that killer album, Shadows and Light!
@@peteoxleyguitar I suppose that's enough material - and since they probably never played it exactly the same way twice, you don't have to either, nor do you need to copy their solos other than getting close-enough-for-jazz tones from your instruments.
